What NEW Nintendo Switch games are you playing!?
I just bought No Man's Sky but I can't get to grips with it at all (even on relaxed mode). There's such a lack of tutorial and I can never land the ship so, at least for now, I've uninstall it. Good job it was half price! Will chalk that one up to experience.

I actually think roots of pacha is so worth it, there is so much to do and so much story in this cute little game, I actually love there not being a combat aspect and it having puzzles and befriending animals and other tribes rather than fighting them
I think I like that Roots of Pacha has no combat, imo. I like that I can just kick back and relax and not worry about tough battles after I’ve been on my feet at work for 10 hours and just want to shut my brain off. 😅
Roots of Patcha is next on my list to buy. I’m kind of liking that there is no combat.

Is the game a long game ?
Been playing Dave the Diver for a while now and I’m so impressed by it. So much content, so quirky and charming, and the gameplay style changes so drastically so often that it’s nearly impossible to get bored. Some of the most fun I’ve had playing a new game in a while, highly recommend.
I put about 30 hours into Spirit Tea and only got about 20% through the story, so there is definitely a lot of content. But I stopped playing because some of the quests were not very intuitive. I found myself looking up guides more often than I would have liked and it kind of takes some of the fun out of it tbh

Obsessed with roots of pacha. Bought it after your game play! where I could see combat fitting in, I actually dislike combat so it works for me!
Roots of Pacha is 1000% with it! It does farming sim in a bit of a different way and it’s one of the best I’ve played in a long time!
I've been obsessed with fae farm since the day it came out. Been thinking about getting the Roots of Pachea but agreed there's no fighting!!! That should totally be an add-on.

Would like to throw Cattails: Wildwood Story ibto the mix. Just came out and is on a slight sale. First game was enjoyable.
I second this! I loved the first Cattails and the second seems like a step up! I'm starting the second game soon, just trying to finish some backlog games.

Oooh bit gutted you weren't keen on SpiritTea! I've picked it up while it was on offer but its a post Xmas gift to myself for when I have the house to myself after guests have left and I can chill and play games and eat food! I also picked up Coffee Talk in the Nintendo Black Friday sale as though it looked cosy but again its to play post Xmas. Hoping I will enjoy both if not more Stardew which I can never get enough of!

I am almost done with my first run on Roots of Pacha. I am a completionist for the most part so I am still working on breeding the rare colors of animals, etc. I like it so much, I just bought it for my Switch. I bought Spiritea and find the sauna part with the spirits tedious and I hate the fishing.

I played Dave the Diver on free trial and it got me hooked! 😂 Probably buying it, at least if it goes on sale. Also played Fae Farm on free trial, it was fun and has beautiful visuals, but there was too much mining for me. Maybe I will pick it up if the DLCs are good 🐸
I want to get Roots of Pacha too, it seems so good. But I'd wish there was combat too, prehistoric times must have been far from peaceful.
I have played about 18 hours of FaeFarm so far and it feels unfinished. I did not manage to emotionally connect to any of the characters.
I have now played 32 hours of Roots of Pacha and am still totally addicted and love all of the characters (although i cannot tell the two old grannies apart if they are not sitting next to each other 😂). The dialogues are different every day and give you useful information about other characters. I do not like reading a lot, but in Roots of Pacha I read every single word because it is worth it.
I loved the FeaFarm, and I did not know I will get DLC for free on my switch :D The game was worth for me already and now I will get extra value? What a nice christmas present :D
I love SpiritTea! It’s grind-y but pleasantly, not farming. I like the story. I think fans of Cozy Grove would enjoy. I can play it to wind down before bed and I love that.

Thanks for your take on faefarm, makes it more reasonable! And I recently bought Wytchcraft cause of the huge sale, I'm over five hours ingame and I love it!! It runs fluently on the Switch, has pretty short loading screens (what suprised me the most) and it looks absolutely gorgeous!

Thank you for video and I agree with all you have said it here👍👍 ,Fea farm I play about 120 hours so far still enjoyed 😂and after have all the flowers i take my time to make on the land( the garden 😅 in the founs of the the 3 house that I own on fea farm 😅 and make them look different in different theme ... i just try to take our all that I can enjoy from it, and I can't wait for DLC 😅 ,i love animals crossing and now fea farm because not feel too much stress

Spirittea has become one of my favourite games. 😂 I don't like the pixel graphics, but I love the gameplay and the bathhouse. It can be difficult to find the spirits and I google for help often, but I really love this game.
I like many aspects of roots or pacha, but the the time during the day goes soooo fast, that it stresses me and I ended up dropping it
Dave the Diver is quite the fantastic game, but it is far from Indie. Maybe that is why it has its price.

Spiritea was a bit disappointment for me. But thankfully for once, a game I was super excited about had a demo available, and so I had the good sense to download it and play it before what I thought would be a quick purchase. I didn’t buy it. I didn’t get through the demo. I am a huge Ghibli fan, I had played Stardew three times now… I would have thought Spiritea would totally be my thing. I’m 41 years old, and it legitimately reminded me of a game I would of played back in 1994, not 2024. Clunky, dated, slow dialogue, forced to follow characters, frustrating, no relationships to build, no soul. Hated it.

The thumbnail of this video shows a picture of a physical version of Roots of Pacha. But I can't find the physical version anywhere. Is that a fake, edited picture, or can you really get this game physically? Also, is Pixel Cafe digital only? Can't find that either.
"It puts you against the clock" is literally the opposite of the definition of a cozy game
While I get what you're saying about the theme and living in a dangerous world, I think the fact that Roots of Pacha doesn't have combat makes me want to get it more! I don't like combat in my cozy games, unless it's turn-based like Ooblets. I don't like any real-time aspects in video games due to my slow reflexes, so fishing is also challenging for me unless it's very simple.
I wish I had waited on Fae Farm for a sale because it was so broken at the beginning and the time was way too fast. I'll get back to it, but I'm waiting for them to stop time in all menus, decorating still wastes too much time, and hopefully give the option to slow down time as well. Wylde Flowers spoiled me on how much control I had over the time. But I am happy the first Fae Farm DLC was announced. Now I'm seeing more value from how much I paid for the game.

Roots of Pacha did look like a cool game, but the no combat is definitely a disappointment. If it goes on sale I MIGHT pick it up, but that one will probably be a skip for me.

Pixel cafe has potential but it is BRUTALLY HARD and NOT COZY at all hahah. especially on the third place. They should have a difficulty setting because it is absurd

Combat is a deal breaker for me in any game. I simply can’t handle it. That being said, I agree that it would round out Pacha well, but I might try out the game now knowing it doesn’t.
spirittea is my jam right now and I’m having fun with the bath house but the mini-games aren’t my favorite.
I got my PC version Fae Farm when it’s on sale (when the Asia edition is cancelled), totally worth it. I love the graphics so much and still in the midst of finishing the main story.
I’d skip the DLC though, not a fans of frog.

I played the demo of dave the diver and didnt like it. It felt like id get boring quickly. Im not paying more than like 8 bucks

Personally I don’t like combat in farming games. I really liked how far farm did it so I didn’t have to do it.
I appreciate your comments but have to disagree on Fae Farm. While it is well made and has some great quality of life aspects I do not feel it is worth the high price tag. With no real npc dialogue and interactions, the different zones you open felt too similar and became a wash, rinse and repeat. I think those who like to decorate might get more out of it than I did because I don't enjoy decorating. But I lost interest way too soon for the money I paid.

I really liked Roots of Pacha and was hyped for it, but then I grew bored of it. The mechanics do not appeal to me and it just feels like a generic farming game. I love farming games, but I do not know why, I just feel bored with it. Maybe because I did not find much of a goal in the game? There were achievements, but I do not feel like there was a big main story goal. It felt more like a side goal...
Started to play Hogwarts leagacy and its not that bad with the graphics. Absolutely not so crisp as on other consoles but i like it on the switch.
You’re definitely right about roots of pacha lacking combat. What a missed opportunity! It would’ve been so awesome to go like mammoth hunting and totally slay a mammoth or something. That being said I totally freaking suck at combat so who am I to suggest that lol

Dawn of Man on PC is a realistic version of Roots of Pacha and more dark but it does start at the primitive era and you can hunt Mammoths with your villagers. It’s single player though.
Not sure if Ark Survival Evolved is kind of similar to the multiplayer aspect?
