I have all three colours and I made the love notions Sunday romper short version for a recent holiday to Italy . I wore each one and felt amazing in them so cool for the soaring temperatures. Happy sewing ladies. Xx

Fun challenge. I made the Kielo Wrap Dress from a Lady McElroy viscose jersey in a gorgeous Indian elephant print with a navy background called India's Sacred. The elephants are all decked out in brightly coloured gorgeous hardiness as only India can do. I love it so much. It turned out great. I made the sleeveless long dress version because then I could wear it year round, sleeveless in the summer and over a roll neck sweater in the cooler months. It does say in the pattern that you shouldn't use a fabric with too much stretch because it won't hold its shape, so I was worried about using viscose jersey but mine was ok. I put interfacing in the ties which helped a lot. It does pull down because viscose jersey deceivingly weighs a lot, but it worked on me since I'm almost 5'10", so that's something to take into consideration when making it. I'm short waisted for my height, but age and gravity lowered my apex line, so I lengthened the pattern by an inch just between high and full bust and that was the only change I made, but because of how much viscose jersey stretches downward naturally, it reaches my ankles.

That fabric reminds me of swimming in the Caribbean! I can't decide which colourway I like best. I think if I were going to make something from that fabric I would make a maxi skirt. There would be so many colour choices for matching tops.

I made an Estelle yesterday. It also has some big funky pieces. I love the Kielo but find that I get warm around the waist with so much fabric, the Estelle has a similar look without the extra fabric.

Oh Rachel I love my SOI Estelle dress but you are right that the long sleeves do restrict the amount of time you can wear it. I too have a tummy problem but feel the ties do a lot to cover it, can’t wait to see yours.

Stunning fabrics! Can't wait to see your makes. I don't use viscose jersey very often due to the clinginess, but I love to use it for the Maven patterns Somerset top. I also use viscose jersey for things like vest tops and body suits, as they are tight fitting anyway - if that makes sense.

Love viscose jersey. I have 2 Kielos in it! I hang it to dry over my banister upstairs very evenly otherwise it can get out of shape. Hope to join you making something in this too. Can't decide between the blue or the green! X

Hi NSSs. Those three colorways look great together. I imagine combining some of each one into your chosen patterns, with the front out of the colorway you picked and parts of the back being the other colorways (which would partially wrap around to the front in two of the three dresses). They'd all be different but wonderfully coordinated -- the three of you would knock the socks off everyone in the room if you entered together. What a fun project! ~ Antonia

Nice! Each of you selected patterns that will suit you all well! The fabric is gorgeous. I giggled when you were all deciding which way the fabric pattern should go, that was very cute. I like the Mirri wrap dress, I’m just finishing my first and I think it’s now a favorite of mine for knits! It would look great in your fabric. Take care all!

I love my estelle, its so comfy and stylish at the same time. I need to work on the kielo, when I wrap it I get flappy bits I think I need to shorten the bodice part like Adele did. Looking forward to seeing all your makes 😊

Looking forward to seeing the results. Have been looking at the Estelle and the Kielo and wondering which to make. The Kielo is tempting as it has the jumpsuit option but not sure about the length of the dress and the amount of wrapping round the middle. The Estelle looks an easier make. . . Can you see why I haven’t made my mind up? Over to you! The fabric is fab!
