you're not supposed to do anything. You can solve a puzzle and change the outcome of the ending cutscene. The puzzle is googleable if you want that specific ending
I think that the title is misleading as you are quite literally both running in the beginning and jumping throughout the video. Or maybe those words mean different

Input wise there's no jumping and running, only back-stepping and falling.
