    Looks fantastic, one quick question, why did you need to use the angle grinder a couple of times ?

      Great observation, the extensi was out of square to the house and the brick coins of the main structure was all over the place so I at to just take the end s off between where two of the slabs meet up by 1.5 mm approx over .600mm to maintain a 4mm joint.

      Hi Johnnyboy, are you now using the semi dry methord for any reason in particular or is it simply because your awaiting your new mixer? How are you finding it compared to your normal mix. As being in the trade we get so ingrained in our working methordd we never changed them until we are forced and we then find it quicker or easily straight away. I guess never be scared to try different ways as no matter how long you have been in the trade there is many ways to do the same thing. Love all you do 😀👍👍👍

    I’m confused, usually you lay porcelain on a wet bed but this is on a dry bed, why the change ?

    Hi jonny.luv ur work.professionals are just that for a reason.so watching this job im assuming that if its just for pedestrian traffic a dry screed mix is ample to lay the slabs on especially if they are a decent thickness.is 4 to 1 a reasonable ratio.thanks.

    Looking great johnboy been a bit apprehensive about taking porcelain jobs on cos off the cuts cos seen boys using sthil saws n cuts look rough, would love a rubi like urs but too expensive just now . If you've time next week need advice on matching in and joining astrograss regarding how u join 2 pieces together without it looking rough. Cheers pal👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Hi Jonny
    Having to stop cowboy builders in my garden I’m now faced with the prospect of completing the project myself as all good contractors are so busy, can you advise - when setting the fall of the patio what minimum depth of mortar should I aim for, ( at the thin edge of the wedge) above the sub base? I’m laying 20mm porcelain.
    Thank you

    • @GreentopLandscapes
      @GreentopLandscapes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, when mixing a screed in a a mixer you can get segregation thats cement seperation from the sand so buy hand ensures its perfect unless you buy a paddle mixer which will ensure this does not happen.
