Thanks! I did closed cell insulation on the ceiling and walls and then installed 1/2" birch cabinet plywood with 2 coats of Helmsman spar urethane for the paneling. It really makes the shop feel like more than a regular metal building.
lol! I did not buy that one. I think I've got one from another tool haul. It's an early ratcheting driver as far as I recall. I didn't know it was from the 1970's. Wow!

It depends on how often the solution has been used but overnight usually does it. You can leave it in the solution for days with no ill effects. Evaporust will damage paint though. Naval Jelly will work quicker but you'll need to brush it on.
@ thanks. I found my old 1980s Craftsman 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 like 100 piece car kit. This road in my trunk for years and was used a LOT. Some pieces are okay, some have a little rust, a few have a lot. There were some Channel Locks and a few others. Basically a plastic shoe box, not quite full. I want to clean them up and put them in a Craftsman three drawer in my home shop, just for nostalgia. Tools that used back in the day.
Cool finds and if you sold the few name brands (not that you should) and pay for the haul. Honestly, you could sell your discards first enough to pay for these.
A great haul from the estate sale. Thanks for sharing. 💯👍
Thanks for watching. It turned out to be a good sale.
Beautiful walls inside your shop. And those tool cabinets on the wall. Nice tool haul.

This video provides us with an excellent overview of the state of estate sales in Florida.
I don't know if that's good or bad. 😂
@@floridarusticrepairs Well, there is something a little ghoulish about estate sales. 😉
@@rightlanehog3151 There is for sure. That being said, at it's base it's recycling.
FINALLY Mugsy at the end for the win! Another great video
He's usually around unless he finds something better to do. :)
OMG The red and yellow screwdriver straight from the 70s. Dad had 1.

The box of 6 replacement cords 19:05 pave the way for the revival of 6 vintage power tools. 👍
Absolutely! I used one just yesterday when I was restoring the Black and Decker polisher I got from an estate sale.
@@floridarusticrepairs Now that's what I'm talkin' about!! 😄

@@fernandojosereyesmartinez Hola y gracias a un fan en venezuela
Enjoyed the video.
I'm looking forward to the toolbox restore.
Have a Jesus filled day everyone
Greg in Michigan
Thanks, Greg! God bless.
I have the same craftsman box that my grandfather used. It's on my list of things to do to restore.
What paint color will you be using? These were a different grey than the 1960's boxes. More of a dark bronze, I think.
Nice haul! The craftsman toolbox looks like a Kennedy. I wonder if they made it for Craftsman?
Thanks! I think Kennedy did make for Craftsman. They look identical except for badging.
That soldering gun looks like the one my father had
I haven't tested that yet. I wonder if replacement tips are available.
Question, how long do you leave tools with moderate rust in evaporust? I have a batch I need to do.

Definitely restore that machinists chest. I got a Kennedy new in the 70s. My brother has it now.
Yes. I just need to figure out a close paint match. I'm thinking a dark bronze hammered.
I had label makers like that!
Yes! My father went overboard with his harvest gold version of it back in the 1970's.

I think the cart was likely the most valuable thing in this haul and I gave it away to Tyron. :)
