Great review! Thanks so much for doing this! You have helped out a lot of people thinking about getting one of the these mini diggers. I just ordered a 1.8t unit with a Kubota motor. It too has the joystick controls and I was glad to hear you say the control is a bit smoother and not so jerky. Thanks again.
Very good video. Honest assessment of the capabilities and the need to have a DIY approach for support. I bought one a little while ago and went through the somewhat confusing process of importing it through Alibaba. Customs fees and freight was a little expensive, having it shipped from Tacoma WA to southern OR. But not too bad, once you go through the process once. I got a 1.5 Ton CX-15B with a Yanmar 13HP diesel engine from a manufacturer in Ningbo, China. Still getting used to the somewhat jerky pilot controls. Slowing down the throttle does help, as 99projects mentioned. Also, I'm trying to find the correct hydraulic fittings to fit a flow restrictor to slow down the auxiliary foot-pedal function that controls the tilt bucket and grapple. But a very capable machine. Just keep in mind... it is, as you said, a DIY machine.
Based on your video, you stated right in the video you were using it to clear brush. Being an excavator i am curious about the dig depth of this em15 unit. Looks very similar to the FF15 im buying but find dig depth specs is hard to find
So basically a quick nip down to Harbor Freight or Princess Auto (Canada) for parts if they break. Good to hear it has a brand engine I see around. We've got a half dozen of the skidsteer sibling in a local auction I'm debating bidding on.
Just got one myself. Crazy they are going for close to the others when they are obviously more expensive/capable machine. Doing a little homework pays off! I'm wondering how many hours you have so far and if you've verified the weight?
I really was trying to get one of these at an auction, the winning bidder bought all 4 of them though. I got a chery kv12 instead. With a few attachments. I'm happy. I still like this em15
It does fairly well at two functions at once. It is a little jerky when turning for sure. I'm about to add some more ballast weight on the back of the one that is on my machine. I'll definitely post a video when I do that
@@markusr1308 nice! I'm very close to a Jeff martin auction house. They had one last week I couldn't make it. A few of these smaller 1 ton machines went for under 4k out the door. Can't beat it
I saw a couple other videos where you can spend ~$250 on ebay and get the hydraulic thumb for these machines. Does this machine have a lever/button for the auxiliary valve on your stick?
I hate to bother you but could you please send me a link to the hydraulic thumb that you have on your em15 mini excavator? I have looked everywhere and have been unable to confirm that the ones available till fit my em15. I can send pics if necessary.
Magnetic oil drain plug and ideally powerful neodymium magnets on the oil pan, even if they are mounted externally they'll still work That will catch a whole lot of metallic crap pumping through your system. If you could install an inline oil filter that would be cool. The magnets obviously arent gonna catch aluminum, but all that steel grinding every time it cycles through, it will catch a lot of that.
It's like some sort of Comedy Capers movie from the twenties with it sped up like that. How is anyone supposed to see how smoothly, accurately and effectively the thing works if you don't show it at real speed?
Awesome video! I have a similar machine but I put a tree sheer on mine. There’s a video uploaded to my TH-cam page if you wanna check it out! Crazy how productive these things can Be
You guys need to stop worrying about what other guys think if it gets the job done buy you live to please your life style or walk around in debt and be unhappy and guys you worrying about with high machine can't pay their bills
Solid assessment. Off the shelf parts, friggin briggs motor, hoses, grease joints, lifts more than i can. I see no downside
Run your throttle at like 2/3rds throttle, it still has plenty of power but the operation is alot smoother
Your vids on this machine are good bro
Keep it up!
I have noticed that on my machine too.

Nice review. I just purchased an AGT H-15 yesterday at auction. Now to change the fluids and learn how to use it, then put it to work.
Thank you for providing a well thought our assessment!

Thanks, for the price you cant beat the amount of machine you get
I also took the rear door off the engine, it stayed alot cooler on the seat
I have an HT10BZ on order. I appreciate the insights you provided in your video.
Did you get it yet and do you love it?
@@Memnoch451 Yes. I got it, and I LOVE it
@DiggerDaveSea where did you order from?
@@JustinGH595 I bought it direct from Hightop China and imported it

Dig depth on these on one spec showed 5.75 feet. But 5 feet is probably more realistic.

Try lead. My scrap yard had for 75ct /lb and was easy to melt

I got mine at barnone auction in Sacramento, $4200 out the door. They sell a lot of mini excavators.

Thanks for this. What is the track width on this?

Any issues with over heating? I know thats a big issue with the 1 tun machines. Thanks looking to buy same machine.
Thanks for this. What is the track width on this?
Hows the little blade work
Great video. I’m up in the air between one of these and a subcompact. Will this escalator do maintenance on a gravel driveway?
It will but it's going to be way slower than a subcompact just by nature of tracks vs wheels.
Is it possible to put on a hydralic drill/hammer with a rigg on this? Is the hydralic pump able to handle it and plugs for it?
Trying to find the engine oil for this machine where is it
It seems to work just fine
Have you tried putting a hydraulic thumb on your EM15? If so, any watchouts or issues to be aware of?

How the price excavator mini chines in country you...?
you can contact me, I will give you a competitive price.
Excelente trabajo con la pequeña máquina 😮
Can you get actual measurements of the em15 tract width and length compared to the other qh12?
Trying to justify 6500for qh12 versus 10000 for em15.
I would love to buy one where did you get it at about what do they cost
You can contact me. We are excavator manufacturer from China.
How hard is it to find attachments for it ?
they are pretty easy to find. same size as the 1 ton attachments
I can provide attachments according to your requirements.
Would you be so kind to help me see the owners manual for this - I've got the same one, but no manual
What's the width ?
Price please
Contact me, I give you a favorable price.

That super simple but amazingly effective idea. I'm gona do that thank you for the idea
its a B&S so there's no oil pan, just a sump in engine case and I believe they are cast aluminum.
nice looking machine!
thanks i was really happy with it
Does anybody have a link to the manufacturers page?

I'd be careful of the drive motors exposed like that. Otherwise it would be great for a plumber or electrician, especially at that cost

slow down the playback speed
Nah, there's a million excavator reviewers who manage to show how the machines really work, I'll just go watch those.
