    Very nice thanks for the video. nice to see an easy to use vanilla+ modlist. I've only been modding a short amount of time since the games launch, i started playing on console. Can be daunting to start creating your own modlist. I've tried many mods with varying degrees of success. One of the biggest improvements of my modding experience comes from swapping Vortex to MO2, turns out Vortex was causing a lot of my issues. The ability to manually alter your Load Order and the fact you don't add most mod files directly to the game directory is a massive help. Definitely recommend them along with all of Simon's other mods like Scion and Thaumaturgy! Simon's mods all synergize really well to create a cohesive vanilla+ experience, expanding on and refining existing mechanics instead of adding bloat with a bunch of new mechanics

      Same!

    • @Smoking_Tiger
      @Smoking_Tiger ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Kaiserker Exactly! That's what a V+ or simplified modlist needs- not an atom bomb of extra stuff, but improvement of mechanics, QoL features, maybe a few immersion and light town/location/interior overhaul mods, and an easy facelift! Skyrim is amazing on its own, but it just needs a little booster seat for the modern day. As far as character progression and mechanics go, Simon's mods are a great and underrated start. Apothecary gets no attention, but it's a mod I can't play without these days. Mysticism and Thaumaturgy do a great job of bringing back some effects from previous games in a balanced and vanilla friendly way. Adamant takes the perk system and reworks the progression to make more sense, but it won't smack you in the head with an almost overwhelming mountain of new perks and mechanics.
      Currently looking at maybe trying a new perk mod called Master of One... It changes perks dramatically by making ever perk have both positive and negative effects. If only more magic mods were patched in besides mysticism... would be a no brainer, especially when combined with Experience, which is another essential mod I refuse to play without now.

    I think I reset everything and use your Mod List
    Thank you

    Man all I want is for my game to look like yours. I have never modded or really even played Skyrim before and its so complicated and there are so many extra steps just to get my good to look semi decent.

    Good modlist. Simple but it look like a modlist that the author of the video REALLY USE FOR GAMEPLAY and not some fancy stuff used only for videos

    I'm just getting the hang of Mod Organizer 2 and using it to mod Skyrim. In your google doc, for example, under Skyrim 202X, you say to "Delete / hide / overwrite the landscape textures in favor of previously mentioned mods."
    How do I do this when I am installing using the mod manager? How do I delete/hide specific sections?
    I see you also mention the same thing under the "Skyrim Remastered Caves" mod, to "Hide / delete the dirt cave textures."

    Hey redshift thanks for the video. Im pretty new to modding just getting it setup. When you say your modlist is in correct load order is that the whole way down? so if I load them all in order top to bottom like in doc(first is Static Mesh Improvement -> Last is Compass Navigation Overhaul)

    Incredibly great modlist and video! But there's a small problem in your google doc modlist. The Azurite Weathers modlink took me to the error Nexus page(not the one in the ENB turtorial), but Azurite Weathers still on Nexus. I assume the modlink is wrong? Yet still an amazing google doc guide! Loves you include how to install ENB in there!

    Looks incredible. Been wanting a more vanilla style load order lately, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Any idea if this would run well on an RTX 3070? My former PC was a GTX 980m, so I'm not familliar with the performance of the RTX 30 series.

    • @redshift1
      @redshift1  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It would certainly run well! - I would get the upscaler just for good measure though.

    Hopefully you will upload a video version of a tutorial for this one (from vanilla skyrim SE to this).. Tried to follow the written doc, faces some issues. I must be that dumb. huhuhuhu

    I'm currently in the process of creating my own modlist for the very first time, and this is absolutely great!!! Do you have a discord or somewhere to discuss modding? I find this is the closest to my personal taste of skyrim i've seen so far

    What tool do I use mod my Skyrim original version?
    And do you have a video to install the mods ?

    Oh! I've noticed you've got the nordic UI compass navigation overhaul working, mind if I ask how you did that? Did you need any special mods for it? I've been trying myself for a while and it never worked. Either way great video! Always good to see a new modlist.

    • @redshift1
      @redshift1  ปีที่แล้ว

      It requires no patches - though there is a nordic ui skin availible for download on the Compass Navi page

    I love light mod lists and am going to immediately start using this as a base. I think afterwards for my own tastes I will focus on adding some first-person based combat changes. Like maybe an archery overhaul and FP animation changes. Maybe also something to up the combat difficulty a bit without being spongy. Lastly any major unofficial patches and basic stuff. Trying to think of how I can get those things with minimal mod count.

    • @jjongeneel22
      @jjongeneel22 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, do you have a "full list" you can share, adding patches and stuff, or is this literally it? Thanks for the video btw!

    • @redshift1
      @redshift1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jjongeneel22 My full list is 1000+ mods - these are just the heavy-hitters. I made a copy+patse of my LO on the about section of my channel

    It's my first time modding (and playing skyrim) and your guide has been very helpful. I had a lot of fun installing the mods with the list you provided. I was just wondering would the performace be the same when I just use LOOT instead of manually setting the mods in order?

    • @redshift1
      @redshift1  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Performance would be the same yeah, Loot can only sort plugins keep in mind so little texture packs you may have to sort yourself.
