It's actually quite awesome Baltany are finally using the Miyota 6S21!!! This has a running small second as opposed to the blooming VK64 and the chrono hand has a smooth "meca quartz" sweep as well. This is actually the best quartz "Bicompax" movement and I hope they keep using it!
What did you do Friday? Normal guy 1- I took the family to the movies, normal guy 2 - I had a date with a beautiful woman, watch guy- I spent 6 straight hours making sure I had exactly the watches I wanted in my basket and added all the discounts to get ready for 11/11.
Fyi I'm looking at another gem the steeldive W10 homage Steelflier ... I had the Baltany in my cart but I've been happy with the Steeldive and Addiedive watches I own. Also looking at the Thorn Fifty Fathoms although the strap kills me.
Great "uluvun uluvun" videos, John.❤ I'm after the Escapement Time Flieger - A with the VH 31 movement (going through a "fed up with mechanical watches " phase!). Wish I had picked the Tandorio you recommended. Got their GMT; accuracy is OK, but the lume on the hands is pants ! As for the other significance of 11.11 - we will remember them🥀. Cheers 🍻!
John...John..John... I'm trying very hard to keep temptation and any purchases I make to a minimum, but you mate are not making it easy 🤣😂 All joking aside, terrific work John, really appreciate all the great tips and information you provide. We know it is lots of work, but appreciate it immensely. Cheers mate 👍
Hi John what is the Baltany a homage of ? an off color IWC or Patek not sure model… actually I’m not sure at all can you let us know what the homage is !? Thanks Johnnnnnnn!!
Addiesdive are serious about this Explorer homage being a dive watch. Not only does it say "Deepseehunter" on the dial, the listing includes "diving mechanical watch" This calls into question their understanding of proper toolwatches and their purpose. Besides it's quartz and not mechanical. By the way, there is a wee mistake at 6:00 in your video. The Addiesdive "BB Pro" does not have sapphire.
2.5K views in under 4hrs well done sir! noticed an issue with the Specht&Sohne links ...but may be just me. Addiesdive AD2101 is the pick of the bunch Tandorio is interesting. usually what puts me off tandorio is I'm never comfortable with watches that look like divers but have a shallow WR ratings....suggests poor build quality to me. Guess that's why the Addiesdive 300m and 1000m homages appeal at $58 and $74. Probably not true ratings but if I'm ever at 1000m it means I'm half way through a particularly unsuccessful ocean cruise and I will be too flat to complain. Keep it up!
Haha. A couple of folk on the States can't use the Specht links apparently but I always double check my links ( even on a VPN) before posting for optimum results. Seems ok at this end so I can't offer any solution sorry 😔
@@johnswatchjoint hardly your fault and yes for my sins I am exiled to the land of pickup trucks and really crap beer. Thanks for you efforts to run QA, rest of the links work fine cheers!
I have to decide between the 36mm addies explorer and the Steelflier W10 homage that uses the same case as the tandorio. How would you compare these two in terms of all day comfort seeing how the w10 is so thick?
The Addiesdive is definitely the more versatile and comfortable watch for daily wear. It's a stunner on wrist. The W10 is for occasional use as it is more awkward under a cuff :)
@@johnswatchjoint figured but wanted a second opinion. I hope they come out with a V2 for the steelflier quartz with a slimmer case tho. Thanks for the answer!
Hi there. Depends what you are looking for. If it's real rough and tumble stuff then quartz but if you want the authenticity of it and can live with setting the time every few days then automatic :)

I agree . Can't stand the redundant 24 hr!
@@johnswatchjoint In addition, without any moving parts, the watches look somewhat lifeless
You’re a true gentleman. Putting out a second list. Thanks for your hard work!
Cheers Albert...it's like a catharsis! Haha 😆
I bought the Watchdives WD1960S 36mm VH31, white - applied indices. $65. Tudor Ranger homage. Waiting for delivery.
Well done 👍
Really enjoy all your videoes. Thank you very much. Have a great weekend. Cheers from Denmark
Glad you like my videos. Hello back from a frigid Scotland 🥶

Yes we should always remember them. They did not fight for what we have now that is for sure...we need their spirit back :/
Excellent Selection John!
Thanks my friend 😊

My collection is 100 plus now ,i lost count a while ago just cant help myself .
Oh my god! How do you choose what watch to wear? I stick to seven because if I didn't I would go mad haha!

It's a rough homage of the Type 20 chronos. Look it up and you will see where its lines have come from :)
I have that Specht & Sohne in orange ... love the looks ... good luck adjusting the size of that rubber strap ... was very awkward.
Thanks for the tips!

Yeah I know that. Slip of the tongue but thanks for pointing out all the negatives !

John, the two SPECHT&SOHNE links do not load for me in the U.S.A: Sorry, the page you requested can not be found:(
Sorry buddy. Probably because they do not ship there. It's something I can't always know, being here in the UK :(
Hey John I'm looking at an older Baltany (their dirty dozen) is the automatic worth it or should I go with the quartz?
