    Well done again Bill, this kit would teach a beginner shaping, polishing and how to personalize picks. If selected, let a newbie have it. I love to see that this many people have taken an interest in our trade!

    Great little review Bill. I had a set of RCS picks ages ago that had laminated rippled handle and they were good

    I'm very impressed with the new cg intro, Bill! . Looks great! . About the kit those zig zag handles looks fantastic to me.

    I bought a bunch of single picks from these guys. They came really fast, and after finishing them, they seem nice. I wouldn't mind winning a matching set.

    hey Bill, I noticed that LockpicksAustralia wasnt on the locklab website, Ive ordered a Sparrows Night School and some other bits and bobs from there and expect them this week. If you wanted to have a review of their store for the LockLab website where should I send it ?
    Keep it up, you are an inspiration to me and many others

    I love all your different video introduction animations. I'm trying to work out whether you make them yourself (must take longer than the rest of the video) or if they come in bulk as 'insert phrase here'

    Another great review. What pick sets are the best value in the $35-$40 range?

  • @FusionDeveloper
    @FusionDeveloper 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have 2 Southern Specialties Ripple Handle picks and I would love to have this whole set. Also, it looks like they don't need much sanding, compared to some other picks you have reviewed. Lightly running your fingers over the ripples, can help take your mind off boredom or frustration while picking or waiting to pick a lock. (Also, I would GLADLY pay both Postage AND Packaging costs if I win).

    As long as the pick set is good for beginners, I wouldn't mind having it. Also- would you consider having an app made in the future? I know that you've only recently gotten the website really set up, I'm just curious.

    I like the kinks in the handles. Seems like it would help make them stacked together nice.

  • @CountCurls
    @CountCurls 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    For that price point I'd expect a better selection of torsion wrenches. I recently got a top of the keyway wrench and I'm loving it, I think they should be standard in all kits.

  • @wlochu93
    @wlochu93 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's a little bit pricey but still good looking set. Specially as you said for beginners because there is wide variety of picks to choose.

    I would like a chance to give these a try. The folded handle looks nice too.

  • @blwngt1598
    @blwngt1598 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those look EXACTLY like the ones I'm in the middle of making out of pallet banding! Same thickness and all. My guess for the "zigzag" pressed into them is it's for more strength/stability similar to running sheet metal through a bead roller. *If* I somehow win these & they aren't steps above the ones I'm making then I'll send them back along with some of mine to be given away again. Otherwise I'll just send some of mine for Bill to rate then either give them away or just throw out if that's where they belong!

    I really like the website! the background looks neat and everything seems to work fine without many scripts (i hate websited filled with endless scripts). everything is conveniently placed and well sorted i think and everything is readable. i like it!

    That "fluff" in the kit may be useful for some of the oddball locking mechanisms on my property.

  • @RobinHagg
    @RobinHagg 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like the wavy handle. it would not stick to a flat surface or in a pickpocket (is that not the best or worst word for pocket full of picks).

  • @chris2316
    @chris2316 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seems like a decent kit, was a bit disappointed about the lack of a bogota, I'd have replaced those two unnecessary picks with a bogota if I was the manufacturer. Still would love to have it though! :)

    I wonder if you rock that figure 8 half ball thingy in a double sided lock. Just a guess although again I completely stink at raking and rocking but picking I am good at LOL what I really need is a set of tension wrenches mine bend and flex well tbh I have a really crappy set LOL

    I like the rippled handles they look like you should know what you're doing when you bust them out...of course being a newbie I'd probably go for the fluff picks and blow my chances of making a good first impression! Lol

    I am really interested in learning this skill. What set would you say is the best one out there for me to start my journey with? (Assuming that cost is not a factor) Also any advice or pointers I need to know ahead of time that will save me hours of frustration down the road? Thanks.

    decent set, why are some of the shafts centered in the handles and some are offset to one side?

  • @koffeezombie293

  • @shallowmello9640
    @shallowmello9640 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    These look pretty cool. I've found the angle on those rakes (same as the southord ones I have) are a bit too steep and they get stuck in the key way pretty easily. Nevertheless decent beginners set.

  • @lknanml
    @lknanml 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Different looking. Seems like it would fix the picking up a flat pick issue. I can't use bare picks for long. Still learning and my finger pressure is not 2nd nature yet so I end up with sore fingers when concentrating on the pins and forgetting to relax my hand.

  • @thioden
    @thioden 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Even with it's flaws, still looks like a nice beginners kit. I'd like to try em.

  • @stefanoio2639
    @stefanoio2639 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not one of the best sets you reviewed, but can came in handy for a beginner who's still experimenting and trying to figure out the differences between various picks. No more "secret words"? Anyway, I'd love to win it.
