Cycling Sacramento: Late night July 4th 2024 ride through suburban Sacramento !

Riding through the local neighborhood about 10:00 PM on July 4th. By then many of the family celebrations using the approved "Safe and Sane" fireworks had ended. People were starting to bring out the "heavy artillery" large illegal fireworks which they blasted until dawn! Fireworks not in a organized show which leave the ground are illegal in California but it didn't seem to stop anyone.
The whole metropolitan region was covered by smoke haze and the smell of gunpowder. It would be interesting to see how much money was spent on all these fireworks! I hope that everyone had a safe 4th, Happy Birthday America!
