Speedbuild, set-up of a new Morbury Bay household, and gameplay with pet mods, all resulting in more than 50 minutes of coziness? I love it! That was a really cool idea and I was glued to the screen for the whole time. I was really happy to see some of the Asylum Series guest stars get a home! Turns out Daisy was right after all, a walk was indeed in her future. But I was so sad about Forest! I definitely went back to the roach hunting scene to confirm that he was indeed an elder. At least Mips turned up again, I don’t think I could have taken it if two animals had been lost in one episode. I remember being so happy already when treeag released the pet portrait edit over at GoS. Now that I know it inspired this video I’m even more grateful. I’m a big fan of goat’s creations and I downloaded almost all of their elder clothing because Maxis really didn’t give us many elder options. And I have to say those textures fit Mavis and her house very well! Oh and every time you zoomed in on the phone the painting of the blurry cat above it cracked me up so much! I was really happy that the phone was such vital part of the video.

Turns out I saw rockethorse’s amazing upload around the time it was released on my dashboard. At the time though I was fiercely battling pink soup so I only allowed myself to download the guinness crab poster, thinking I could justify it because it would be useful for pubs and bars. I toyed with the idea of getting the hilarious cat painting but couldn’t find a good justification. In the meantime though I have given up and fully embraced the pink soup, I just save a lot more regularly. Seeing how much joy that cat brought me in your video I’ll definitely get it now and just place it in every house that I can. Also, I saw that the title of the original painting is "cat falling off table", I can’t!

I think that in a vanilla game, sims will only ever want to get puppies or kittens. However, episims has a mod that changes the get a puppy want to get a dog, and get a kitten to get a cat.
such a good tip!! after editing i realized i actually had that mod but installed it incorrectly so it didn't actually make the want itself change lol, i definitely need to get it installed right so that running the animal shelter will work better! thank you for watching 😁

This was such a cute and enjoyable video 🥰wow, I've missed your content so much it's insane. This was an adorable idea for an active career. At first I thought you would make it into a home business, but I have to say that your way of playing it was far more organic and realistic than a home busieness would have been. Having had random "shoppers" show up all the time would have removed from the cozy vibe for sure, and the way you instead found people in your hood who made sense to want to come over to adopt, or work, was so satisfying to watch ❤ There were some really cool mods displayed here that I hadn't heard of before, that's really cool. I adore the mod to let cats hunt roaches - it reminds me of how they would hunt mice and fight with gophers in ts1. The pet can get pregnant if running away was also genious, but I feel like 15% chance is far too low. I mean, if a male sim gets alien abducted, it's a 100% chance that he gets pregnant, and I feel like it would be fair for the same thing to happen to the pets 🤔Being abducted/running away in the first place is a low chance, and then it's also about 50% that the sim/pet has the relevant gender. But I'm sure the mod can be tweaked! I don't often have my pets run away either, but it happened recently out of nowhere in a household where a tree was hit by lightning and caught fire. The cat (also collarless) got frightened by the fire and ran away, and it took me like a whole sim week to get her back 😅So I definitely felt your pain when Mips wouldn't return at first. As always I loved your commentary throughout the video, the way you edited it - combining a speed build with game play/mod testing is such a great concept, you do it really well ❤Also, I love those little moments when you are in the middle of explaining something and get distracted for a split second, it's super adorable. Like when you went "aww" at the snowglobe suddenly, or when you got at first horrified then super excited that the trashpile was stinky 🥰 Looking forward to more videos! Thank you for sharing this one too, I feel inspired after watching it ✨

Turned out so wholesome🥰 I'd recommend using a larger households mod and also the uintProp maxTotalSims X & uintProp maxTotalPets X cheats in your user startup so you can have more pets in the household! (this is the 2nd time I'm writing this comment because I stupidly put the . and cheat all as one word in the filename so it got deleted thinking it was a link ugh) Some other mods I'd recommend are Pick N Mix's No Bad Photos, and Epi's Kitten and Puppy want replaces so they're just cat and dog since those wants don't otherwise exist, but the puppy OR kitten one still will ☺

Mips looks like a wolf so maybe that's why she's so eager to fight. Thanks for showing the mods! I definitely want the hunting bugs one. I accidentally created a lot of mean townies in my custom hood and they constantly knock over trash cans lol. So my kitties getting rid of them will be useful.

omg kayleigh thank you for reminding me, that makes sense!! because as I was playing when he bought a cat it fulfilled the "buy kitten" want but then re-rolled to "buy a kitten" immediately and i thought it was a weird glitch and edited that part out. But now i remember I downloaded epi's mod and I must have not remembered to set up the want file edit correctly so i still have the normal kitten/puppy wants but apparently buying a normal cat/dog fulfills them now 💀 curse my sloppy mod management!! lolol thanks for reminding me so I can get the epi mod installed correctly in my folder!!

Hi! I created a pet shelter too in my game, it is really chaotic and fun at the same time. But something i notice is that when my sim sells a pet to a townie the townie pays and goes with the new pet but after some days the pet comes back to the shelter, like it seems that the pet becomes stray again. It only happened to me with townies 😕
