Aww so glad you are here ❤️🫶 thank you for leaving a comment and glad it was helpful! I love watching these types of videos and finding new curriculums! The language curriculum has free trials on their website (linked in the description)and the Bible Curriculum is linked on my Amazon Storefront (linked in the description). If you have any questions... just let me know 💕
My fifth grader is reading The Wild Robot. He loves it. We used motion & machines this year & it was one of my favs. Excited to look into the languages curriculum!
I’m really interested in the Bible curriculum. I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for sharing! For history, we do Story of the World & I bought the audio for it which has worked out great. My 5 yr old will listen to it along with her older brother. They both color the coloring page that goes along with that chapter, while listening to it. Then I just do the map & questions with my son who is 9. I’ll save that for my daughter when she’s a bit older. She enjoys coloring the pages though & she is hearing some of the history so it might be easier for her to pick up when she’s a bit older. But we can do the activities together as a family & they have several to choose from. I just pick what is easiest for us at the time that they would also have the most interest in. They even include recipes for some of the chapters for that time period etc. It has really worked out well for us & the kids enjoy it.
It's funny actually... because I have my TH-cam channel I connected with 2 moms and we became online friends... and decided to try it out... and it's been over a year and half of us our kids connecting through being pen pals and it's been so fun!
We are in the states, my boys are 4 and 7. This year, we’ve spent time learning about our states. Nothing in depth but just to get them familiar with them and finding them on the map. And then we pull in different history stuff for holidays- or we just did a baseball unit because baseball started for us. It has been so much fun!
We got the Bible Curriculum... thanks for linking it in the description :) we tried Gather Round but it just wasn't a good fit for us. Have a great weekend Gina! ❤
Love your picks. Glad you're using Wild Robot as read aloud. I bought the 2nd one and my kids are asking when we are going to read it, but we are currently in the Secret Explorers.
I would love to know what you choose in the future for Canadian history! It’s so hard to find. We are currently using a book from scholastics but there are parts I will leave out in it to teach but so far so good. I may consider gather round for history in the following year.
My last curriculum picks video... the 2023 to 2024 picks we had a couple of Canadian history picks which we are still using this school year :) I'll talk more about it on my end of year review video :)
I was looking at that Bible curriculum. I decided to go with something else for this year. I’d be curious to know more and how you do it within your homeschool 😊
They usually have a black Friday Sale... so once a year, maybe? But if they ever have a sale, I'll post about it for sure! On their website, they have a 4 lesson free trial of any of their languages. I totally get it... it took me a year to actually purchase it! Lol
@@lifewithginab thank you! And yes! I know it’s easiest to learn a new language when you’re young so I really want to do it! I just not sure how we’d fit it I to our schedule and I’d hate to buy it and let it just sit around!
Gina, I recieved an eamil from Homeschool lang, They said, it was the duty charges that was hitting some of the canadian families. They did say if I wanted to box set, I could email them personally and they would send it, but they could not garrentee that we wouldnt get hit with duty fees. So, Im sure this will be the case for anyone eles who would preferr the box set. The downloand is great, but sometimes, i just would rather not download, if that makes sense
We are really enjoying MasterBooks history and we love it so far! I think it is written better than Mystery of History, which we found was boring and we dragged through it.
Not sure if you do US History along with Canada (Im sorry if this isnt helpful:/ ) but Tuttletwins has a great book set about how economy works etc....we loved their book about what all is needed just to make a pencil, I even learned from these books! ....their American History book is more like a read aloud following twins as they learn about important historical events and that could be great while waiting on TGATB.....just a thought :)
You know, I've always wanted to try out the Tuttle twins! I had a bunch of things added to my cart, but the shipping was the cost of what was in my cart, plus there would be customs added, which would also be the price of my cart... I probably wouldn't do US history, but I know they have so many books. I've been on the lookout for used books that maybe a mom was selling online, but no such luck! Thanks for the suggestion... I'm hoping if I ever cross the border I would place an order! 🙂 everything is just so much more expensive for us here in Canada :(
Curious how the product links you have listed work: I was planning to order stuff from TGTB, possibly the Homeschool Languages etc...if I use your link does that benefit you? Figured if I'm buying anyways and give someone some perks why not :D
Some are affiliate links and others aren't. Some give me a couple of cents or dollars and it's a way of supporting my channel and no extra cost to you. Thank you so much for your support ❤️🫶🙏
Question about the languages. What does it focus on? My mom is French and i grew up speaking it and hearing it all the time. I'm not sure how to teach my kids and husband French though. Does it focus on grammar? Is it more conversational? Little sentences? Thanks! I'm not sure what to do for history either. I love history. But i love learning through books and historical fiction. I have lots of them. Here in the states those books are called Dear America. I also have American Girl books. Lots of the Who Was or What Was books. And many books about presidents, how our country came to be, pilgrims, pioneers, etc. I just want to do my own thing with my kids and teach them from books with some printables. I'm just not sure how to go about doing it because there is SO much out there. We tried The Mystery of History curriculum. I enjoyed it, but always gave the disclaimer beforehand that her views arent necessarily accurate. We're Christian, but there are SO many different views on how everything came to be in this world.
Thanks for sharing ❤️ Homeschool languages is more conversational... and I believe it will get more advanced as they come out with more levels. You can try the first 4 lessons for free on their website! I'll link it here: www.homeschoollanguages.com/?ref=lifewithginab
Aww yeah I mentioned in the video that it's only available in the US now. When I purchased it last year (in the summer) the physical box was available... if they change it I will post it here and let you all know!
My son is 10 and really enjoys it. They have free lessons online! So you can take a look at the lessons and decide :) ... here's the link: www.homeschoollanguages.com/?ref=lifewithginab
I feel the same way about history! My youngest learns through osmosis lol she plays while I read with my oldest about history topics. She surprised me sometimes by chiming in with info! I love that!!
Hey 👋, I've been MIA from social media for a hot minute and just noticed you're no longer in the RV 🚐 . A while ago and I've been on a wild goose chase trying to find the video where you spill the beans 🤔. If it's out there, please point me in the right direction! If not, no worries, it's all good - your business, not mine 😄💼. Keep doing your thing! 🌟 ❤
Hi Daniela! Thanks for stopping by! And no worries! I'll link the video below... I talk about it in the video... but we got robbed while visiting family in the city. We will be back in our RV in a couple of weeks!
I'm so glad I found your channel! I have never heard of this Bible curriculum or the foreign language boxes! They look amazing, thank you!

Aww thank you! I'm excited to start the Bible Curriculum! We are starting it next week. The kids are so excited!
LOVING all of your new updates and posts...... 🤗💕 Gina got a Q for you..... how did you go about finding "pen pals" for your children?
I was going to ask this same thing!!

I just decided yesterday to read the Wild Robot Series to my kids over summer. I’ve heard such good things about the series!
We are in the states, my boys are 4 and 7. This year, we’ve spent time learning about our states. Nothing in depth but just to get them familiar with them and finding them on the map. I'd love to see a bible video!!
Does Homeschool languages ever run sales? I want them so bad but I'm scared to invest that much haha
