RESTORING Mercedes 420SL - Dry Ice Cleaning & Paint Correction

- Of all the R107 SL Mercedes Benz variants, the 420SL is the most rare, with Mercedes only producing roughly 13,500 units. We had the pleasure of dry ice cleaning, washing, and restoring this Mercedes 420SL recently. We applied paint correction, polished various chrome parts, buffed the interior trim pieces, shampooed the interior, you name it!
The 420 SL was fitted with a 4.2L v8, the M116, producing a whopping (for the time) 201hp in the US "catted" market. The european "non-cat" Mercedes Benz 420SL produced 215hp, and I sure it just sounds awesome.

That undercarriage looked incredible after the dry ice treatment, almost brand new! That's amazing for the age of this vehicle. The undercarriage of this car looked to be one of the cleanest ever done by your channel yet!

The work is great and so time consuming, but you really have to appreciate with what amazing quality these cars used to be made, it looks almost brand new all over after this treatment, you can still see very crisp assembly line markings on that undercarriage, not to mention all the rest.

Typically how far do customers ship cars to you. I'm in Nor Cal and I know someone that has in their collection a Ferrari 812 Superfast and a SF90 Novitec among others.....
@@23727bgk We've had cars from Florida, New Jersey, New York, and all along the east coast come here. Frequently from AZ, OH, a few a others. We had a nice new 812 in a month or so ago from out of state actually

Mercedes has always had this color since the early 70s. It’s Light Ivory aka taxi ivory since it’s the German Taxi color.
