I have dressmade for a long time then stopped and have been quilting. Recently I started back into dressmaking and this fabric is the one I first chose, in Ruans colour. I absolutely love it. All three of your blouses look lovely.

As a relatively new sewer, I made this blouse a few months ago. Thank you Rachael for explaining the confusion about the pattern using the term bias, and then calling it a neckband part way through. This totally floored me at the time of making, because I was wondering had a missed a piece of the pattern. Although I like the blouse, what I don’t like is the flounce part falling lower than the bottom hem, which means to me that I will only wear it tucked in.

All your makes are great. Love the shoulder darts and options at neck. Totally agree with Rachel about “terms being consistent with what end users are used to. Also agree with Tamlyn re typos- they drive me mad. Patterns are not cheap and should be accurate. Rant over 😂😂😂. At least with this pattern you get video instructions too which adds to the value.

Thanks for your honest reviews! Think the beautiful fabric was the hero of this box for me. Personally dont like seeing wrong side of fabric, so would use one where wrong side not obviously different. Get a bit of a red flag if theres are typos in a pattern instruction too! 😊

Thank you ladies I’m really pleased that this pattern surprised you all ❤ huge apologies about the neckline but I’m pleased you worked though it.
Can I just add the construction marks is the industry standard it includes all marks and not just notches but I do take your point that you might just prefer the term notches.
Tamlyn- if only you tested all my earlier patterns 😂 o have a real issue with the written word and I do rely on testers but I guess it depends on the quality of the tester…not a patch on you ❤❤

I don't know what I did but part 1 just popped up. If I was going to leave the blouse open I d make a facing so you couldn't see the wrong side of the fabric. I am not sure because of the design whether its possible but I'd love to know.
My personal choice would be the half tuck that Rachel demonstrated in her video segment. I'm just not a fan of the current over-sized trend. On all of the blouses you could see the reverse, whiter side of the fabric, whether the front frill was fastened or left loose. That would be to do with fabric choice, I suppose, but if I were making it, I'd prefer a fabric that was the same on both sides.
Yes the half tuck is a great look 😊
Funny because I don’t like the way a half tuck looks on me. It makes me feel like a child whose blouse has come out of the back making me look dishevelled. However, Rachel totally rocks it 😊
That is beautiful!!! I am very tempted to sign up but is a bit expensive for jut before Christmas. Can I ask how the seams are finished on the inside, would I need an overlocker? Thank you ❤
Thank you 😊. I think all 3 of used an overlocker but you wouldn’t have to. You could do the overlooking stitch on a standard sewing machine 👍🏼

I love that the blouse is just a little different with having the flounce at the front but unfortunately I don’t like seeing the white of the reverse side of the fabric. Did Rachel do a slight adjustment to her blouse before showing hers on Instagram? Like that much better 😊
No I think it may be the colour choice, the inside looks very similar to the outside on Rachel’s x
