Fabulous review. I am sold on the SJ8 Pro and its only £35 more than the Plus version on ebay here in the UK. Its worth the extra money for the stabilisation and 4k 60fps alone. Instant sub

Great video, you've just got a new subscriber. My SJ Cam has just died after a hard life and I hate my Go Pro Hero5 Black, which lost the rear screen after two months and seems to have given up altogether today. I vow never to buy another over priced Go Pro product. Looks like a SJ Cam 8 pro for me.

It is very nice comparison. SJ8 Pro seems clear winner. But one thing i'm curious about does SJ6 Legend deserve to be bought versus SJ8 Pro compare to price ? Do you think there are lot difference between EIS Sj6 and EIS Sj8 ?

Well after watching this video, and another 20 like it, I went out and bought me the SJ8 Pro kit. Boy was that a mistake! The camera that I received has a defective speaker straight from the factory and SJCAM support has basically told me touch luck, and are doing nothing to remedy the issue. I've done everything to correct the problem I can think of - checking all the right buttons in the menus, new quality sd-micro mem card, and using the camera without the waterproof case, and although the volume level is turned up to 10, the maximum, I can barely hear any sound with my ear pressed up against the camera's speaker. The videos that I produced with the camera play just fine on my computer, with solid sound, so I know the units microphones are working. But play the same video on the camera and silence.
So there you have it...1.) SJCAM has an issue with quality control from their factory and, 2.) SJCAM does not care if the camera works or not once it is sold. Buyer beware!

I have now switched to the GoPro Hero 7 Black....My SJCAM SJ8 Pro broke within a couple of months of using it (shut off and wouldn't turn on at all). SJCAM told me to contact the seller which I did who offered to send me a new one...it never arrived. They supposedly sent a second (from Malaysia again) it never arrived again. Then the seller said they would refund me...never happened despite repeated promises. I contacted SJCAM to tell them I wanted to get a replacement and sent them video of the malfunction (like I did to the seller). They erased my help ticket like it never existed...I haven't heard back from them...I'm done with SJCAM...which is sad because I like the SJ7 STAR for cockpit audio when I fly. The only problem I've had with the two SJ7 STAR cameras is that the micro usb port has broken off in both cameras (I superglued a micro usb to usb cable on the second one before it totally broke off so I could keep using it in the plane while charging it at the same time with a USB power supply). The first SJ7 would not record sound after the micro usb port broke (while using the plug in official SJCAM microphone. The GoPro Hero 7 surpasses everything...that's all I'm saying..the only problem is that it's never going to be as cheap as SJCAM. I did all of my video reviewing with the SJ7 and SJ8 but they will be retired soon with GoPro cameras. The hypersmooth technology is what sold me and it is great. I do not have room in the plane to have a gyro.
UPDATE: The second help desk ticket was taken down without answer as well...DO NOT BUY SJCAM....or should we leave the J silent and call it SCAM?

si eres usuario de Lightroom. Para terminar, en la página oficial de
SJCAM puedes encontrar diferentes opciones para la adquisición de la
cámara, pero si lo haces en la opción Standard, la cámara te llegará sin
batería, tal como lo leéis, por comunicación del fabricante, la opción
Standard no incluye batería, o lo que es lo mismo, te obligan a realizar
la compra de una batería de forma independiente o acceder a la compra
de una de las opciones extras en la que te colocarán artículos que no
tienen porqué interesarte. Nada de esto se dice en la tienda oficial del
fabricante, ni lo dice ningún tutorial como este.
I just opened up a new SJ8 Plus cam to go with my SJ-gimble-2. I just returned an SJ4000 because it was not compatible with my new gimble-2. SJCAM does not provide much instruction on how to do the set-up and registration of its product if that matters. You would be doing me and others a great favor if you demonstrated the fundamental set up out of the box from the selection of the data chip to the set up with the cell phone and app. The app I downloaded from SJ does not seem to function with my cell phone or camera. Great intro and explanation of features of the various cameras.

I've been recently very happy with my new thiEYE E7. Especially underwater capabilities are great!
I used the standard color profile and auto whitebalance. It’s a bit too warm. Pro gives the most natural colors
el Producente Yeah but look at how pink/fuchsia your lips are, how blue the glasses and fakish green the grass. They really made a mistake there cause the sharpness looks just fine!
I think they have to fine tune the color settings, but actually I‘m not that happy with details and sharpness (compared to pro and others)
