I enjoyed the conversation about fleece. I am not a spinner but learned very interesting insight into different fleece compositions. Glad you had a good time at Rhinebeck!
Interval pace for a 5K is a good goal, you can always pick it up when you hit the last mile or just work on mind work to maintain even pace. Fun summary of Rhinebeck and vendors you visited
Go Emma! Keep up the good work training! Loved meeting you at Rhinebeck! Wanted to ask about Nittin but was so excited to meet you that I forgot (Hi Nittin! 😊). I look forward to your weekly episodes to hear your perspective on life ( you are the same age as my youngest son…). Enjoy these last few weeks of training as 1) they are exciting because you know training is almost done AND 2) it means the marathon is close!! 🎉 If you decide to do The Twin Cities (MN) in the future, let me know. It’s the best for crowd support THE WHOLE WAY. Perhaps I have it in me to train again and run it too. 😅 Thanks for being you and talking to us every week. ❤
Hi, Emma. This was my first Rhinebeck. I’m also a fairly new knitter. I was thrilled to see Corinne and feel the Whooly Thistle yarns including Rambler. I’m sorry that I didn’t bump into you. As a newbie, I couldn’t figure out where the meet up hill was! I decided to visit the sheep at that point in the afternoon and if I discovered the hill, then great. But I didn’t. I had a great time. I actually picked up some Lambs Pride and am really excited to use it! Because I used to live in Balto and love the area, I’m probably going to attend the MD Sheep and Wool next yr. 😊
Hi Emma - I really enjoy seeing you here and on TWT. I went to Rhinebeck sheep & wool for the first time this past weekend too. YES it was exhausting! And for me especially bc I have some issues with knee and hip pain. And that parking lot 🙄 It was so difficult to understand the layout, which caused me to miss the barns I could have gone to. My goal was to find some real yarn from a farm which I did from Boondoggle Farm. Nice Finn sheep yarn. Anyway I wasn’t sure where TWT hill was, so missed that. I admire all your interest in spinning. I took a class once but it was taught to spin in the grease!! What a downer. I’m now at an age where I just want beautiful natural woolly wool to make socks mostly. Just saying hello and to say I admire all your creative knitting and wool info.
We all have right to feel proud of achievements. So glad you enjoyed Rhinebeck, always fun to meet up with friends. 🇬🇧
Thank you! I'm so glad I was able to go and have so much fun.
So much beautiful handspun. ❤❤
Thank you!!
So nice to meet you in person this weekend!
Same!! Thanks so much for saying hi!

I'm glad! (It's a slippery slope...) and thank you so much!

That is great advice - thank you so much!!

Hey! Thank you for saying hi, it was so nice! I will let you know if I ever run that marathon, because it sounds nice (and flat)!

I'm so glad to hear you got Lamb's Pride! And hopefully we run into each other at MD sheep and wool!
I’d love to hear about your journey into spinning, personal, you tube, videos, books…
Thank you for the idea! I will talk about it on the show 😄

That is so wonderful - thanks so much for saying hi here! I'm sad I couldn't see you at Rhinebeck, so I hope you come back next year too!
I picked up some Feederbrook fiber at Rhinebeck in part because you spoke of it fondly (also the colors are my current vibe).
I LOVE this fiber!! The one in the braid is sometimes a little felted, but the combed top that comes in bags is always absolutely perfect.
