    Great video! I got all for of my brakes done on my 2011 Nissan Rogue today in 4.5 hrs with the recommended break-in procedure.
    I noticed that I only had to remove 1 screw on the bracket. The top screw had no threads and seemed to only act as a pivot. I hope I didn’t screw it up. It seems to stop great now!

    I've replaced the brakes on all my cars with ease, except my Rogue. For some reason, it is intimidating.

      +Jenny C As of 6/16/19 at 9:01 AM EST, we have 2 front and rear brake kits for a 2009 Nissan Rogue, one for $159.95 and one for $164.95. Please keep in mind our prices can fluctuate from time to time. The amount of time it takes depends on who is doing the installation, and their skill and knowledge level with auto repairs. 1aauto.com

    No springs for the brake pads?

    That hole in the caliper is for a bar so you can push your piston back in before you take the caliper off.

    Omgosh, you make it look so easy but I don't think I could do this. I'm on a fixed income and thought I would be able to do it. Now I'm scared😦😦😦😦

      +A GIRL AND A DOG Thanks for checking us out. If you do dot feel confident you can do the job yourself it is always a good idea to see if you can get some help. The last thing you want to do is tear apart half of the car and not be able to complete the job!

      Just make sure you have all the proper tools. Closed end wrenches and a rubber hammer for the tough to remove bolts that are siezed up.

    How do I know if my break pads and rotors needs a replacement?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Rodolfo Elambo Thanks for the comment, Rodolfo. The best way to know is to test how the vehicle brakes. Good brakes will be smooth and be very responsive, while worn brakes will squeal and sometimes cause a pulsing feeling in the pedal at lower speeds.

    Noticed you didn't bleed the brakes? Thought that was necessary when doing a brake job?

    • @Odium515
      @Odium515 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1 year late, but its not necessary to bleed the brakes unless you remove a brake hose/line. If all you do is push the piston back in, there is no reason to bleed

    Are there torque specification for the calipers?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Padua Aparici Thank you for watching. The caliper bolt should be 20 - 25 ft lbs, but this was found from a separate source. We recommend verifying the torque specification with a dealership, or other source. 1aauto.com
