I work for Volvo- here's some important things they missed. 1. Climate control works through the Voice Control button on the steering wheel~ "Set climate 72" - "Lower Fan Speed" - "Seat Heat On" - "Auto Fan 1" - Reaching for any climate system while driving is dangerous- voice control is safer and easier. 2. The Driving Mode selector screen will disappear when you press the home button under the touch screen. 3. Lane Keeping Aide works full time as long as it's enabled in the Vehicle Functions screen- at speeds over 40MPH. LKA Does not keep you centered, it keeps you inside the line as you begin to cross the line. As you cross over a line by 2-4CM, it steers you gently back inside the lane. This generally prevents heavy ping-ponging between lanes. Pilot Assist is separate in it's functionality as it uses both lines to keep you centered in the lane and take light turns- as with adaptive cruise control, tapping the brakes or making a hard turn on the steering wheel will disable Pilot Assist. If there are no drive lines on the road- yet Pilot Assist is active- Lane Keeping Aide and Run-Off-Road Mitigation are both still active in trying to keep you on the road. 4. Those are the stock Inscription trim wheels- on an R-Design. I have never seen that anywhere else. Great review! My customers definitely are not shopping in a price segment- if they are looking at this vehicle- they are looking at Audi Q5's, BMW X3/X5's, Infinity QX50'ss, Lexus RX350's and so forth. Volvo usually ends up giving you more standard equipment and better tech than the others for less money- on a car that promises you won't die in it.

I know many people who've ended up buying a pick-up \ Grand Cherokee.. when nearing the 50K+ , the commanding view of the road, and implemented speed limits really encourage drivers to have spacious cabins of crew cab trucks, and lots of option for gear & hauling. You guys are great Canadians with symbiotic chemistry ! Keep the funny "Thor headlight" & informative reviews coming . The extra ground clearance of trucks are healthy over 4 seasons & road debris, curbstone, beach access, creek crossing, Ice fishing, Kiting etc.
I bought an xc60 R design with Polestar optimization. I love the SUV. Perfect power, excellent versatility, reliability, affordability and maintenance. Not too showy but not too boring. I got rid of an older model 650I and ML SUV and got just this one vehicle. It definitely meets my spirited driving requirements while being able to downplay it to luxury driving when I have occupants. When I purchased this vehicle I was comparing via similar vehicles and not a price point. I knew I wanted an SUV for sure. Although I can understand some people like my roommate look for anything under a price point.
Such a nice vehicle.. I grew up around a family who always had Volvos and they have literally THE BEST seats in the auto industry. So comfortable, love Volvo interiors as a whole. I'd rock this thing for sure.
I've definitely cross shopped by price. My first major car purchase was narrowed down to a Juke, Beetle, GTI, Tacoma, RAV4, and a Silverado. The only factors I wanted for sure were side airbags, stability control, less than 50k miles, and an $18k limit. The trucks gas mileage we're offset by comparatively low price and great insurance rates compared to the others due to being slightly older and closer to my 50k mile threshold. Surprisingly, the estimated cost to own was highest on the RAV4.
As always, great video, happy to see these every Tuesdays and Thursdays. As for me, I car shop based on car, specifically hybrids. I couldn't imagine driving larger SUVs/trucks.

Yuri deserves an award for the dramatic reenactment of his accident. Seriously, I hope you don't end up with a scar though. I currently have a 2015 Volvo V60 and I hate the auto start stop. I have conditioned myself to turn if off each time I get in the car, the button is right by the shifter. Mine has the sport package and it is harsh over bumps because it has 19" wheels. When it comes to cars I have owned and the pricing, I think I just pick what I like at the time and what will meet my needs and budget. I've had a variety of vehicles over the past 10 years because circumstances change. I've had a Dodge Ram 1500 4 x 4 Hemi QC when I had a car trailer and towed stuff, a Dodge Charger V6 when gas went super high, a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (6-speed) as fun daily (but too slow), and now the Volvo because I travel a lot for work and it gets good mileage and is decently quick. But I guess I am headed towards a mid-life crisis because I want MX5 or a Mini Cooper, but I'm leaning towards MX5 because I want a manual transmission in a small sporty car, its RWD, and the top goes down. But the newer ones are hard to find in my area with the color and features I want.
I test drove one a few months ago and really liked it. There is only one Mazda dealer in my town and they don't have what I'm looking for. I've been searching for used ones and the cars/price I like are 300 or more miles away, so I'm still looking for the right one. I'm trying to be patient.
I don’t really cross-shop. If I’m looking for a hatchback, I don’t really consider a truck as an option. Speaking of hatchbacks... looking forward to that golf r review 🙂
Alex Lee Me too but since the new story about VW subcontracting emissions testing to animal and human testing....I’m thinking to cancel my R on order. Might go Volvo V60 but really I have nothing else to cross-shop. I can’t fucking believe VW.
I love that you guys are from Toronto, it's where I live, and its funny to understand "Don Valley Parkway" references and things like that. Also nice to hear youtube car reviews in kilometres and Canadian pricing. Really great content!
You guys are bloody amazing. I have got the new XC60 D5 R-Design Pro, and you've pretty much nailed every pro and con. The parcel shelf is my biggest con!!!
I'm guilty of cross-shopping by price, I'm moving overseas and need to replace my Audi A3, so far my list is; another A3, BMW X5, Mazda MX-5 or VW Amarok. Such an oddball list but I'm luckily in a position where the only deciding factor is if I like the vehicle
Thanks guys! 😁 I feel Volvo is really moving forward, both in terms of architecture with the 2 scalable products line and in terms of engine downsizing. I am really looking forward to the new generation of 1.5 litre turbo engine hybrid which, if refined properly, will be massive sellers in Europe.
Yes to the DVP test! Grab all the semi autonomous cars! As for the gas tank icons, I think the lower one is suppose to show "go to gas station", and the arrow coincidentally is pointed to the correct side.
This review has lead me to believe that, hands down, you two are my favorite reviewers to watch. You both have driven so many cars. I like how you talk about hyper aware stuff such as the time a screen takes to switch after an input. That shit is gold! That’s the stuff you find out after 72 hours and you’re like fuck! If I would have known this before, I wouldn’t have picked this over the other option.
Whenever you guys change driver spot, the transition can be made to look like a magic trick. I hope you do it in next video. Great review as always. P.s I always cross shop considering price. Irrespective of vehicle class
Guys for the lane assist it is activated and deactivated separately through a button when you slide to the left screen in sensus, if its activated canceling Pilot Assist will keep the lane assist active, if it's not activated then canceling Pilot assist will cancel the lane assist.
True! I do have an XC90 which I believe shares the same system with the XC60, on certain roads where pavement is cracked and lines are faded the system will struggle and can be pain in the rear, often times it pulls me in an unfavorable direction and that's why I find it a big plus that I can turn it off completely. I haven't driven a Genesis before but I will take your word for it, thank you guys for the great videos!
My wife and I have a 2005 xc90 and the first time i drove it, i did the same exact thing! Sliced my forehead right open. It's not getting in an accident that will injure you, it's opening the doors!!
Been enjoying the videos. I like the personality/s in the vids. Also like that you guys are driving cars in areas that I know. So it's cool to see cars I would be interested in on the roads that I drive.
A little tip about the FUEL TANK indicator: if a car is missing the little arrow that points to which side the filler is at, 99/100 times, it will be located on the same side as the indicator itself is placed on the dashboard.
Guys, can we get some shots of Mississauga Road for the next car review? It's got nice scenery and beautiful homes to pass by, perfect for driving shots.
Next time you drive a Volvo, try to get a manual. My dad bought a v90 in manual as he cannot stand automatics (very nice that they still offer one) and he was really impressed as the clutch is assisted so every time you start it will have the perfect clutch/gas proportion. And you can manually press the clutch and change gears whilst in pilot assist/cruise control without the system stopping. Trust me, you will be gladly impressed! ;)
I always cross-shop based on price. I am a single guy so I don’t need practicality but I ended up with a Tacoma instead of a Scion FRS. Totally based on price.
Others have said it, but you guys have nailed the car review. The only car review I watch every second of with no skipping. Nice work. Keep it up. (I hit my head too on the XC60 R... It happens)
My cross-shop is usually price, economy and/or speed. For example, I would cross-shop a Accord 2.0T with a GT86 or MX-5 because they are all around the same price, get about the same economy and their 0-60 times are within half a second of each other.
I'm shopping a price limit. The list of vehicles is broad and varied. Around $40k. Golf R, Tour X, Stinger, Regal GS, Audi S3, Dodge Charger. No SUVs, no crossovers, no trucks. I'm also looking forward to that Golf R review :-). Keep it up guys.

Looking at your visor test at 2:20, it doesn't need to move back because it covers nearly the whole window. There's barely an inch of window left, and it's behind your head so there isn't an issue. Ergo, it passes!

I’m excited to see the new v60 Xc wagon on your channel, maybe I’ll still be shopping for another vehicle!either way I appreciate the honest reviews
I've never heard these 2 disagree so much. Love it!
You guys are bloody amazing. I have got the new XC60 D5 R-Design Pro, and you've pretty much nailed every pro and con. The parcel shelf is my biggest con!!!
+Nick Powell awesome thanks man
I'm guilty of cross-shopping by price, I'm moving overseas and need to replace my Audi A3,
so far my list is; another A3, BMW X5, Mazda MX-5 or VW Amarok. Such an oddball list but I'm luckily in a position where the only deciding factor is if I like the vehicle
I am a huge fan of this channel
And this is out! Just after my bday! You guys are the greatest ever👌🚀
Luca Molino happy birthday
+Luca Molino happy birthday!
Thanks guys! 😁
I feel Volvo is really moving forward, both in terms of architecture with the 2 scalable products line and in terms of engine downsizing.
I am really looking forward to the new generation of 1.5 litre turbo engine hybrid which, if refined properly, will be massive sellers in Europe.
Thanks for keeping these older vids up! Im considering a lease return to purchase snd these 2018-19 vids help before going to test drive
Yes to the DVP test! Grab all the semi autonomous cars!
As for the gas tank icons, I think the lower one is suppose to show "go to gas station", and the arrow coincidentally is pointed to the correct side.
+Happynoobing correct, but the other one adds confusion
1:03 best reenactment ever 10/10
This review has lead me to believe that, hands down, you two are my favorite reviewers to watch. You both have driven so many cars. I like how you talk about hyper aware stuff such as the time a screen takes to switch after an input. That shit is gold! That’s the stuff you find out after 72 hours and you’re like fuck! If I would have known this before, I wouldn’t have picked this over the other option.
+Matthew Gissentanna haha right on, thanks man
It sucks that most of the cars that you guys review isn't available in my country. But your videos are super dope.
Whenever you guys change driver spot, the transition can be made to look like a magic trick. I hope you do it in next video. Great review as always.
P.s I always cross shop considering price. Irrespective of vehicle class
about time you guys get this car! nice review.
Another great review..love how you point out the cost of options.. awesome
Great review, thank you. Jacob needs to make a video about his watch collection
+Anoosh Mokhtarian it's not very big or expensive
Dudes, you get me sold. Nice video
Guys for the lane assist it is activated and deactivated separately through a button when you slide to the left screen in sensus, if its activated canceling Pilot Assist will keep the lane assist active, if it's not activated then canceling Pilot assist will cancel the lane assist.
RedlineS2K or genesis always on regardless of throttle or brakes as long as you’re above 70kmh :-)
+RedlineS2K its still active but not as active as with pilot assist
you guys, savagegeese, and redline reviews are my favourite!
T5 with Polestar optimization makes this a solid daily driver. Refined luxury in the inside with enough sportiness to make driving fun.
Nice job, guys. They do a really great review of the Evoque as well. Great points that even the Edmunds reviewers don't think of.
Awesome job guys! Greetings from Brazil!
You should drive around the Lake to the Finger Lakes. The background scenery is much better over here.
Again good job guys! simple funny and refreshing! :)
+Banger Asante awesome
This video cemented my decision to buy the Volvo Xc60.
A little tip about the FUEL TANK indicator: if a car is missing the little arrow that points to which side the filler is at, 99/100 times, it will be located on the same side as the indicator itself is placed on the dashboard.
+svinto we will test that theory
TheStraightPipes please do! Lemme know what you guys think
Guys, can we get some shots of Mississauga Road for the next car review? It's got nice scenery and beautiful homes to pass by, perfect for driving shots.
He hit his head !!!
Trust me, you will be gladly impressed! ;)
Yuri is so angry 😡, i love it 😂😂. Love the car, watched this 3x 🙈
And another great video 💪🏽you guys are on a role 👌🏽love you vids man!
I think I'm ready to grow up and this vehicle might make me give up my 4Runner. I saw one the other day and loved the look.
YES!!! I do look at price range and not just a single segment.
I also agree that you guys should host a car meet
+ElectronikReviews ok we will at some point
was shopping for a small hatch. purchased and s60r. best purchase.
You guys are so fun to watch especially compared to most of these monotone lethargic car reviews on TH-cam :D keep up the awesome work!
+suilujre 777 thanks!
I'd call the side feature "Scalloped Contouring" :-) Great Vid once again guys.
Great job- u guys do such a good job and the humor is spot on🤘🏻
Another way to learn the location of the fuel cap is which side the fuel nozzle is on the fuel symbol. You can always go out and check 🤷🏽♂️
+Muhannad Aldajan yes that's the back up symbol. Sometimes it doesn't even have that! Or it points the wrong way
I always cross-shop based on price.
It happens)
I absolutely cross shop. I'm set by price, and the coolest option available for that price. Currently a Jeep GC.
did Rex think the ride was ruff ?
this is a very nice over all vehicle, well done volvo, i would like more physical buttons though. excellent video :)
Beautiful car inside and out. Probably next purchase here.
Both You guys are doing really great videos... love from Scarborough Toronto
i opened all mas classic web pages, then I choose my movie (avenger: civil war) but suddenly in my browsing I saw your video and hesitate, you were the reason that stoped civil war 12:59 minutes.
Looking at your visor test at 2:20, it doesn't need to move back because it covers nearly the whole window. There's barely an inch of window left, and it's behind your head so there isn't an issue. Ergo, it passes!
I like all your reviews, great work, I've been following you since the beginning and the quality of videowork has gone up slowly and is really great nowadays, but I'm looking for the XC90 review on the channel and can't seem to find it... Really looking forward to the 90's review.
Yuri, at least the cut was not caused by a visor test gone wrong. We don't want to lose that test due to injury.
You two peeps really do work well together! I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video well done guys. I'm also in the market for an XC60 will hopefully be getting one in the next few weeks in R Design D5.
My old '91 Lumina APV had a raked back door like that. You learn *real* fast to dodge it.
im glad someone else has this auto climate issue
Gas tanks are pretty easy to remember- on most Japanese and American models, it is on the left hand side whereas European models have it on the right
+Jack Spencer not always!
I would like to compare vehicle base on price. The most important thing for me is not a car, SUV or Pick-up. I love all these kinds of vehicle.
Early comments on this video are favourable. Good work. Set the fan to 'loud' at 3:06 !
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!
