I believe that a lot of people played it extensively in the beginning, put a lot of hours, finished all the content and they would play seriously again probably near launch. The crucible update is cool but not enough to bring many players back. I am a little on the balance on whether the game released too early or not.
100% agree I played over 30 hours and loved every second but crucible is not enough to bring me back, I feel they should of just let it cook until complete, full game full experience I know I’m coming back when the game is done

I don't think the player numbers have at all any relevance, yet. The launch numbers of 35k are really good. When this games gets the MP update that's when player numbers will be more of a factor, if it got a consistent 35k players that'd be great. Obviously the more the merrier, but with where this game is at 35k would be solid imo. Plus I'm someone that played a bunch at launch, now I'm waiting for the bigger overhauls to be done so I can get into the game, like the skill-tree and of course the MP update. Even though it didn't get me back in, I think the crucible update was a good one for the people that do play this game more, gives them something to do. Most of us who are waiting are already waiting and not actively playing, so I think it's fine this got priority.
I'm 165 hours in working on min/maxing my 2nd build. I can't believe how deep this game has sunk its teeth in me...haven't felt this satisfaction since my first Fromsoft game.
I absolutely love the gameplay of the game. I cannot stand the multiple layers of timers and rng that dictate building progression alone not to mention the shop, the way they do daily and weekly quests/bounties. all these tedius and frustrating timers and rng that together pile up just killed the game for me. 5 hours of gameplay feels like 20 hours to me at times. the game is right there. its gold. it just is shooting itself in the foot in my opinion. people are gonna jump in. see the way the grind is laid out. and I think alot of them are gonna quit. I just wanna fight bosses and mobs. But the progression to get there. is just really rough. and I think it contributes to the current just dead state of the game. the rest of the players are just waiting for more content. I think it was a big mistake to just do the crucible instead of following their pre set road map. It didnt feel like the right direction to start with for content.
I just learned about this game from this video. I have been having a blast so far. It is challenging and fun. Mechanics are well established which make building out characters pretty unique.
Absolute banger of a game! I haven't been as happy with a game for a long time. I'm looking forward for multiplayer and more content. Until then - chillin', furnishin' my appartement, grindin' crucible and hoardin' mats.
I'm still going to come back to this game, but I'm letting a good amount of content to build up first. I put 150 hours at the launch and then hopped off for Elden ring dlc. At this point, I want to start a fresh world and character when I'm enticed to try out the new stuff.

Hey man, I hopeyou see this and have time to respond but no worries if not. I was curious, how do you find your niche on youtube? I have been doing a government job for 12 years and have been dreaming of financial freedom and being my own boss. I love gaming and gaming related tech but those genres seem so heavily saturated, Im not sure what I have to offer that would make my videos interesting for people. Did you have this problem when starting off? Would you say to just start cranking out videos and you will kind of fall into your niche?
That’s a great question. For me I follow my passion and so there is already a connection to it being niche because I’m a dev myself and a gamer so I try to provide as much true information as possible. This weirdly is rare. Now, in your case, here is what I do that if you follow it, with time you’ll find success. 1. Create value driven content, this could be anything on any game but give the viewer a gift, and that’s info, new info, or teach them something. 2. Title your content the way people search in Google. 3. Have fun, don’t get locked in analysis paralysis. You’ll learn more by posting then you will trying to make it perfect. If you have any other questions join me in chat on a livestream and I’ll happily share with you anything you’d like to know
the game at the moment is as if it were a demo. let's be clear there is a lot of good... but a lot to fix. among all the character progression system.. the equipment system is really too random.. Let's hope for the next updates!
Crucible isn't good or finished yet. I didn't mind the addition, but it feels very small and not impactful enough. I'm not sure I see the direction the game is going, but I do not regret the purchase. I am bummed out that the campaign was extremely short though, that should've been longer from the start, I reckon. I was hoping for an entire world you know and it feels like we've only got a few zones in the first map. The game should've been 5x the size or smth. Perhaps this will be realized before the full release, but that's just my 2 cents.
@@spasmae866 literally what early release is. Was clearly notated by the devs that this is a fraction of the full game. Maybe you should read before purchase or complaining online
There are random chests in the crucible i have seen them myself in my own gameplay but they are often seemingly outside of the map in impossible to reach places
I just started and im disapointed especially with the combat. Its so off and buggy and pointless. I beat the twins without them even having the chance to stand up, and i used a regular lvl 2 dagger from the blacksmith without any build. Its so unchallanging and has no balance at all. And many attacks just hit you when they shouldnt. And backstabs are so off, that you cant see the right position of his back. They need to make the backstabs from like 150 degrees behind them. Ye and the real time waiting for sleep or projects is just madness. Armor design is ridiculous, you look like a clown. Furniture placement is horrible. They should definitly increase the stack size in ur stash to unlimitted, so you have all ur same mats in one stash. Its ridiculous. Game needs much more bigger open world areas. Its more important than dungeons. Game needs more enemies in the open world, but not in groups. Only single enemies to pull, because groups only leads to boring kiting, instead of difficult fights. Right now its alot of walking without fighting. Enchantment is horrible, they should remove those negative effects and make enchantment worth and usefull. And i didnt try crucible yet, but ive heard theyve removed exp gain from it, which is very bad. And there are probably many more problems ive forgot or dont know yet. But these are the negatives. Overall the game is cool and got me hooked abit, especially with those city upgrades and stuff, except those real time waiting. But im already kinda bored after 27 hours, mostly because of the meaningless and buggy combat and the gear design for looking like a clown after spending alot of money for gear. If they change those things ive mentioned, it would be a very solid game i think. But for real, they need to remake all the armor designs, its unbearable to look like a clown. I get that the game has its own artstyle, but you can still make it look cool. Horrible armor designer. I will start the crucible, im curious what it will offer and im not sure of ive finished the mainstory with that twin boss ive killed. If yes, then its ultra disapointing. We will see, ive definitly expected much more. But its not horrible.
