I have 2 or 300 hours across PS3 and PC and I’ve only ever seen one Vagrant, near that final bonfire in the grand archives before you drop down into the little forest and crystal cave for Seathe. Still remember it so vividly
Actually meet a lot vagrants. I did not know there were so rare. Met my last one on the invisible bridge leading to Seath. This was kind of ridiculous, because the little thing knew where the end of the bridge was and I didn't.
This is basically my build when I did my first play through of DS1 except for a few notable differences. First, I have an ordinary great axe, a black knight great axe and a zweihander in rotation to adjust to different enemies. Second, I medium roll with +5 Tarkus’ armor with ring of steel protection for 450 physical defense.
On my first attempt to play dark souls, in the berg, just after you see the red dragon for the first time, I had a vagrant spawn. I've never seen one again.
@solarpellets it might have been before the first fog wall leading to the burg, it's been 10 years so its a little hazy, but it was definitely around that area.
That's pretty surprising, I've seen quite a few in that time. Do you play offline most of the time? Like, do you see messages and bloodstains, or are you logged off?
@@TheRealBlackSwordsman apparently these little fellas have a chance to spawn in your world in place of another player's bloodstain if they died without picking their souls up on their world

I mean, I've written about these areas so many times. I have three more runs written, on top of the ones that are already uploaded lol. There are only so many ways to say "i ran past the axes in Sen's."
Weird to see you go out of your way to get the titanite pickups, as the large ones can easily be farmed from the slugs in Blighttown and the chunks from the Darkwraiths in lower New Londo, and you already unlocked both locations.

To be fair, if people are taking issue with my identity, I don't want them here anyway. Them commenting on it only drives engagement, so either way, it's a win for me :3
So I believe that the best AR is actually from the Dragon King Greataxe from Gaping Dragon's Tail. Because that gets you on the route of the oneshot with it's weapon art.
AR stands for attack rating, it's not the highest damage you can do with a single attack, that's dependent on AR, but also things like motion value and damage type, and in the case of the dragon king greataxe, the special attack has two hits, which makes it do even more damage. This wasn't the highest damage in a single hit, it's just the highest number you can get in the menu. The highest AR, regardless of motion values, damage type, whatever.
Afaik, the ps3 version had some of the most activity when it came out, so that's not terribly surprising. Unless it was recent, in which case that's extremely surprising
In base damage I think that the weapon with the most damage is the enchanted great ax at +5 with more than 800 base and with buffs it can reach around 1800
I believe the highest base AR is the enchanted large club? Or magic, I don't remember. But you can't buff magic or enchanted weapons, so the demon greataxe gets higher
DS2 and DeS have the two best osts in the whole anthology by far, imo. DS2's, aside from, like, Majula, is so underrated, and DeS is incredibly underutilized
My first ever run was full havel with the demon greataxe, fap ring and havel ring. Fat rolling the whole time, obviously. Only took off the armor for gwyn cause it just wasnt working. I didn't know how to parry yet 😅. Did keep the greataxe tho! Rolling attacks help a lot, they're relatively fast. Edit: I also got O&S second try in that firdt run. Full havel and a +10 demon greathammer works very well. Imagine my surprise when my second run took 50-ish attempts 😂
Yup, 250 hours in dark souls 1 here, never seen a vagrant. Granted I did play like 100 hours during the great online servers are down session, but still
I think the run was poor because of how late he put off the large ember and also the fact that you can get a level 15 weapon by only killing the capra demon through farming the worms in blighttown and the dark wraiths in new londo. Also I think the highest ar is achieved through a max level dragon covenant and a level 99 strength and intelligence for the crystal magic weapon with the crystal catalyst which magic adjust works with and is the highest magic adjust in the game
I can only assume you're referring to me, in which case, not a he. Anyway, the only thing I did before getting the large ember was the gargoyles, everything else is required to reach it. I didn't get the very large ember until I had the necessary items to get to +10 because I wouldn't have been able to use it otherwise. Nothing was put off
