Your GTR is clutch bro, love it. I've been seeing a couple driving around in my area around Washington. Good to see these beasts rolling around state-side!!!
Back in the day the R34 was made Japanese manufacturers had an 'agreement' (which I think was enforced by the government) that they would not exceed 206kw so literally all performance cars of the same era miraculously had the same 206kw.
Dynapack tend to be 10-15% higher output readings than dynojets. Dynojets are more common and are the industry standard using an intertia roller rather than hydraulic resistance like the dynapack. I'd like to see the numbers on a dynojet.
Even if its a over reporting Dynopack thats still probably like 360+ brake hp. I always figure the most fun power to weight is roughly in the 1/10 hp per lb range, and imo better read as 0.1 lb per hp (i prefer this latter way its just more straight to point with comparisons, wwii aircraft version) so its right on the money.

I mean there was a "gentleman's agreement" between Japanese manufactures that said they would only put out sports cars with a max of 276hp or so ON PAPER lol.
@the_r34_gtr these are the Skylines I like the most but I'd own almost any one. I'm working on an 87' Monte Carlo SS right now. Still need to do floor pans then I can stick my interior in.
@@the_r34_gtrI’m glad you mentioned what you did so it was only rear wheel. I was thinking the same as everyone else when I first say it…. I was like wait a min 😂

They weren’t allowed into the US because of the 25 year rule. A. American car companies were being cannibalized by the objectively better imports in the 1980s and went into full protectionist mode when the 25 year rule came into effect. It had nothing to do with how fast the GT-R was. B. Different countries have different emissions and safety regulations. Therefore, it was difficult-if not impossible-to adapt the R34 Skyline lineup to US regulations.
it’s very simple to look and see. These cars aren’t like today’s cars. You can’t tune these ECU’s, and all parts are OEM on it, so there’s nothing that was done
Loved my R32. Love your R34
Right on!
love the content though man love to see us enthusiasts enjoying these legendary cars- i have same spec car as you actually love it!
Wooot woot!!

Appreciate it!!
Looks like the boost pill has been removed with that boost, the boost pill is what regulated the gentleman’s power agreement of 276
11 psi is stock boost, no pill removed
The agreement is that the big Japanese car companies would not advertise that the cars had more than 276hp but they all did!

Stock power is good enough already. You have the c8 for high hp. Good to have a car in a few different hp range
👏🏾🙌🏾
Iv allways thought they made around 330 hp but 350 hp is impressive as heck

Nissan didn't lie.... The Japanese agreement lied.

Less power losses when remove 4vd and use only 2vd
Maybe

You gotta get rid of that temp tag asap! lol You leaving it stock or you have plans for it?
lol I know right….keeping it stock power

You should!
Maaaaaany years ago we found
310hp Ish
Orginal
Huh
350 HP is a great number for a stock sports car.
Exactly!
😂thats 40 years ole
An yes 350. Do awd dyno. Look about 280

Did u remove front drive shaft to dyno it?
Disconnected it yes
Japan gas from the pump is 100 octane… 101 closer to 91…
Japan fuel is around 95-98 range

why not dyno as awd and factor in drivetrain loss...
Or needed, the car is RWD dominant
Would dynoing on an all wheel drive dyno give different number…
Nightly a few hp less

Try to awd dyno it on a mustang dyno
Will be 280

Does this car run aftermarket differentials, stock r34 gtr usually 3.545:1 diff ratios
Stock gears
Let’s make all our cars 276bhp…..to which Nissan replied, let’s agree to disagree. 👀😂
Lmao
He said 5th gear is 1:1?? I’ve always thought it was 4th was 1:1
Normally that is the case for 5 speed boxes. 6 speed boxes are usually 5th gear for 1:1

It's called gentleman's agreement, the Japanese made up low numbers for gtrs and evo's so they could sell it on the US market 😂😂😂

350 crank hp is about 280 wheel hp
I’m not sure if you watched the video, but I put the car on a Dyno, to find the HP to the hub…not the crank bub
