You been watching the wrong videos, this test is not accurate al three tests on each individual rod line shows progressive increase in line resistance, should be a random or equal results!
This is how all tests should be done. No talking. Just straight to it!!!

I personally think the biggest difference between braided and mono is the stretch, mono has stretch, braided does not. In some fishing applications you want stretch, others you do not. I was always told when getting braided line to go at least 10 or 15 lbs higher than what you think you need. I don’t use braided a whole lot, this video was very interesting tho, thanks!

So in a way, in real life, shock loading on the line for some fishes might be significant factor in some cases when people complain that a line breaks. Eg, stretchable mono vs Spectra. (If i am not wrongm, i believe dyneema based lines usually can stretch a wee bit more than spectra based)

I like what you've done here. If your jack screw would have had finer gearing you probably would have been able to better control the pound rating applied and it might would have allowed your breaks to be closer together. But still, nothing but real data. The question being, have you done the same test with other brands? If so, I'd assume you found similar results in that they all exceed their pound test rating.

hmm so 12 lb test is actually around 0.20 mm in diameter instead of 0.10 mm that is stated on the website
it seems so I wish there was a true .10mm line that would hold a true 10 -11 lbs.
This line is really nice especially for the price, you can get 1000m of it (40lbs, 50lbs to like 100lbs) for 30 cad from aliexpress, lasts a while and overall just really great line.

Can you please make check real dia of your line? Because withaut relation between correct dia and power the test is not correct. Usually china line have twice more dia them japanese line.

Do you have test with knots?
my test of Kastking 30lb braid line, lifting lead weight or pulling against scale, resulted in failure and failure as low as just over 9 lbs. All tests the line failed at under 13 lbs.
I'm not good at English.
The strength is weak near the knot.
How are you avoiding this?

Hell thats well over there rated weight and thats no drag so I'd say I could bring and least a 55lb 60lb fish in on my 8ft uglystick catfish rod with the optix 60 reel but I have it lined with 50lb power pro braid and about 20ft 50lb triline big game mono been thinking about stripping the braid off and switching to all mono the cats didn't seem to mind before when I had this cheap 30lb mono line on don't remember the brand but it was way thicker than this 50lb triline big game mono and my it hard to cast looked almost like weedwacker line for only 30lb but i did bring in fish on it it just too bulky and hard to cast so why not go bigger and thinner

Not any rod, you can't use an ultralight rod to catch big fish. You can also catch 50lb fish on 30lb test line. It's how you have your drag set up and how long you fight it. I landed a 50+ lb sturgen on 20lb test line but it took close to 2 hours fighting the fish.

this winter i landed a 25lbs norther pike on 4lb pan fish line and ultralight ice rid, took me 15min on let the fish run a bunch of times but its how you set the drag and avoid jerking the line
There is something wrong with your scale tester!Try 10 times on 30 lbs and let us know if you get to 60 lbs.

Shows me that braided line rating cannot be trusted and are very inaccurate could break your fishing rods not impressed at all. Fail .
