Great video. Did the keomoto single rear like already plug and play on the machine itself? That way it just gets mounted without needing to do all of the wiring correct? Thanks.

Yes there is a plug and play connection in the rear.

I notice on the video that the backup light stays on dim when the key is on and not in reverse. Do you know what the cause of that is? I have the same backup light on my 2022 Polaris ranger 100 and I have the same problem.

I don’t know what causes it. Unless the wire harness is providing a small amount of energy when key is on. If anyone knows an easy solution, let us know!

Hello, My name is David owner of Automotive Custom Lighting. The reason the light stays on while not in reverse is because you are not supposed to wire a light directly into that plug without a relay. An overseas company started selling these lights on Amazon without doing any research on the machine. The machines reverse plug is not designed to supply any type of load as it was originally designed for a reverse beeper that pulls .002 amps. The positive wire goes directly to the fuse box while the Ground goes directly to the ECU not fused. If a short happens on the light it is possible it can fry your ECU. The ground trigger wire does not 100% shut off. While in reverse it puts out about 13.5v, while it is in any other gear it puts out about 10v; hints the reason the light continues to glow even when its not in reverse. To fix this issue, i created a plug and play relay wiring back in 2018 that solves all the above issues, protection and prevents the light from glowing when not in reverse.

@@automotivecustomlighting2555 thank you for such a detailed response! This clears up any confusion or questions in regards to the light. Do you have a link or website to purchase one of your relays?

Honestly I never thought about it, but you’re correct. It could probably go on the outside. Thanks for the comment, I love hearing everyone’s feedback!!!
