Bro Keith sweat went to ATL in the early 90's like settlers did going west in the 1800es looking for gold.straight raw talent

That’s back when you had to really know how to sing to get a record deal

This was Silk's first album, released in 1992. The 90's produced the greatest R&B talent, no debate allowed there. I was a teenager then, we had no cell phones, no home computers & minimal technology. Life was actually healthier & we actually had to approach girls in person. Due to this, you couldn't afford to be socially awkward, we had to work on our game. Girls were naturally attractive, no BBL'S, fake nails, fake eye lashes, ridiculous hair colors etc. R&B was so powerful in the 90's & the live concerts were organic, no lip singing. I would love to witness R&B music rewind back to old school, traditional singers without this collabo BS. Over 30 years later, Silk is still making a living singing.

They literally picked a group of 5 lead singers and presented them to the world. Ridiculous how tight their harmonies were. Lil G or John John could literally call in sick and the group wouldn’t miss a beat with Big G, Timzo, and Jimmy still being there.

So sad that alot of people couldn't recognise Lil G's gift. As a result he's underrated.

SILK IS BOMB! Gary has always been super talented since he was a little boy singing in at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, Rev.-Dr. James D. Cooke, Sr , pastor. Musically directed by Gary Jones Minister of Music. Great instrumentalist as well!!
