After attending the summit, I went out and got some frozen raw meaty bones. I don't want the bones all over my house, so I put my dogs in crates to "enjoy them." They are not used to being in crates, so they cried and cried (with the bones in their mouths). So I moved them over to pens with the crate liners underneath. One dog, the older one (9 yr old Chi mix), accepted that arrangement and got to work chewing on her bone. She's an angel. The younger one (1.75 yr old Pom mix), could not handle being confined and kept throwing his bone off the edge of the crate liner onto the little hardwood exposed along the perimeter of his pen and looking at me as if that was a valid reason for me to let him out to chew his bone wherever he pleases. Long story short, I'm not sure how to give them these bones in a way that's not going to spread raw meat juice all over our wooden floor, rugs, beds, and furniture (they are allowed on everything and the other chews I offer them are not as juicy -- or raw-- so this issue hasn't come up before, in fact I realize I've been avoiding raw bones for this exact reason). Tips anyone??? I guess the tiled bathroom is an option as he might be okay (emotionally) in there if I'm in the shower and I can clean the floor afterwards. Ugh. Just trying to do the right thing over here and the little bastard is throwing me a curveball.
Is there any whole raw foods that would help a neutered dog to put some hormones back into his body?I watched an excellent video on dogs on testosterone and it actually healed injuries that have plagued them even if they were neutered for 4 years! Obviously, it is still new and i wish vets would have the knowledge on this AS I would let them put mine on it. I was wondering if you feed testicle would that be able to get hormones.?
Barbara Royal… I have a GSD puppy. I feed three times a day as I was told to by most things I read. She will be six months old next month. How can I go from three to one feeding when we feed 2.2 lbs a day. Won’t that cause too much in the stomach at one time?
I was also wondering if this "feed once a day" guideline for longevity applies to young pups. I seriously doubt it but would be interested in any related info anyone might find.
My vet and I have the same breed of dogs both 13 yo. Mine has been raw fed all her life, is not over weight, has good muscle tone and still has a good amount of pep in her step. My vets dog has been kibble fed, is overweight, bloated and has diabetes, sad😢
The hosts keep talking about how we must push back and educate our vets, but my gut reaction is to run around far and wide looking for a vet who actually knows more than I do about healthy feeding. I'm not crazy am I?
For The French bulldog that wont eat He just doesn't know what to do with it because he's been eating kibble for so long! He is probably suffering from bad gut health and the raw food will help heal them. Lightly brown the outside to make it more appealing, and in a few days, he will be eating a raw by slowly cooking it less. It might be easier to get the gut healing in no time.❤❤ to the bull dog .... I hope that helps!
I just did that to a couple of veterinarians complaining about Why We complain about our bills and how much the Veterinary Care actually cost exclamation point! I said stop promoting garbage kibble food for the love of God every animal needs to eat an appropriate whole food diet in order to be healthy exclamation point
Hit the R.O.A.D = Random Once A Day feeding!!

@@pups4palestine I don't bother with vets when it comes to feeding my dogs. There are other sources of education.

Miami raw has some furry things Dr. Judy!
My dog is impossible to feed. I buy the best food and he won't eat it. I have had this problem with him for 10 years now, so frustrating

Can you give raw eggs to your dog?
I give my dogs raw egg with the shell for calcium.
