You’re welcome. And thanks for the nice comment. The fact that they’re adjustable truly is so nice! I used it again this morning and chose it over my “other”, much-more-expensive rope bc the other one has the two knots.
Thank you for another wonderful video! It's great that your videos on jump rope that aren't aimed at beginners but feature content that is interesting and informative for experienced jumpers. It's also refreshing to see experienced jumper who aren't trying to get views for doing fancy tricks. I agree 100% you that knots are yucky - I won't jump with knots. And I've had my husband help me with every single jump rope measuring + shortening project!
Thank you so much for that comment. Not only is it kind, but also helps me because I’ve often wondered if anyone with experience actually sees or benefits from what I post. ❤
This rope is not stiff for me. I have a cross rope in the 1/4 (and 1/2-pounds) and this rope is the same as that 1/4-pound. I can’t tell a difference in the ropes. I can tell that the handles weights are different, but the ropes are the same. At least, mine are.
@@lisadavisbodyconstruction I figured you referred to CrossRopes:) There´s definitely a difference in “Get Fit” vs the green rope from CR, though I still prefer the GetFit to CR. Are your handles heavier or lighter than CR? Actually, the handles look a lot alike, and I kind of like the getFit-handles more. maybe I can order just the rope, no handles:) I´ve always wondered why CR doesn´t make their ropes adjustable. Seems pretty easy.
I have also wondered why crossropes aren’t adjustable. The hererope handle does look very similar, but it is lighter than the crossrope. I can’t tell any difference when I’m using the rope, since the ropes are so similar and the weight feels the same.
Hello and thanks for the question. I do think that there is a huge difference between a weighted rope and a rope with weighted handles. I have owned and used both kinds and find that the weighted rope is much more intense to use. I think it has to do with where the weight is in relation to the origin of the movement. When it's in my hands, it's much easier because the motion begins there, and when it's in the rope, it's much harder because the weight is moving out and away from my body and creates more force, if that makes any sense. (I'm not a scientist, but I am a thinker- haha).
@@peterwright9121 I personally started with a PVC rope because it’s just what I found that worked for me at the time and not knowing anyone who jumped rope. Many people begin with a beaded rope and love those because they move a little slower through the air and folks think they’re more responsive for learning. I never really felt that way, but I like to go fast and beaded ropes are slow-PVC is fast. Since I’ve been a serious runner prior to learning jump rope, maybe that’s why. I love supplementing my workout with weighted ropes like these on the video, but for starting out, I wouldn’t use them. I have links for the PVC ropes I always like, if you’re interested. @@djtruedomination I find them quite similar. I do think the Crossrope is a higher quality, but not length-adjustable, so I have to tie knots in the Crossrope. Also, the much-higher cost of the Crossrope is a factor. As for usage, I don’t see much difference at all. They feel the same.
@ I’m thinking about getting it. But I have been trying other high quality ropes since the Hererope and Crossropes are so similar, but I’m still interested in the crossrope. And being that you can’t adjust the rope bothers me. I can go by the height chart but it doesn’t factor in I’m built like a running back so I’m wider. People never discuss that factor with rope sizing.
@ true! I also bought my crossropes by the size chart and it was too long. Same with the hereropes, but at least I could adjust those and it was good to be able to show.
Love the fact that the ones with the swivel handles are also adjustable. Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the review. It's a little bit hard to cut off this coated cable since it is so durable. The normal wire cutter (not sisor) will help a lot
I think that makes it a better rope, so I was glad it didn’t cut with the scissors.
I have the former jump rope, the get fit. I like it, except the rope seems a bit stiff. I´m wondering how this version feels?

To me the rope is a bit stiff for fast crosses. Maybe I need to keep breaking it in. I do like the speed and weight for double unders.
Is there a deference between a rope with weighted handles and a weighted rope?
