This video was made in 2014 with footage recorded from Wii Virtual Console, and the production was limited compared to what I can do today. Someday (likely the late 2020s after burnout), Exo, it would be epic if you got to review live-action remakes and give most of them (re: the post-2013 Disney remakes like The Lion King and Mulan, The Last Airbender, the Bayformers sextology with the exceptions of Age of Extinction and especially Bumblebee, the live-action Peter Rabbit and The Smurfs duologies by Sony Pictures Animation, Dragonball Evolution, Bratz the Movie, the Inspector Gadget duology, the Alvin and the Chipminks tetralogy especially Chipwrecked and to the least extent The Road Chip, Jem and the Holograms, the Scooby-Doo duology or trilogy if counting The Mystery Begins, Mr. Magoo and etc)
There's also another thing that I learned: apparently, there's a sequel to Megaman and Bass on the Wonderswan in Japan. Since I know your opinions on Megaman and Bass, I thought that you would find this interesting. Also, there are now Switch remakes of Sonic 1 and 2 made by a company called M2.

Maybe next time, when ExoParadigmGamer does more Mini Reviews, it could be those on the Sonic Advance trilogy (or tetralogy if counting Battle) and Sonic Rush duology (or trilogy if counting Sonic Colours DS). Hopefully that will happen.
Think about it, doesn't it feel so much better going through everything in one go and feeling the tension from the increased risk of having wasted your time increase into a climax as you knock out the final boss and get the big whammy satisfaction feels discharge? That's retro gaming!
That's a huge part of old games but people now don't want any real challenge or consequences. They want to power through a game as fast as possible and move onto the next one.
@dangerrik koolman It's really not hard and the good ending isn't really necessary to do. A time trial mode for replaying specific stages is nice to have in future ports and other QOL stuff like that of course. But Sonic games are built on replay value, a majority of the appeal is replaying the levels as you get better at them anyway. Point is within a single hour of playing the game you'd already know how to get tons of extra lives while also slamming through the first few worlds in a matter of minutes anyway. A game as long and dragged out as sonic 3 with no save system would be a genuine issue. A 30 minute long game built entirely on the appeal of getting better at it not having a save system is only beneficial to it.
@@PoefredNot really. The problem is that for casual players, a lot of retro games boil down to strict trial and error. Theoretically you could do really well, but 90% of the time a new player is going to die to something trivial, then keep trying to get back to that one part but making dumb mistakes on the way there and die from something else. I used to play retro sonic back in the day, and that's exactly how it went. Limited Continues only work as an option if it is easy to keep yourself from losing it all, but the video game market back then was much different: the goal was to make the game difficult enough to keep them playing.
i do wish that they would implement vector blur i.e. realistic, mathematically-computed motion blur , not just ghosting frames, into a classic Sonic remake for a powerful modern platform... that would be quite a treat

Good review, always enjoy how younger audiences look back at the titles. Being 41 now I was the original target audience for this title back in the day and Sonic just spoke to me back then. Regarding what some of the "questionable" decisions Sega made with classic Sonic ie lives I think a lot of those choices came from Sega being an arcade manufacturer which also included the original Sonic the hedgehog and just porting them to consoles.
10:20 ..It's not a soundfont, there's an FM synth in the MD called YM2612. Many games also use the built in SMS sound chip for extra harmonies or sfx. The YM2612 has the option for up to 4 sample channels via software but it's not the same quality as on SNES; a couple of better examples of more sample heavy music are Skitchin' and Toy Story. It's true the Sonic games and Sega games in general were less forgiving to new players, but otoh you don't have a slew of boring levels in the early game to get through next time you play it.
I'm really hoping that when Sonic Origins comes out, assuming Sonic 3 and Knuckles does infact get a proper remake like the other 3 games (as it seems to be so given Whitehead's tweets), that you'll come back with a new video to cover it like these games. Really like this video, even 5 years later!
I'd love to see that. Still waiting for that Christian "Taxman" Whitehead Sonic 3 & Knuckles enhance port. I hope he does it. I don't know why he hasn't.
the fact that I just find this channel today with the crazy amount of time I spend on TH-cam and the kinds of content I watch is proof that the TH-cam algorithms suck. Just watched all the Mario videos and now I'm starting sonic, great concept and great videos.
*My Sonic 1 ROR,* reuploaded in slightly higher quality. *No more footage ghosting!* No, I was too lazy to change anything else. I rendered these back during the original marathon and don't have the raw project file any more. Enjoy.
Because I rendered this and Sonic 2 back when I did have the file. By that point, though, I had already uploaded and released the original video. I didn't want to sabotage the original, so I decided to sit on it until I felt like releasing it.
Ya know Exo I'm surprise you haven't did a review for the master system/gamegear versions yet. Just saying this as well, but if your looking a way to record those ones Sonic Adventure Dx has them. Be cool, wild, and groovy now :).
With the save state for PS2/XB/PS3/XB360 and XBONE/Series X Backward Compatibility Mode making all classic sonic games more forgivable and also the special stages (excluding sonic cd: HD Remastered Edition - auto-save all stages, acts and special stages) 😎
I'm a fan who kind of loves all Sonic games for the most part. I grew up with the classics back in the 90's when I was a kid, so you'd think I'd be a die-hard Classicist, but that's just not the case. My favorite games in the series are Sonic 1, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Triple Trouble, Tails' Adventure, Sonic R, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Rush, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Generations, Sonic Lost World, Sonic Mania, and Sonic Forces. I also fully agree with Exo on difficulty and special stages.
So funny to come back to a time where Sonic Colors was being hailed as the best Sonic game in years Only for modern day to look back and say "Actually it was kinda meh..."
Maybe re-ordering the zones could have improved things? Starlight -> Green Hill -> Spring Yard -> Marble -> Labyrinth -> Scrap Brain? Or giving the player the option to complete zones in any order they wish?
I would say I'm the ultimate mixture of your three branches of Sonic Fans, as I love nearly every Sonic game I've played, getting enjoyment from even the "weaker" games of the franchise. I might have more Dreamcastian showing in me thanks to Sonic Adventure 2: Battle being my favorite Sonic game and 4th favorite game of all time, but I still am genuinely excited for each new Sonic game and Sonic has never tended to disappoint me. Hell the only game I've played that I absolutely hated was Sonic Labyrinth with some of the most notorious titles being decent in my eyes (I love Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic '06's rushed status never hit me too much when I play it.). I felt Sonic Boom was alright, but nothing too spectacular either, pretty much a solid play once and never really look at it again from lack of interest kind of deal (I wasn't hit with those notorious game breaking bugs like my playthrough of Sonic '06 either so I just am probably a really lucky individual).
One thing I find annoying with the Android Remakes is that they not only kick you back to the title screen after a game over, but they also save your lives counter everytime you die. This means that if you get a game over, you'll always start with ONE life, and every single death requires you to go through the menus, select your file and go through the entire stage all over again. This may not SOUND too annoying, but it becomes VERY annoying in some stages. Like Labyrynth Zone act 3, Scrap Brain Zone act 3 and Starlight Zone act 3. Some might say that refilling the lives counter to 3 or to whatever previous number it was might have made the game too easy, but that's why the "No Save" mode is there. The save option is for those who want to avoid frustration and to be able to relax and enjoy the game without much fear of losing progress. And even then, they DEFINITELY didn't need to kick you back to the title screen. Even if they only started you with one life, couldn't they at least restart the level immediatelly? This isn't a game breaking issue, and I still managed to beat Sonic 1, but the title screen thing becomes really annoying and genuinely puts me off from playing.
I have a question. Do you think those who just hate on Sonic, but aren't in the fanbase itself fall under the non fan category? Because when I think of people who are either ambivalent about Sonic or are some of the loudest & most hateful actors in the community, fans of other franchises (mainly Nintendo ones) are ones that usually come to mind. I'm not sure if it does for you though. I was just curious.
The mobile version would be the definitive version, if it wasn't mobile-only and in widescreen. Widescreen is the big point here. No 4:3 option=no buy.
I guess I view widescreen as inherently better than fullscreen. After all, the human eyes are designed to view things on a horizontal plane. Cramming everything into a little square (almost a square) just feels awkward to me when I could be using the whole screen (I'm one of those weirdoes who stretches 4:3 games on sixth gen consoles). Then again, I suppose there's no reason not to have the option to play the game in 4:3 for those who want it, so I suppose you've got a point there.
You said it's re-uploaded in higher quality. The only improvement is no ghosting footage and that's it. The Japanese version of Sonic 1 on Genesis/Mega drive has some graphical advancements over the American version like line scroll effects for clouds and water. Also, the video isn't in 60fps, it's still 30 when the mobile version is 60..
It could have been worse; Lybranith Zone could have been the second zone of the game; like what the developers had originally intended (they actually changed the placement of the zone because they realized how hard the level was).
+BetaComparison5 Not true at all. The Beta Version of Sonic 1(Dated March 1991) only had 2 differences in Zones, Scrap Brain Zone & Spring Yard Zone had different layout, different moniker(Clock Work Zone and Sparkling Zone), different unreleased Track and only 2 Zones with maze design differences, Marble Zone Act 3 and Clockwork Zone Act 2/Scrap Brain Zone. Sonic 1's Beta also did not have "Final Zone", instead it had a completely separate new final Stage called "Dust Hill Zone" that was cut from the Final version of the game to make room for Star Light Zone.
Honestly, I couldn't imagine beating this game in the original genesis version. Labirynth Zone Act 3 and Scrap Brain Zone Act 3 are both brutal slogs. This game would still be brutally hard if it had a password feature and unlimited continues at the start of every zone with 3 lives. It definitely didn't need limited continues. Also, couldn't they put a level select screen during the regular campaign, where the player can choose to replay any previous zone at any time? And exit the current zone and go back to the level select screen from the pause menu? Even if it required you to beat an entire zone on a single continue before saving, it would still be a lot friendlier.
Look, I've been referring to them as Dr. Robotnik, Princess Toadstool and King Koopa because it's what I grew up with, and sounds way cooler. Though I wouldn't go so far as to be upset at them being referred to anything else because that's silly. Likewise I go with Princess Rosetta cuz cooler. Tho "Rosie" is also cute so yeha.
My favourite Sonic game is Sonic 3K, but the rest of my top 5 is full of Dreamcast and Modern games. Although I do love the classics! I also think Sonic 06 is okay, and Sonic Boom is only a little below mediocre. I love every era, including the dark age! :D
My favourite Sonic games are Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic Mania and Sonic Generations (in that exact order). So, what kind of fan am I?
I agree with a lot of your criticisms, but not with this comment on the special stages (22:44) - "There's no skill to these things, just pure dumb luck". This is just categorically false. There absolutely is skill involved in judging the rotation of the environment and whether your own speed/momentum will take you where you want to go; if you just want to mash your way through to the emerald you will have a bad time but it's your own fault rather than the stage's.
Genesis Sonic is more good than not, but ExoParadigmGamer’s explanations to why the iOS/Android versions in his Remake or Rebreaks on those games are just too accurate that they are indeed the greatest versions!
I don't care how many people are going to complain to me: All the Sonic games I've played as of September 1, 2016. And my opinions: Sonic the Hedgehog: 4/10 Sonic the Hedgehog 2: 5/10 Sonic Spinball: 5/10 Sonic 3: 6/10 Sonic and Knuckles: 6/10 Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine: 4/10 Sonic 3D Blast: 5/10 Sonic R: 6/10 Sonic Heroes: 8/10 Shadow the Hedgehog: 8/10 Sonic Rush: 7/10 Sonic '06: 5/10 Sonic Genesis: 2/10 Sonic and the Secret Rings: 4/10 Sonic and the Secret Shuffle (Party Mode from Secret Rings): 6/10 Sonic Unleashed: 10/10 Sonic and the Black Knight: 8/10 Sonic Colors (DS): 8/10 Sonic Generations: 8/10 Sonic Generations (3DS): 6/10 Sonic Lost World: 7/10 Sonic Lost World (3DS): 5/10 Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal: 6/10
As someone who generally agrees with a lot of this list I don't see how sonic 2 is only a 5 when heroes and shadow suffer from supposed issues 2 has significantly more.
How so? Did you even *watch* his video and note all the improvements the mobile port made? I'm all for people preferring the Genesis/Mega Drive version, but saying it's "way better" than the T&S port? That's going a bit too far, especially with all the huge improvements made to the T&S port.
Moku I even have this port and my opinion is still same. Right, some improvements are good, such as less glitches and save feature and engine changes, but if you know about personal opinion, you must see somebody's another feelings. You don't see anything like this then your comment are out of case, sorry but Genesis/Mega Drive is nostalgic and different version can't copy this feeling during playing on 16-bit hardware.
+Sonic1994PL How about if i underclocked your phone so that you got occasional authentic lag spikes? Although i suppose that was more of a problem for Sonic 3 than any of the other games.
I don't like all of the Dark Age titles, -AKA Fuck Secret Rings-, but I did kinda enjoy Black Knight, and I somehow seriously really like Sonic Next Gen, probably because I ignored the story and didn't encounter many glitches.
Now I'm wondering; would Sonic Mania count as a classic or a modern game? I mean, it's a modern game with classic gameplay and style. Which way will fans consider it?
I think the special stages are the literal definition of trial and error, and show the rest of the game just flat out isn't. The special stages are impossible without memorization. But people just want to blast through at 200 miles an hour in a level they've never played before and wonder why things don't go their way. The game clearly wasn't made to be rushed through mindlessly, it was made to reward getting good at it. You mindlessly rush ahead and you'll likely fall down to a lower path where going fast is not only harder, but not encouraged. You reach a higher path and it rewards you for actually thinking while playing the game. The only thing I can agree with is the special stages are among the worst in the series...Though them being trial and error is less frustrating due to the huge amount of attempts you have. You can get all 7 before even getting to chemical plant. If you're actually getting hit that frequently in the earlier levels despite trying to build up 50 rings and hitting one of the MANY checkpoints in every level, you're just not being careful at all. In the later levels it gets harder sure but that's how games work. I love a lot of the modern games but trying to play sonic 2 like unleashed and wondering why it's not working is ridiculous. Also why lost world's trial and error portions are bad is because the mechanics are underdeveloped and unexplained on top of being misused. Sonic 2 is significantly easier to understand immediately so dying is often due to lack of patience and skill rather than a mechanic being different than literally every single other game in the series. Also just saying adventure 2 is significantly worse about bad enemy placement, and it's actually a huge problem there in the mech hunting stages because you have a health bar instead of rings. And they're not specifically placed for a reason either like I'd say a lot of sonic 2 enemies are. They literally just spawn in on top of you.
I refer to the SNES Sound over Genesis, But, That’s was a major unfair, the truth is, The SNES Sound Font Is not good at all, i think the Symphony Robotnic Part of the Genesis is my favourite part, including the Legendary Thunder Force 4,
I suppose I didn't. I guess I thought it was more important to show that the story presentation was acceptable for its time than to get into the nitty gritty of character and whatnot.
11:08 What about Sonic 3 and knuckles? I thought the music in that game had better music than Sonic Adventure, in my opinion, but Sonic Adventure's music is still pretty good, but I still prefer Sonic 3's music.
I've enjoyed just about every Sonic game I've played, to at least some degree. Well... except Sonic Drift. Screw that one. I've never played the supposedly horrible Sonic Boom one for Wii U, and never owned Sonic 06 so I can't give a real opinion on that one.
Sonic Boom on Wii U.Well, it's a spin-off game. You might like or hate the new character design and personnalities and the story, but know that most of the glitches were fixed in an update patch.
I like all sonic games. I own colors. I beat advance 3. I love heroes. I love the classics. I beat sonic 1 and 2. I just think they’re fun. I don’t care about statistics
My first time hearing someone pronounce it as i-os. Never knew anyone pronounced the operating system like that, but his pronunciation, sounds good and easy as an alternate pronunciation.
i enjoy the new games i like the boost gameplay to bad sonic team took so long to make levels around it properly thats kinda what made the sonic levels in unleashed hell

I was about to comment where were these video at.
Fun fact: in Sonic 1 and 2 you can maintain control after the goal sign if you keep jumping while it spins.
In the console version of Sonic Generations, you can buy infinite continues for Sonic 1 (the Mega Drive)
I always viewed the characters calling him Eggman as a purposely meant insult.
I like how in the beginning you used “bridge” from sonic 1 game gear.
Yes
I love and will always love the Star Light Zone theme.

Well, Nes games & Snes games are not or less forgiving for me, i play Super Mario Bros for the first time, until i was suck at it.
16:18 if you get a game over in Mario 1, hold A and press start at the title screen to start at the beginning of the world you died in
I'm really hoping that when Sonic Origins comes out, assuming Sonic 3 and Knuckles does infact get a proper remake like the other 3 games (as it seems to be so given Whitehead's tweets), that you'll come back with a new video to cover it like these games. Really like this video, even 5 years later!
Um… yeah… about that…
I love the music to Labyrinth zone!!! That rhythm! XD
Great review. Convinced me to buy the game. It's pretty good and I absolutely hate the Special Stages too
at least we got mania now.
they should remake sonic 3
I don't get why they won't :(
Better way to make sonic&knuckles
Maybe that hard to make s3
Tye music drum is different as sonic 1 2
I'd love to see that. Still waiting for that Christian "Taxman" Whitehead Sonic 3 & Knuckles enhance port. I hope he does it. I don't know why he hasn't.
Goku & Knuckles
the fact that I just find this channel today with the crazy amount of time I spend on TH-cam and the kinds of content I watch is proof that the TH-cam algorithms suck. Just watched all the Mario videos and now I'm starting sonic, great concept and great videos.
26:25 Best part of the video.
*My Sonic 1 ROR,* reuploaded in slightly higher quality. *No more footage ghosting!* No, I was too lazy to change anything else. I rendered these back during the original marathon and don't have the raw project file any more. Enjoy.
+ExoParadigmGamer Oh. I didn't even notice the ghosting TBH
How can you upload higher quality videos without the original project file (and all the assets)? I'm curious...
+ExoParadigmGamer I...OS?
With the save state for PS2/XB/PS3/XB360 and XBONE/Series X Backward Compatibility Mode making all classic sonic games more forgivable and also the special stages (excluding sonic cd: HD Remastered Edition - auto-save all stages, acts and special stages) 😎
You forgot the ultimists. This is the rarest breed of sonic fans. These ultimists are all sonic fans breeds combined.
Does anyone know why after I beat the game on Sonic 1 remastered, it doesn't offer the level select?
BlueCorp thats only on no save mode. You can't use level select in your normal playthroughs
From what I know, the game only gives you a level select after you've finished it, so you can go back and get Chaos Emeralds.
Sonic 1, 2, and CD are now free on the Google Play Store
I think all sonic eras have good and bad games and can enjoy games from all sonic eras
So funny to come back to a time where Sonic Colors was being hailed as the best Sonic game in years
Only for modern day to look back and say "Actually it was kinda meh..."
Colors is overhated IMO. I enjoy the “2D block platforming”.
@@superluigi018 Everyone is pulling an SA2 with it
Once loved, then turned on a few years later
@@littleguystar I hope Colors Ultimate reminds people why they liked it.
@@superluigi018 It didn't...
@@oliverafton1444 I think it’s pretty solid, the graphics issues are unfortunate but the gameplay holds up
dude the sonic adventure games were awesome
I feel like the dark age ended in 2008 with Sonic Unleashed.
me too
I SEE IT I SEE NOW I'VE NEVER FELT SO FREE ENDLESS POSIBILITES MONDERNS AMAZING WEREHOGS OK TO GREAT 8/10 SAVED SONIC FROM DARK AGE
Just waiting for sonic origins remake or rebreak
This is why I was able to 100% the mobile version of Sonic 1
26:20 I laughed and laughed you are a great comedian
Maybe re-ordering the zones could have improved things?
Starlight -> Green Hill -> Spring Yard -> Marble -> Labyrinth -> Scrap Brain?
Or giving the player the option to complete zones in any order they wish?
Mega Hog
No, no, no, no! Green Hill zone should come first
What do you think of the announcement of Sonic Mania?
Even though I'm a Classicist and a Modernist... I'm leaning more towards Modern Sonic games.
The mobile version adds the one feature that made Super Mario World better than Sonic back in the day: a save feature that saves special progress.
I dont understand how more modern sonics are supposedly ‘better proportioned’ when they have such ridiculously huge hands and feet…
He meant slim femboy looks _faster_ than Big Chungus.
The hands were only an issue with the newer models.
Besides that, the proportion fit better for a character meant to be a speedster.
And now we have Sonic forever fan port of mobile version to pc. Which is the best way to play Sonic 1.
Lost worlds is my favorite 3d sonic game... don't judge me...
+SENzA It's also my favorite as well.
its underrated
I won't it's pretty good not my favorite but still I respect your opinion
Not that it's important, but I just noticed this was uploaded on my birthday
Dude wow, I 100 percent agree with you these old 2d sonic games. Your videos are amazing :)
I was just curious.
awesome pingas special stage footage there ;)
The mobile version would be the definitive version, if it wasn't mobile-only and in widescreen.
+ExoParadigmGamer I honestly feel as if the Dark-age Era of Sonic ended when Sonic Unleashed came out.
you can get it on Amazon tv
What kind of fan am I, You might ask? A True Fan. I think all the Sonic games are good. Even the Dark Age games like The Secret Rings and Sonic '06.
My opinion of Sonic '06 changed. It's terrible, but great at glitching, and I love me some glitches.
The only games I dislike are the boost2win, partially cuz they're too easy, but mainly because I can't play as Amy Rose.
Sonic 1 IOS is FREE NOW!! HELL YEAH! XD
So shadow review when?
I agree with a lot of your criticisms, but not with this comment on the special stages (22:44) - "There's no skill to these things, just pure dumb luck". This is just categorically false. There absolutely is skill involved in judging the rotation of the environment and whether your own speed/momentum will take you where you want to go; if you just want to mash your way through to the emerald you will have a bad time but it's your own fault rather than the stage's.
Agreed you have to take your time and think like with any game
I am a True Fan, Sonic has been good in all the games he has, including Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom.
I would agree with a Replace, but there's one fatal flaw. *Mobile exculvive!* Console port when?
2022 with Sonic Origins.

Genesis sonic is the best, hands down. Gameplay and music.
Genesis Sonic is more good than not, but ExoParadigmGamer’s explanations to why the iOS/Android versions in his Remake or Rebreaks on those games are just too accurate that they are indeed the greatest versions!
@@kieranstark7213 they make the game more accessible for sure. much easier to play through for sure.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2: 5/10
Sonic Spinball: 5/10
Sonic 3: 6/10
Sonic and Knuckles: 6/10
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine: 4/10
Sonic 3D Blast: 5/10
Sonic R: 6/10
Sonic Heroes: 8/10
Shadow the Hedgehog: 8/10
Sonic Rush: 7/10
Sonic '06: 5/10
Sonic Genesis: 2/10
Sonic and the Secret Rings: 4/10
Sonic and the Secret Shuffle (Party Mode from Secret Rings): 6/10
Sonic Unleashed: 10/10
Sonic and the Black Knight: 8/10
Sonic Colors (DS): 8/10
Sonic Generations: 8/10
Sonic Generations (3DS): 6/10
Sonic Lost World: 7/10
Sonic Lost World (3DS): 5/10
Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal: 6/10
As someone who generally agrees with a lot of this list I don't see how sonic 2 is only a 5 when heroes and shadow suffer from supposed issues 2 has significantly more.
Brandon Network Giving Sonic 3K the same score as Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal should count as a crime
Genesis/Mega Drive version is way better than modern port. It is very retro and this game must be the challenging for 90's :)
Mr. Gamerface lol
How so? Did you even *watch* his video and note all the improvements the mobile port made? I'm all for people preferring the Genesis/Mega Drive version, but saying it's "way better" than the T&S port? That's going a bit too far, especially with all the huge improvements made to the T&S port.
Moku
I even have this port and my opinion is still same.
Labyrinth zone makes me want to shut sonic 1 and play something
SONIC ORIGINS BAYBEEE
Not gonna lie I actually like Sonic 06
I was just waching your mario all stars video
18:24 wow blaming the game, where have I heard that before
I don't like all of the Dark Age titles, -AKA Fuck Secret Rings-, but I did kinda enjoy Black Knight, and I somehow seriously really like Sonic Next Gen, probably because I ignored the story and didn't encounter many glitches.
You might love Project '06. 😇
I very much do 😁
Now I'm wondering; would Sonic Mania count as a classic or a modern game? I mean, it's a modern game with classic gameplay and style. Which way will fans consider it?
Classic game.
People consider it classic, since it has the classic designs, playstyle, and art. The question is: what would sonic 4 classify as?
@@TheChefBoo It's a Modern Sonic game with the Classic style gameplay. Just like the Sonic Advance series.
@@TheBlueTyphoon17 the problem is that you are actually using the classic characters
@@TheChefBoo With the Modern designs.
I think I am the only one who likes the sonic 1 special stage.
Absolutely right.
I agree with your opinion on SA2 and it's terrible enemy placement. And yes, i don't like this game
Am i the only one who cant find this sonic boom video?
I know this comment is several years old but I just found EPG and I can't find the video either.
he took it down
I refer to the SNES Sound over Genesis, But, That’s was a major unfair, the truth is, The SNES Sound Font Is not good at all, i think the Symphony Robotnic Part of the Genesis is my favourite part, including the Legendary Thunder Force 4,
So how would you call someone who likes playing all sonic games 2-D or 3-D
In the Dreamcast era reviews you don't talk about the characters when it comes to their characterization :(
I suppose I didn't. I guess I thought it was more important to show that the story presentation was acceptable for its time than to get into the nitty gritty of character and whatnot.
+ExoParadigmGamer Are you gonna talk about them in the ROR.
Probably not.
ROR higher quality I give it a remeh
11:08 What about Sonic 3 and knuckles? I thought the music in that game had better music than Sonic Adventure, in my opinion, but Sonic Adventure's music is still pretty good, but I still prefer Sonic 3's music.
It blows my mind that you find this game difficult in any way. I was able to beat it my first try, only using a few continues.

What the hell does footage ghosting mean?
+Kevin Synan it means that a video leaves a frame behind on the video creating ghosting... it suppose to create motionblur but it looks horrible.
+MrSoniK Given that TH-cam can now render in 1080p and run at 60fps, wouldn't this barely be noticeable?
