You have beautiful cc! Also I know this video is older so you might already know but there is a mod so you don't need to use omps thingies. You can just move them up and down like we do with wall objects. Lovely build and build idea! X

what a cool idea and build. so can sims 2 can actually sell cats at a business? or have them walk around on business lot? what if you made pet accesible only catwalks on the 2nd floor? XD
That’s such a cool idea I love that! Yeah in sims 2 you can sell pets but they just appear inside a glass box basically, they don’t walk around unfortunately. But if the sim who owns the business has pets they can walk around the business, and your sim can sell their pets to other sims but I’m not sure if it counts as a business thing.

@@antisocialbunbun ive been meaning go get back into it and ur vids have given me a boost! its been so long since ive played the sims 2, my old computer died years ago and it was back when you had to enter product keys and have all the discs 😂 gotta get it again somehow!! and its also great seeing actual sims 2 builds cause most of the ones on here are sims 4 😭
@@mard3887 you definitely should get back into it!! :) There's great guides on tumblr as well as a subreddit called r/sims2help that have step by step instructions for downloading all the games and getting them to work on modern pcs! It can be a bit of a struggle to set up but once you get it working it's so great, I actually like going to community lots now, when I was a kid I never went anywhere because the loading screens were so long. 😂 and there's lots of amazing modders and cc creators still making amazing creations for the game!

For the time being I tracked down some more of the items I used like walls, clutter, curtains, as well as two pinterest boards that are great for clutter and pet items and added them to the description! For the couches in this build they are just maxis couches with either cluedo default replacements or luasims recolors, I added links to both in the description as well! And I put in two forum/forum threads that are superrr helpful and fun to browse through and waste a ton of time on finding cc! Hope that helps you find some cool stuff :)

What a cute idea! Makes me want to poke at my modern neighborhood again. Love the recolored sign out front! I can't use items that aren't in simlish personally so it's always fun to see it embraced on different objects. I think Marcus might be my favorite of the bunch.

It’s the sims 2 ultimate collection! But it looks so modern and bright because I use quite a few mods and texture replacements to upgrade the graphics to my liking. I use the maxis match lighting mod by dreadpirate on tumblr! And then I use a program called ReShade while I play sims that lets me raise the brightness and vibrancy of the game to my hearts content so I used that a lot while making this build! :)
