I sure do wish I had some homemade biscuits so that I could make my Momma's biscuit pudding!! I really miss my Momma's homemade biscuit pudding!! She passed away in1977 at the age of 44. I am 70 years old now and disabled. But I still miss her today!
@@rhondacribbs5727 my momma made her bread pudding using leftover biscuits and light bread and she would use whatever sweetner she had the most of from molasses to sugar or even a can of condensed sweet milk and it always came out delicious , and she often used evaporated milk and water to mix her bread up with ! When we ran short on milk momma would make our milk out if a can of evaporated milk and a can of water , and I still do it today ! I’m 73 with a lot of medical problems , and recently diagnosed with a terminal illness , I live alone and don’t use milk that often so making my own works well for me !!
Bread pudding is our favorite, especially with any type of fruit in it. No bread product goes to waste around our house. Mommas' way is always the best way. I miss my Momma, too. Bless you for sharing.

I used to not be a fan of bread pudding, but then I found out that I just hadn't had it done right. When it's done correctly, like you've got here, it's amazing. It's funny that you were thinking about and talking about your mother so much today. Mine has been on my mind a lot lately as well. She went home Feb. 15th of this year, and we finally closed on the selling of her house this Friday. It's not the house I grew up in, my parents bought it after we'd grown up and moved out, and I thought I wasn't going to have any real feelings about it being owned by someone else, but when my brother texted me to tell me the paperwork was finalized, I got a little sad. A sweet friend of the family bought it, and I'm really hoping it will serve her well and she'll love it like my parents did. I'm grateful for parents that spent their lives building memories that are happy for us to recall. Thank you for your videos.

I love bread pudding Talli Faye , how long did you bake yours in your pan ?? I usually cook mine in my Bundt pan at 350 for between 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean, and I butter my Bundt pan and sprinkle sugar all over the butter inside the pan including the tube , which gives it a crystallized crunchy exterior and is delicious ! Thanks for showing us your mommas bread pudding and her deep pan she cooked hers in !! ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈

I love bread pudding, but I usually just buy it from the Rouses Deli, but I think I’m definitely going to have to make this one, at least for Thanksgiving if not sooner! An interesting note about the sweetened condensed milk, it’s my favorite “go to” creamer for my morning coffee! It has the PERFECT balance of sweet & creaminess all in one! And tastes amazing! One of my favorite desserts as a child. My Daddy is the one that made it. My favorite version was when he'd use 1/2 evaporated milk with 1/2 coconut milk. I'm going to definitely make it this week ❤

My grandma also made smooth bread pudding, she would put one can of evaporated milk, and one can of sweetened condensed milk into the mix. Delicious and creamy and sweet….

I used my intuition to think 350 degrees. My husband described this type of bread pudding when we first met. I never ate one like it and none of my family makes it this way. But he wanted me to use his Healthy 35 bread from Lewis bread company. He is a diabetic and it doesn’t make his sugar go up. Next time Inam going to try it with regular bread. I grew up calling whole milk sweet milk. After I graduated from college, I went to Missouri to work. I had shared a Mexican cornbread recipe with a co-worker. The recipe called for sweet milk. She came back to work and said she made the recipe and it was good but it was sweet. I didn’t understand and after a little more conversation, she admitted she used condensed milk. I laughed until I almost pee peed in my pants. She truly used sweet milk!!!

Hey Dear! What temperature do you cook that on? I know every oven is different just wondering if a moderate hot oven or Hot.
