I've heard "metallic acrylic" and went "oooh nooo". I never know what to do with anything metallic, I always end up doing a night sky with silvery colors.
I kinda like golden paint. I like them for acrylic pours and sometimes accents or one coloured backgrounds....like as flat spaces contrasting with more realistically rendererd elements. Also sonmetimes putting a little bit in when I paint brighter eye colours.
It's so weird that we talk about joy and innocence like it's something only children can have. Loved hearing you talk about your husband, I can't get enough of people talking about the things they love.
Your relationship sounds so precious and full of love. I can hear the love and joy in your voice and just the way you talk and it's not often that I get to hear about such a deep love and it just kinda made my day and I'm just all happy for you now.
The fact that you've been in a relationship this long, and speak with so much love, while describing something that sounds quite similar to my relationship with my boyfriend makes me very hopeful for the future

My brother’s medium is acrylic, but I just can’t gel with it! I occasionally use metallic paints though for some little effects. Not often, but it does happen when I’m in the mood.
I love love LOVE this! My wife and I get silly and laugh like kids all the time. We enjoy each others personalities so much and i don't think i could ask for more. She's wonderful. I'm glad you and your husband stay young and playful at heart. Absolutly nothing wrong with that at all.

okay, so metallic paints, aren't for photographs, they're for walking by. You don't use them everywhere on everything. Just color block with them bean. It's neat to have an outline in gold. or use them as actual makeup in a more exotic character. It's worth the flatness. but yeah, I guess I only tried it with a very gold craft paint on a canvas, so maybe it's not the same.
Watercolor artist over here! I only use acyrlic paints for final, small details. But painting with only acrylics or metallic paints!! Very challenging!
I love how you titled this!! I often see TH-cam artists use self depricating titles about art supplies and it is always so off-putting! But when you add this positive element to help you see a new perspective, it was refreshing and super sweet! Love how it turned out as well, and trust me, not a huge fan of the metallics either 😊😊

i personally LOVE metallic paints for backgrounds and such. but i agree, it makes paintings look flat when used on metallic stuff, and for me, it looks better when people recreate that texture with regular paint. metallic acrylic paint seems specially difficult, too lol great video and great piece!

I have used acrylic paints for silk screening instead of the printers inks less toxic and easier cleanup too! The metallic paints come into use there more often than I have ever used in a painting on canvas. Good video and a good review I do wonder about the longevity of the paper with the acrylic or even oil paints? Is it just for temporary studies? Is it for a finished work? Thanks for giving us a good video.
Hi I have a question, when painting portraits I have noticed that if the artist used gouache or achilic avoid sketching over the paper with pencils before painting (which is the opposite case when using watercolors) is there a reason for that? And also, should we use flat brushes instead of rounded when creating portraits? I love your work, hope you can guide me a little :)

It might be great to use on wooden toys, or sculpting.
