I got a score of 8, 8.5, 8, writing 6.5, I needed an average of 7 in all components and was in a rush to get my results back asap due to me needing to apply for a professional license. However, I was told that remarking takes 3 weeks while results after sitting a test only less than 5 days. So i had to sit another exam. Its so obvious that ielts is a money making scheme :(

Hello everyone here’s my eor story ( I applied eor only in one module (writing))
( my exam was on 1st July ) applied for eor on 17th , my eor process started on 19th (I got a message that my process has started) I received my result on 18th august. I got to know about my result via trf. Generally they email you or message you about scores but in my case i received new trf.
If you have applied or eor / or planning to apply , just be positive 🙂
My overall bandscore is 6.5
I got in listening 7.5
Reading 6
Speaking 6.5
Writing 5.5
My exam was on 11th sept 2021
My result declared on 24th september on the same day i fill eor for writing module

I got my score increased from 6.5 to 7 in writing after a remark. Writing this to encourage anyone out there to go for it if you are sure about what you wrote during the exam. Good luck. It took me a total of 5 weeks.

I’m so sorry. But please, no. You will end up wasting your money. Just rewrite the test. Listening is objective. Practice more and rewrite the test. I wish you all the best in future tests. Take care. You can message me if you need any help.
How did you get to know that your result has changed? I have also applied for eor 25 days back and today when i checked my previous ielts result on student portal i noted a 0.5 increase in my band...but they havn't sent a mail or message regarding this change..i dont know what to do further...kindly help me..😥

Is it advisable to apply for EOR?
I revaluated my results I was successful in 2015 my speaking test my score went up from 3.5 to 4.5 (I have a stuttering condition) and again in 2020 I revaluated my writing and reading, no change my score (I got 7.5 for speaking that test)

I got a 6.5 in speaking and I sent it back for EOR because I noticed that the examiner didn't pay full attention to me during the interview. Guess what? My score increased to 7.5!

I took my General exam on 21 April 2023. Got my results on 25 April 2023. Speaking 8 Listening 8.5 Reading 7.5 but Writing 6.5
Applied for EOR on 27 April 2023 to reevaluate my writing section.
2 May 2023, i got my money refunded with an email saying that the score improved from 6.5 to 7😊
If you have scored higher marks in the other sections, i would definitely recommend anyone to apply for EOR in writing to get that .5 mark!! Don't hesitate

I requested a re-mark for my writing and my score changed from 6 to 6.5. All I needed was that 0.5 to get the minimum required band. I had 7.5 in all other skills so a 6 in writing was not convincing for me especially considering I followed the criteria and structure advised on E2. So I took a chance on EOR and it paid off!

If anyone is here for Ielts Eor this is for you i have given Ielts on 2021 already and have achieved 6.5 bands no less than 6 and inorder for visa filing i've given my Ielts 2 weeks before and recieved 5.5 in writing while everyone around me requested for Ielts retake i myself had bit of self confidence and have requested for Eor cause i was sure that my writing was worth for 6 band as i saw some E2 strategies a day before my exam and today i recieved my Eor result 5.5 writing changed to 6.5 and speaking 6.5 changed to 7 and overall band is 7 Thanks for E2 videos keep inspiring and hope someone finds this useful Never Lose hope👍
I got a 9 in reading, 8.5 in listening, 6.5 in writing. I am sending it back because I know what I've written and there is no way it was 6.5 worthy.

If you feel like you deserved a better score you should definitely go for a remark , I cannot stress this enough! Examiners are human and can make mistakes. I got a 6.5 in speaking and didn’t understand how that would even be possible, I applied for an EOR and my score increased to 7.5 .

I am a Dr who needed an overall band of 7.5 with a minimum of 7 in all modules. I took the exam and got this:
L 8.5
R 7.5
S 7.5
W 6.5
Overall band 7.5
I was really convinced that my essays merit at least band 7 so I applied for a remark.
My new scores now:
L 8.5
S 7.5
R 7.5
W 7
Overall band 7.5
So, if you find yourself in need of extra 0.5 in 1 module, try the EOR. It's cheaper for a remark in Speaking and Writing than to take this whole stressful exam again.
I didn't know we could get our papers remarked. I sat the IELTS exam last year and my results were:
Speaking: 8
Reading: 7
Listening 7.5
Writing: 6

I got 8 8 7.5 6.5, LRSW. I requested remarking on 18 April 2023. I am waiting for my results. Honestly, I wasn't very sure about my writing task. So I just wanted to retake the exam but my fiance insisted on remarking. I didn't practice much in any of the module. I took the test with 2-3 days of preparation(I do not suggest this at all). Your videos helped me understand the structure of the exam. If I don't get a 7 in writing then I'll have to retake the exam. Thank you so much, guys! I like how playful Jay can be. I took mine on 14th April, 2023. Had 8.5-R, 8-L, 7.5-S, 7-W. I need a 7.5 in Speaking. I applied for remarking since 15th April and I haven't received any response yet. For how long do I have to wait. Shouldn't the result come out in 2-21 days?

I took IELTS about 2 weeks ago, and my initial result was
Overall 7.5 (L: 8.5; R: 8.0; W: 6.0; S:8.0)
I was expecting at least 6.5 in Writing, so I decided to do EOR only for Writing. Yesterday, I got a new result! Yay!
Overall 8.0 (L: 8.5; R: 8.0; W: 6.5; S:8.0)
I did self-study for 5 days so I'm satisfied with the result.

I got my test results today (L-8.5, R-8, W-6.5, S-7.5). Of all the sections in IELTS, writing was one which I was most confident about in this test because of the topic and my experience around it. An increase of 0.5 band would have helped me achieve my desired score. Am I right in applying for EOR?

I have requested a re-mark twice and in both cases my mark was increased: From 7.0 to 8.0 (2019); from 7.0 to 7.5 (2021)

I tried IELTS GA twice last month with an interval of about 15 days. Got both results as R8.5 L8.5 S7 W6.5. Tried remark and no result got changed. That 0.5 from 6.5 to 7 I really believe they make it difficult for immigration purposes.

I requested an EOR 7 days ago. My original scores were 8.0 L, 7.5 R, 6.5 W, 6.0 S. I wasn't happy with my speaking as I was sure it's far better than my writing (usually speaking is higher than writing). Also, I didn't like the Examiner, so I was sure he substantially decreased my score. So, I applied both Writing (just in case) and Speaking to improve. My speaking score increased from 6.0 to 6.5...although i thought they will give 7.0 😅...0.5 more, and my overall would be 7.5. Nevertheless, my lesson is, if your sure, then you should go for an EOR and improve it. Refund is coming

It's a scam. Once your English center registered your score and sent you the TRF, there’s nothing to be done. The probability is too low to get some change in your grade, and at the end of the day, you feel incapable.
Just to give you guys some encouragement: I’ve requested an EOR and my Writing score went up from 7 to 7.5, with an 8.5 overall (L 9 R 9 W 7.5 S 8)
The reason I requested the remark was because I was really confident with what I had written, besides, I had a very clear understanding about the assessment criteria, therefore I knew I deserved a better score regarding task response and advanced vocabulary
If you’re confident and if you know you have fulfilled the criteria demanded by your desired band just go for it!!! 🇧🇷

@@virkyudhvir2428 it took almost a month that i got a message saying my scores had changed...mine is UKVI Academic so this added a week extra for resending my original TRF and get a new one...till i got a new TRF no clue of how much the scores had changed...

Hello Alex, will the examiner be punished if they didn't give the accurate score? I took ielts in China last year and I got L-8.5 R-8 W-7.5 and only 5.5 on S. The examiner was very impatient, he spoke very fast when asking questions, and even rolled his eyes when I asked him to repeat some questions. I requested a re-mark immediately, but since I needed IELTS for my school, I didn't have a 6-week waiting period. So I flew to Germany to take the ielts again, where I got 7.5 on speaking. And 6 weeks later I got the result, my speaking score went up to 7.5, same as what I got in Germany. In this case, will the examiner bear any punishment?
Oh what a terrible experience! I’m so glad you got your correct score in the end. I would definitely lodge a complaint with your test centre. Examiners are expected to follow very strict guidelines about timing and behaviour... it sounds like yours was quite intimidating. Examiners are monitored every few months, so if they are giving the wrong scores, it will be discovered then and they may need to retrain.

I appeared for IELTS over the weekend and got my result today. O 8; S 7.5, L 8.5, R 8.5 and W 7.
For writing, I was fairly confident of the structure of the letter and essay, variety of simple and complex sentences, usage of simple as well as sophisticated words, narrative building, reasoning, examples, etc. Hence was expecting a higher score.
A 7.5 instead of 7 will be of great help to me. I have seen your videos where you have insisted upon using different type of sentences and words. I would like to believe that I did that.
Should I go for a Remarking for Writing? While 7 is an acceptable score for me, 7.5 would be great. I am worried that the Remark shouldn't pull my score further down, as that would be a major setback for me. Can that happen?
Please share your experiences with Remarking if possible.

Should I apply for revaluation for writing or listening ? Or appear for new exam ?
