    😍 You are destined to be a great teacher which is what you are already. The way you communicate and the way you film your videos is testament to your high standards that you impose on yourself. Your effort is much appreciated, even from millions of miles away.

    Great tutorial thank you! I'm an absolute beginner and I've been watching a couple of other channels, but they still move so fast when demonstrating stitches. I like how you really breakdown and explain the steps. Thank you! I can't wait to try this beautiful style :)

    What a wonderful explanation. I’ve been a self taught crocheter for 10 years but consider myself pretty new because I don’t do much outside of the basic single and double crochet. Instant subscribe after watching this video

    Thank you so much for your good and well paced tutorial. I used to crochet when I was about 12year and then when I was in my early 20s. Now in my retirement after 70years I found it very useful to excavate this skill. It's very interesting to spend my quiet time, very therapeutic for my wrist exercises. God bless you I love what am doing ....

    Yes ,Claudetta, it is indeed a beautyful stitch but I' m amazed at the holding of the yarn, it's arkward and very cumbersome to work with. I'm holding the yarn the german way and that ensures a much easier feeding in and is a lot quicker. But I must say you teach very clearly.

    • @Improbable_Fiction
      @Improbable_Fiction 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is not right or wrong way to hold tension in your yarn when crocheting. Everyone has their own style and technique that works best for them. What works for you and allows you crochet quickly and with ease may be cumbersome for someone else. Not everyone hold their hooks the same either. 😄

    i have been doing a simmilar pattern for over 30 years. the first difference is that pattern calls for an odd number of stitches, which will be explained. it starts out with 5 rows of single crochets. then a row of double crochets. like yours, it comes back with a row of single crochets. then you chain 3 which is the first stitch and instead of a front post double crochet, it is a front post triple crochet and that solves the problem of all the stitches being the same height. the chain three is counted as a regular double crochet and with an odd number of stitches, the last stitch is also a double crochet. if the stitch following the chain 3 is a front post triple crochet, then the second from the last stitch is also a front post triple crochet. after you do another row of single crochets, the order of stitches changes. the stitch following the chain 3 is now a double crochet and then a front post triple crochet. that means the second stitch from the end and the last stitch are both double crochets. this way the last stitch is never a front post triple crochet, which i think looks better. then you have another row of single crochets and you repeat the last two rows of alternating double crochets and front post triple crochets. then you start from the beginning with five rows of single crochets and the single row of double crochets and another row of single crochets. then you repeat the alternating rows of double crochets and front post triple crochets separated by rows of single crochets like you did before. when you reach the desired length, end with 5 rows of double crochets. i have been doing this pattern since sometime in the late 80's. i remember the pattern, but not the name. there is another variation of this pattern, where you don't insert rows of single crochets, you simply go on and on with alternating rows of double crochets and front post triple crochets separated by rows of single crochets until you reach the desired length. if there is any other way to contact you than instagram, i would be happy to send you pictures of both of those patterns. i think the pattern that hi its kris is referring to is creative grandma's up and down stitch, the second one i described in this comment.

      @@annbashir5888 Yes, it does use a "moderate lot" of yarn, if that makes any sense. Anytime you do front post doubles, it uses extra yarn.

    Beautiful stitch, I’m fairly new to crocheting. I’ve crocheted a blanket and bolster cases. The blanket I made for my son was probably around double bed size, using just dc and popcorn stitch, it is sooooo heavy ! I was looking at making myself a kingsize throw for my bed using your video pattern. I was just wondering if you could help with the best yarn for me to use that would make it lightweight. I’m in the uk so brands would be helpful. Thanks x
