    I just love the enthusiasm and exuberance that you exhibit as you described the sound characteristics of these speakers! These speakers interest me greatly.

    Your content/ descriptions are ace mate. For those of us looking to buy more niche speakers that don't get a lot of press love, you are a gem. Keep on trucking. Get those thumnails a bit more exciting to get the youtube Gods on your side. Peace!

    Just managed to finally get my hands on a pair of these (ex-display, so I didn't have to endure the break in time) and they have changed my life. Thanks for your great review, pointed me in the right direction!

      Explain how they changed your life , very interesting
      If someone can afford these obviously they not a silly person
      But if you not a silly person and assuming intelligent coz no dummy buying these for that amount, how can speakers change Intelligent persons life
      Very interesting😅

      @@user-el2zj3pw5r Ex-display, so didn't pay full price for a start.
      Also listening to music is an emotional experience, what does intelligence have to do with it? I didn't buy them because I am intelligent, I bought them because I am a degenerate that loves to be consumed by the music I listen too.
      I have never had such high-end speakers before so listening to them has completely changed the listening experience to some of my favorite music of all time. In that way, they exceeded my expectations and I didn't expect them to change my life this much. The detail, articulation, and outright fun with which they present music have blown me away. Easily one of the best things I have ever purchased.

      @@user-el2zj3pw5r what are you talking about, these speakers cost about €4.000-€5.000 (and the 502sp about €5.600 where i live). What's so expensive about it? It's the same price as a cheap second hand car lol. Everyone who has a job can buy these. If you can't, then you're simply not intelligent with your money and life. Plus these speakers are 1000% worth every penny. Why take anything less? If you want entertainment then get good entertainment. We only live once.

    Don’t see many reviews of these. I love my pair. Bought after auditioning a range of speakers from £1500-5000. Big, fun sound that just demands attention. I use them for music and home theatre. They sound a lot bigger than their size suggests. I’d love a pair of f702s… one day! Oh and I got them for 2.5k.

      wow you got them at a great price then , i would also love to hear the 702s , the shop audio lounge leicester that lent me the speakers have also just got a pair of fyne audio f1-5s in so hopefully at some point i will be able to get those on the channel
      thanks for your comment and have a look at the f1-5s they are suppose to be out of this world

    I would like to give you some feedback for your inspiring review here. I have never seen so much energy and passion for a product as in this review. I was so impressed. Last week I heard Fyne Audio speakers live for the first time. It was the F500 SP and I was already very impressed by these speakers. Now I would like to listen to the 501 SP. The amplifier I prefer is a Rega Elex R. Wonderful device. Thank you for your passion. Stay healthy and best wishes to you. 😊

    You say twice that the patterned rubber speaker surround "disperses the sound properly", does that imply that a smooth/un-patterned surround wouldn't disperse the sound properly?
    If so then why do other manufacturers not employ these patterned rubber surrounds?

    Thanks for the enthusiastic review 👍.
    Are they fatiguing in top end? And how do they respond to poor recordings? Also, are they warm sounding a bit?

  • @jimdavis5230

    These speakers are capable of an astonishing three dimensional holographic sound stage. However, in my experience in order to achieve this you need lots of bass traps. In my small listening room I've had to install 29 large traps to achieve this. I have a mixture of limp membrane pressure traps and velocity traps. I now hear sounds that are located right and left of my listening position which is quite scary. Sadly completely treating your listening room with bass traps isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny. I'm talking thousands of pounds not hundreds of pounds.

    • @FatpigeonAudioReviews
      @FatpigeonAudioReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I thought they sounded amazing in my lounge with no sound treatment so I can only imagine how good they would sound in a room like yours , I'm not sure if my wife would let me transform our lounge like that but hey all I can do is ask lol

      @@FatpigeonAudioReviews Hi Gareth and thanks for your reply. I live alone in a three bed extended house in Wales. I was married for many years until my Wife run off with another man. Divorce settlement cost me 120K but never mind. Anyway, despite all the acoustic treatment in my listening room I still have a nasty bass hump around 100Hz. Most recordings don't have that note so sound great. However some do and sound nasty when that note is present. I intend to build more limp membrane bass traps tuned to 100Hz to try to eliminate this nasty standing wave in my listening room. Lastly I have designed and built my own power amplifiers using lateral power mosfets with huge power supplies which can match the most expensive commercial offerings.

    I can get these brand-new for $1400 here in Cambodia but I'm really worried that they'll overpower my room, which is about 2.67m across the front and 5m deep and made entirely of poured concrete. Too much speaker, yes?

      There is plenty of bass in those ones, not as much as subwoofer produce but it always depends how much bass you want, it is rather personal feeling than someone advice.

    Are these speakers good for smaller rooms? Im eying the bigger 502sp but the room is about 27 square meters. Wonder if it will be overpowering the room.

    • @eeavik
      @eeavik 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tested them in my 30m2 room and they were playing quite easily. I had opportunity to compare them with F502sp but final decision was F501sp as they sounded much better and there is enough power in those small boxes.

    I read an article about 501sp.
    That is bass sound is exaggerated and rather loud.
    Do you agree?
    I' m going to buy Accuphase amp. and looking for speakers.
    I wonder 501sp matches well with Accuphase.

    • @eeavik

      That's true, bass is solid and when you first hear them they give a lot of pressure in the lower frequencies.
