Fun fact : in the Manga, Akainu was never afraid of Whitebeard and whitebeard attacked right away behind akainu and then akainu got up and melted 1/4 of his head, the Anime did akainu really dirty here
He was not afraid but he was deceiving squard to attack whitebeard..he struck a 80 year old man with cancer while he was struggling with his health..on a normal basis again is getting washed
Akainu is my favorite villain but I liked how they showed him afraid here sent chills down my spine. He bullying everyone in marineford until the one guy that stands a chance snook up behind him..
@@johnpaul7305 he cant but due to his devil fruit, he can touch him. Its the tremor fruit after all which is vibrations which allows him to damage logia and even paramecia logia devil fruits. Logias can still be affected by energy attacks you know or there elemental weaknesses like luffy and water to enel and crocodile respectively.

Of course Akainu is stronger than Old Whitebeard here... but I'd say if Whitebeard wasn't sick and injured Akainu and Whitebeard would at least be roughly equal. Just the fact that Whitebeard had two holes in his chest, had heart attacks, and half his face was blown off and Akainu was still injured at least a good bit from Whitebeard's attacks proves my point. Imagine WB was healthy.. not even in his prime, just that would have been enough. Any other Yonko at that time would have done the same to him if they had the same circumstances. Dunno about Big Mom tho, but Kaido and Shanks are equal to WB imo.
Kaido and Shanks are much stronger than this version WB who can’t even use ACOC. This version of WB was a shadow of his former self. His “world’s strongest man” title was acquired over 20 years ago. He’s not that same man. Big Mom, Shanks, and Kaido stay clear of him in terms of strength. Now WB in his PRIME!!! was definitely up there with Roger.

Akainu has a Logia fruit. You literally can't do any damage to him unless you know how to use haki. And even then the damage would be minimal because his body is made of literal lava.
