Allen became my HERO after this. What an absolute true man, bleeding his heart out at the end of the world inside the mind of God. At the last chance to confess his love, he finally goes for it full pelt, absolute honesty and brimming with passion. Allen owns.
@KTV 4U I felt the same way at first... I mean, I wonn't make excuses for her attitude but after learning about everything and how it was all "Destined" along with Shion's role in the never ending circle... only a bit of a pass.
Imagine having your former co-worker tagging along and pulling a marriage speech out in front of your ex? While its the end of the world? That's a great man right there
@@nateweinand4209 Well, that, and the fact that Shion had been through the biggest amount of trauma of any character in the entire series, by far. And considering how messed up the entire cast is, that's saying something. Let's not forget she starts to know about Kevin's deception after she learns the truth behind the Gnosis arrival, which made her have a literal mental breakdown. To say she wasn't thinking straight would be a MASSIVE understatement.
No wonder why I chose the name Alan in my tokusatsu fanfic and I wish I finished the Xenosaga trilogy. This game deserves a remake dammit and I hate the name Kevin also well
they should of given a role in the party of these games...most of the games ive played where the guy gets the girl she's one of the party but through Xenosaga allen was on the sidelines most of the times it would've been cooler if he'd been a swordsman or even a mage in this game i know he completely beat kevin cause he managed to win shion by being just a "weak human being" but having a little power wouldn't of hurt
@@TonyDaExpert he wasn't really weak and that's not the point the point is he stood his ground for the woman he loves that's the point Kevin just thought alen was weak but the real weak one was Kevin
brice brinson you misinterpreted my comment, denotatively Allen holds less power than Kevin, but still he stands up for her and that makes him connotatively stronger than Kevin as he does not run away. He calls Kevin out for this along with the rest of the testaments
brice brinson that’s what I meant on my original comment, but I expected that it would be obvious enough for people to fill in the blanks per say. I expected people to understand that Allen’s lack of physical strength combined with his powerful mental strength/resolve is set to contrast with Kevin’s strong physical strength but weak mental strength. If Allen was more powerful than Kevin (physically) the overall theme of this scene would be severely weakened. I do admit I worded my original comment poorly though lol.
Actually, it does. It's just that most people don't deserve it, but few situations in life allow such love to show-to shine. Most of life's events are dull and boring, which doesn't facilitate character development. The act of [over] socialising is especially worse, being exposed to lacking, and awful characters only serve to hinder a person's personal growth and their perception of what life could be like, i.e. the possibilities.
You're right. People are selfish not that anything is wrong with that. It just means that realistic Shion wpul've sacrificed the shit out of them for her happiness and Allen would be looked at as a simp.
@@Human_01 If most people don't deserve it, life is events our full and boring , and the risk of constantly running into awful characters exists, it basically doesn't exist, no? It's so rare you're unlikely to find it if we go by your line of thinking.
The comments are talking up Allen but Kosmos is clearly the winner of this scene and what had won Shion over. Allen’s speech is kinda nice but I don’t like the whole “I’m taking Shion back” thing he sounds just like Kevin. Kosmos spoke actually acknowledging Shions agency but encouraged her to change her mind that’s true love.
Mad respects to Allen. His speech made Shion realize that her relationship to Kevin is plain toxic.

Not really.
The Chad Human vs The Virgin Testament
In fiction I guess. In real life our mans Allen would have Shions boot in his ass and Testament "Not Sasuke" would be sitting back smirking.
@@ThatGuy-en2nn Even if Kos-Mos had anything to say about it?

My favorite scene. :) Allen finally did it.
Taylor Matlock I have been waiting three games for this!!! Finally!
This scene is so well rounded, for Allen, and Shion
KOS-MOS and Jin the best wingmen Allen could ever get
Video games simply don’t get any better
I love it! And it's the first time that he calls her, "Shion." Sure there were times when Allen said her name but it was never to her face. *Cries*

You did well Kos-Mos. Mary's consciousness might have changed within you; but when it changed it was for the better.

Right
Allen is a simp
I'm here again to cry still.
Kinda took KOS-MOS a while to protect a Vector employee

Kevin really was the first version of Consul N.

Huh. Yeah, kinda.
He kinda is just not as insane and unhinged as N was
Nah, Grahf was first

I agree. Her relationship with Kevin is beyond irritating. How stupid is she?
