Would be great if you can make a series of episodes on autoimmune kidney disease such IGA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, vasculitis etc. These diseases are almost always not directly talked about on channels covering kidney diseases.. thank you!
@faizasiddique6201 changing to a low salt - whole foods plant based diet seems to help a lot in my case. So no processed foods (even bread, pasta etc) just veggies, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds. I also don't cook with oil, but steam or boil when I eat warm food. In the summer I eat a lot of raw food(fruits and vegetables) I try to get at least 1 green smoothie every day as well. And of course I don't smoke or drink alcohol. I do sport on a regular basis and manage stress with meditation or active relaxation exercises. All my blood markers have improved after adapting this lifestyle. I also had autoimmune markers (ANA and P-ANCA) elevated, which also now are undetectable. Proteinuria (albuminuria) has gone down from 70 mg/day to 18 mg/day. GFR was 110 on my last check up.. I still have microscopic blood in my urine, but other than that, you can't really tell from my labs that i have this disease anymore. And during this time there has been no change in medication, so I can only attribute the positive changes in my lab results to lifestyle changes. I had my kidney biopsy about 5 years ago where you could see the disease had caused significant scarring, so I guess that will never heal fully. But as long as I can manage it with lifestyle, I'm not too worried anymore. I'm 40 years old btw and have normal BMI. I hope that helps. I'm not saying this will help you or anyone else, but I think it's worth trying to get as healthy as possible what ever that means for you. God bless you!
My brother was placed on dialysis recently because his BP had been uncontrolled for a long time and now his kidneys are affected. His creatinine was a little over 20, BUN over 100. I’m not sure what his eGFR is. He was having symptoms (shortness of breath, mild pulm edema). They didn’t give him diuretics because of his creatinine. Not sure if he’s having acute on chronic kidney failure. We’re pretty much told that he will need dialysis for life. I don’t want this for him but they’ve already started while he’s in the hospital. I’ve been looking at changing his diet to try to preserve or reverse the damage but I don’t know if he’s too far gone.
They want to use the blood pressure card is an inflammatory condition that causes all diseases and they don't want to get to the root cause of the inflammation some people can change their diet and everything clears up some people have autoimmune conditions like I do and it don't make no difference if you take the blood pressure your inflammatory conditioning in your body rules over everything even where the medicine don't even work.
