    Dave, one thing I have noticed about you in all of, or in most of your videos, is that once you have a specimen out in an enclosure that is open to the air, you always have "One" eye on the spider at all times no matter what you are doing. Once and awhile, you give the camera a glance, but overall, you constantly have a watchful eye on the specimen.
    Me personally, half a dozen or so times, I've taken my eye off the subject, for only a moment, like 10 seconds.... and that's when the spider knows to make the move. It's especially critical the smaller the spider is.

    Greetings and salutations! In the past, you have touched on different aspects of the male t's care. This time though, you really delved into a lot more detail and also the reasoning behind it. I especially found this video very interesting! Thank you so kindly for always keeping your videos informative and entertaining. I do have one small ask...can we see it when you try the hazmat suit? And actually, there is another keeper on TH-cam named Tarantuala Kat. She also really struggles with the hairs. She puts on layers of long sleeves, goggles, a mask and dishwasher gloves. But it is for her best interest that she does it. And we are all used to it.
    Best to Mrs Cameralady! Thanks and praise, from a long time viewer of your channel, with love from Peterborough Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️

    Two questions. First, the hairs. Can they come off just by contact with the packing paper, or must they rub the hairs off?
    Second, if the hairs were to get on your clothes, will washing be enough to remove them? Bonus question. Do the hairs loose potency after any amount of time?

    • @saras.8592
      @saras.8592 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    • @daveslittlebeasties
      @daveslittlebeasties  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They generally have to eject the hairs, never thought of the hairs going through the wash I think it must neutralise them as I have not had problems like that ? and I think they hold their potency if left undisturbed 👍

    Might be a strange question.
    If a male tarantula of 1 species is ready to mate and comes across a female tarantula of another species and she's receptive is there a possibility they could mate. So you could have cross breeds like dogs.

    • @DoorsToHideBehind156
      @DoorsToHideBehind156 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I believe in some species with different color forms such as the Brazilian zebra A. Seemanni that has occurred but it's frowned upon to do so because it muddies the bloodlines and confuses people to what locale they have.

    • @DoorsToHideBehind156
      @DoorsToHideBehind156 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This was actually a big problem with the grammostola pulchra Brazilian black. There are two species on either side of the river where they are native that are slightly different but look identical and cannot be crossbred. People in the hobby were confused or got mislabeled species and when they tried to breed it always resulted in death and failure. So it was widely believed this species is hard to produce in captivity when in reality they were unknowingly putting the wrong species together. They are endangered now because of how many years were lost before successful pairings occurred.

    • @daveslittlebeasties
      @daveslittlebeasties  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Its very unlikely that in the wild different species would not inter breed with each other, in captivity some have been mixed , this should be avoided at every turn and is totally unessary 👍

    Hi Dave and Camera Lady 💙💕 hope you’re doing well and enjoying your Thursday evening.
    You are such a tease Dave 😂 All these pairings, egg sacs etc Your content is never boring 😊
    You got two absolute gems out from those containers 🕷️🕷️ It’s such a pity that their lifespan isn’t longer. But he has a job or 3 to do in his short time once he matures!

    Dave, do you have a beautiful tree spider Amazonicus germani (ex. Pseudoclamoris gigas) in your collection??

    I think that the first spider was pretty with those leg markings and was disappointed that I didn't hear you say"what a pretty spider". Don't hurt his feelings

    Looks as if things are going to be very busy for some time! I dearly hope that you both won’t be forced to endure many, if any, hairy situations with your latest arrivals! They were incredibly impressive to look at- both very handsome examples of their species’! Good luck!

    Why is being wet so dangerous for many spiders?

    • @daveslittlebeasties
      @daveslittlebeasties  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The same reason you would not like to live in a wet house it would cause many health issues as time goes bye 👍

    What handsome handsome males, both of them. What got me was both of them weren't skinny... to me they looked quite beefy!!! And healthy, too. You filled in a lot of questions about the males. Thank you. Love your videos, mate. You're quite the entertainer! You're a big factor in why your channel is so successful, that might seem obvious but the obvious is a valid reason. Cheers to the misses, too.

    Hey Dave & Camera Lady!
    Great video as usual, both males look very good, very healthy looking lads. Very simple but well done enclosures. Looking forward to seeing their babies in the future.
    A little suggestion for the future when you`ve got time Dave (i know you`re a very busy guy): So i know you`ve been on Scott`s live several times (believe me, i love them, good laugh for everyone involved), but can we expect a live-stream on your channel in the near or far future Dave?
    Great video, AMAZING shots from Camera Lady, and as usual Dave is as good, if not better than Sir David Attenborough with his commentary. I grew up watching his documentaries so that is a high compliment, Dave.
    See you Monday mate!

    Those two males are two very handsome spiders. Seeing them in their enclosures makes the itching worth while, IMO anyway lol. Am definitely looking forward to seeing the pairing videos for them

    It seems all keepers have at least one species who’s hairs they can’t abide! If there was gonna be one in a spider lineup though, though, might well be that hairy bastard, lmao
