Worst part of this game tbh. Never have they tried improving their platforming feature yet they continue to put it in their games. Anyway thanks for the tutorial this was harder than any boss I've fought so far.

I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with this. It doesn't make any sense that I have to die more times trying to get down this hole than I ever have while fighting a boss. This should be the damn finale if they are gonna make it so difficult lol

That's so stupid indeed, I threw some on the floor, they slipped through the floor and broke and then I found out that you can actually jump there! Now I have to do this bs jumping section again, fml.

Its honestly hilarious to me that they designed this area like this. The sewers were already cancer, then the alter being the entrance to this is not at all obvious, then you have to figure out how to climb down these coffins. How did anyone ever figure this shit out? Lmao.

The walk off is the way to do it. Before the spell, also walk off too.
Yeah I think you can see I almost over jumped that one. That ledge has a little extra width which is friendly (sort of anyway).

Think I am going to need someone to get through this part for me lol. I get to the part. Where you say to walk. But I just walk right off the ledge and die. I don’t know how you do it lol.
It's kind of funny, I used this guide to get down safely on my first try. But I forgot to grab the fingerprint shield. Took me about 15 tries to repeat. The two jumps that were challenging... first, from the last beam to the first diagonal coffin; second after you walk onto a coffin, there are two coffins on top of each other... you have to aim for the open corner on the top one to land on the bottom one. I missed that one a lot. Luckily, because I got it on my first try, my falls were all safe.

Yes, the other side of that door will lock you into one of the endings. The "bad" ending by most peoples' estimations. To get inside you need to take off all your clothes (no seriously). But I would advise strong consideration before doing so.

The jump at 0:58 is very difficult. It’s better to land on the upper platform, then the one with the runes on it in the video, and then the one that you landed on directly doing that jump.
Good advice - there are definitely alternative approaches here and I'd suggest this one if the one in the video isn't working for you

I have a love hate relationship with this game. I think it's brilliant and it's the most fun I've ever had playing a video game. On the other hand,if you're playing the unpatched disc version, it's a glitchy mess. Some of the loot is missing and chests are sometimes empty upon opening. I made a mad dash for the Erdtree Seal only to have my soul crushed because it simply wasn't there. It's also weird that some spells, incantations and weapons have different names.
How do you get the items that are underneath the tents? This has me really stumped and I feel like it's such an obvious thing lol
It’s not obvious at all. You need to bait the monster nearby (one of the merchant guys) to knock it down with an attack. So far as I know it’s the only instance like this in the whole game. There are the statues that can break this way but those seem really different

Yes! You need to aggro the monster nearby and let them break it for you - sort of like the glowing statues out on the map

1:17 When you picked up the incantation, there’s an item that’s blocked we need to destroy a structure. How do you do it?
You have to lure an enemy to come and break it for you if I recall

Oh that’s definitely the hardest one I think. You’ll notice I kind of use the step halfway down to stop the forward momentum and that seemed to work. If you get past there you’re golden. Although, obviously not for sure since you can see I had previously died on the next step…

I think it’s the Forsaken Depths site of Grace. You fight a boss then there’s an illusory wall of sorts at the back of the room that leads to this puzzle

I lost 100k runes in this level. I forgot there was a grace right where the boss died.

There’s an illusory wall in the room where you fought Mohg, I believe it was just right at the back of the room

Where did you start!?
This begins deep underneath Leyndell Capital. In the catacombs beneath there. There are a bunch of videos that will guide you to this spot. It's right after the boss battle with Mohg.

What to do next?
You have to remove all of your armor and stand in front of the freaky door thing. A warning, I would sit at the Grace and speak to Melina first
It’s too bad that you have to start all over again if you die lol.
What about that item that's stuck behind those ratty tents at the bottom?

The worst part about this section is it doesn't even feel rewarding to complete, with bosses there's a sense of satisfaction but this is just frustrating and overly tedious for no reason, all you feel is a sense of "thank f*ck it's over I never have to do this again"
Can I get here after the city is covered in ashes ?
Yep! In fact the game makes it easier. When you go to the city nearby the first grace is a sewer hole sort of thing that drops you straight to the start of the run to this area.

Hmmm... When you go to the Leyndell, Ashen Capital grace there's a little bit of crumbled buildings close by. It's the closest grouping of ruins. Right in the middle of that is a hole you can drop down.

I genuinely do not know. It's like the similar jump puzzle in Dark Souls 3, which also sucked - except it's twice as long.

At this point I'm willing to pay someone to fall for me, F this BS. This is the 4th guide I've watch trying to mimic and they all have sketchy falls where the game will indiscriminately decide YOU DIDNT LAND. I am managing to die every other jump, walk, backstep, roll F THIS!!!!
No question it took me about 20 tries to put this little run together (I wasn’t trying to make a guide just recorded the footage after and tossed it up here). There are definitely a couple jumps on here where I got a little bit lucky.

You might know this but there is a way to reverse this ending - it requires completing an npc questline that I think is worth doing either way

@@TheZestyOne that’s true. I feel like on this one, the developers actually give fair warning with Melina yelling at you at each of the graces as you make your way down. But it still sucks

Might be you’ve gone too late in the game. If you go there after fire on the mountain area I believe this becomes blocked off until NG+

Sorry I was wrong about NG+ - you have to approach the door with no clothes on. I’m honestly not sure how you’re supposed to know that. You can do this anytime, even after beating the game I believe.

Room is the worst area in the game the jumping platform to platform is janky you miss a jump and land then slide onto the other platform you die this has to be the shittiest mechanic in the game I’ve ever seen when you slowly strafe onto side objects

Which roots did you mean?
@@ArchaeologyTube In the boss fight area the roots look burned away for you, in my game they are in tact but I can see behind them.
