The word respect gets thrown around so much it's lost meaning. These women are in these bars to make the most money they can at any means and guys go there thinking they can take her out the bar scene when she's had hundreds of men already. it's crazy. The last place anyone should be looking for a serious relationship is walking street.
@@TravelGlitch i have respect for my fellow human being but sadly thats what happens in thailand. its purely transcational and the chances of you pulling her out the bar scene successfully is slim imo
I respect the girls they have to make money or starve - Walking street one my favourite spots - just enjoy your self I do not see any point in having a girlfriend if you only visit once or twice per year - I had many chances to have a girlfriend I just keep them as friends
When I was there living on an island I was dating a girl from a big family it was like old fashioned courting.i took her to a club and she was crying I asked what was wrong she said that a guy just approached her thinking she was a prostitute it was so hard as every European thinks every Thai girl is a prostitute...
I knew a lad who had been in touch with a girl for a couple of years. She told him she loved him bla bla bla. So, on my first night in Phuket, I found her. On my second night, I paid her 1500 baht & boom boom. It's all about the money, trust me!
I am Thai-French, but I didn’t grow up in Thailand as a child. However, I have lived there intermittently for 30 years. Even as a Thai national, I was always treated as a foreigner because I am of mixed heritage. I have to show my Thai national ID for them to see I’m legitimate. But in saying that, I have better insight than many of the tourists coming to my country. Of course, there will be exceptions to every rule, but no good Thai girl will ever date a foreigner, unless it’s just to benefit them financially. As far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t exist as I have never seen it myself personally. There are exceptions for those Thais that are living abroad, but they are probably in the same category as me, meaning they are able to sustain themselves without leaching off someone else. On top of that, the mindset is very different. It is the same in Japan or Korea, for example, you would always be seen as a tourist even if you live there for 40 years, such as my father who speaks perfect Thai and even reads Thai, which is very hard. So, to make this short, don’t expect to find a wife material woman. If you fail to satisfy what she needs, she’s going to do what she does best and find someone else to replace what you fail to do. Altogether, just get rid of you like many Filipino women do in the Philippines as an example.
As someone who lived in China for quite a while and travelled extensively in SEA, I agree 100%. If anything, Filipinas seem more willing to at least involve you in their family and friend groups. Maybe there's a bit more competition there and a lot less freelancing, so foreigners are more likely to come with serious intentions. But Thailand, Vietnam, and all of East Asian countries are very closed off. Even if you live there for years, they view their cultures--abit arrogantly--as unique and incomprehensible by outsiders. So, don't expect to be "in with the crowd" there. That said, there are plenty of normal, open-minded, West-focused women, who combine the best of both worlds and will treat you seriously with devotion. Just have to find them. Don't expect to land and find a wife in a month, you're going to have to be coming back or living there for years to figure out which girls are serious about you and not just using you for resources or as a status symbol.
In my circle, my independent friends are willingly to be with non-Thais, in some groups even more than with Thais. And they definitely don't after their partners' money. They seriously upset seeing their potential partners having no financial management skill. It's just that I haven't heard one (successful) story that they met their boyfriends/husbands outside, especially in bars...no matter how expensive that bar is. More often than not they met in dating apps with good reputations, chatting everyday for months on end; or they met in their workplace, or when they lived/studied/worked abroad. Their relationships took time to develop. Doesn't mean there is none happy couple who met in bars, on the street, or on the plane. It's just my friends and I are reluctant to form romantic relationship with strangers that way because there're so many scammers and creepy people. Lastly, from what I witnessed, women I know aren't with foreigners because they aren't comfortable communicating in English. (blame Thailand's English education) They don't want to get out of their comfort zone so they avoid talking with non-Thai speakers, hence they found no mutual interests with the said foreigners. The friendly ones probably had tried and found out that despite so much effort, they could hold conversation for less than 30 minutes...If it was exhausting since the first day, how could one imagine being with the person for long? After all, there are only few to none non-Thais in their circle of acquaintances and workplaces to begin with. However, I think learn some Thais then join some volunteer activities such as at Soi Dog, take art classes, bird watching tours, meet ups etc. that interest them, where they can take time together, probably increase chances of meeting normal girls with serious relationship in mind...
Omg a fellow french thai ! Full blood thai or mixed ? êtes vous un metisse Thai-francais ? Ou issu de parents immigres comme moi? My relatives in thailand are from middle class .They all have plain regular job as civil servants. None of them have any desire to date a foreigner*. They don t want the burden of maintaining the bridge between 2 cultures. My generation, inner circle of friends they all dream about dating a South Korean or Japanese dude. *Edit: a WESTERN foreigner (white, black, middle eastern)
Here's the thing and I'm pretty sure its obvious but sometimes it needs repeating - if you wanna meet a regular Thai girl, don't go to Pattaya. Thailand is a huge country. So WTF would you go there ?? I mean why would any falang go there ? They go for one reason and one reason only, and its not the beach, the temples, the food, the culture (LOL), and most of all its NOT the regular Thai girls.
Although you are correct with Pattaya being the most saturated with freelancers, this is a beautiful city with a lot to offer. I know many people who visit here and live here and don't even bat an eye at the nightlife scene, yet enjoy everything else of this city. If you only know the bars, then we all clearly know what YOU would do if visiting ;)
@@TravelGlitch Agreed. I've been living in Pratamnak for four years. I moved away from Chiang Mai to get away from the yearly smoke pollution. Why Pattaya? It's close enough to date women from BKK, has cleaner air, foreign food, and beaches. I took my last drink in 1995. I did avail myself of freelancers my first few months here, but that gets old. Since then, I've been a serial monogamist.
I lived in Thailand for 8 years there is a saying u can take the girl from the bar but u can't take the bar from the girl.. I tried a few times to take a working girl give her a job in my company the money I earnt was for us the money she earnt was for her family. It never worked. I heard so many times from tourists I met a girl she dose not want my money I just buy food etc like a girlfriend. I would say give it a few weeks and I bet u she says she needs money for her sick gran... I came back in 2007 want to come back out and live soon but sounds like it's changed a lot from what my mates who still live out there say....
Speaking from experience, the malls have many freelancer's. Where do you think girl's go, shopping. The malls are very busy, more so in other countries. I went for coffee every day and it was nice to have women actually say hi and smile. Not like the US
In Thailand I would say at least 20% of the young women have freelancing experience. It is very common. There are not many well paid jobs in Thailand especially for women past a certain age around 30. Most of them are what I call Part Time freelancers. They do it to help pay tuition, books, buy a new dress, help pay a bill, a new phone. They are selective in how they choose their customers. Often times if you a good man to them and treat them well they will take you as a customer and sometimes because of the sexual connection they will become your girlfriend. These girls deep down don't want to be doing that kind of work. They do it because they need the extra income. Not saying this happens every time but it does happen. Thai men in comparison to many foreign men from USA, Canada and even Europe, Australia don't treat women very well. That is part of the reason why Many Thai women look for Western men.
Met my thai wife in a bar! That was 20 years ago! She was 18 and I was 49. She’s fantastic and we have a great marriage! There are some real gems in the bars but most are just pieces of coal. I got lucky. People ask how I handle the fact that she was a working girl and slept with a lot of guys. I just say how many guys you think the girls on dating apps are sleeping with? Ive been with dozens so who am I to judge? She was only 18 so hadn’t been in the bar too long and hadn’t lost her ability to pair bond like most do after a while in the business. That’s far more of an issue than how many partners she’s had in the past. All girls are used cars these days.
8:51 Yes, I do have a story. Spoiler ahead, I got failed to get laid. Saw hot shortie serving meal in the hooters. I was talking about her her and her hair constantly. She was bit shy, but I finally gave me her line ID. I was successfully able to setup a date with her, she appeared. We both went to the Amazon cafe, I asked her to "Come to my crib at night" Def. not a great way to ask, should have said something like "This is how special my space is, feel free to check it out whenever possible". And ever since then she ghosted me..... This taught me on thing.... Don't be too desperate.
I have lived in a large city in North East Thailand since 2021. Most Thai women in non tourst cities are married or in relationships with Thai men it is their culture . Be careful if you think of approaching them in shipping mals or temples as most will not tell you they are married etc..having confirtation with a thai guy is not going to he a,postive outcome for you they will over react to the situation and aggression is very common in that situation However, in Bangkok, there is a much higher percentage of women who are single as they have left provinces to find career and work opportunities and live alone in one of the many condos, etc If you dress smartly, you can talk reasonably. Good thai are in good shape you will find opportunities
The odds of finding a "normal girl" in Thailand is about the same as finding a sabre tooth tiger in the Bronx. Do not go there with that expectation. It ain't gonna happen. Listen to Thai Talk with Dan for the real scoop.
- i like the candles i’d like to buy some. The mall near the Hilton is a good place to meet women- if you’re walking on the street there’s a massage parlor every other block they are really aggressive just like the bar scene I was offered 🐱 all day everyday- If you’re not looking for that, the beaches are really cool and they have café with music, etc.
Hey brother where is that mall in the video I have lots of question in thinking about making Thailand second home couple months of the year where do u recommend goin in you go like the gym and active also like safety and peace but I like to have fun night life is welcomed but like a. Nice safe city with movements thank you
The women who hang around in tourist areas are not considered normal, unless they just work a normal job there. Most thai women would not date a foreigner because of cultural differences. The ones who do, risk being a leftover woman because some day the foreigner will leave and after that they can just look for another foreigner because thai men wont date them anymore. So if want to date a thai woman for a while without serious future plans, you might destroy her future. You also need to be aware that you will have to take care of the whole family if you marry a thai woman. Family means everything for thai people in a way western people could never understand.
If u don't have money, good looking, social skills and are shy, no thailand basic language skills, just go straight to Freelancers and dont waste ur time.
Thai normal girls never make foreign boyfriends without money. Thai culture is not that broad and organized. Do not waste time if you are looking for a real partner for your life.
you need these from ur partner: 1.a career(at least a degree) 2.Have a decent amount of saving. 3.has own a car. 4.her/his own flat(*not living w parents) 5.got a few assets 6.independent(go dutch!)
There's not many normal thai girls in pattaya what would have anything to do with a frang . Reasons, culture differences and there religion. Most are freelance and have normal jobs .get out off pattaya is the best advice if looking for normal thai lady .
I met a few Normal girls or GF material on my first visit to Pattaya but it is not really what I am looking for at the moment - I met these ladies naturally and with just light banter - if I retire there one day part of my plan I will only then consider a Girlfriend
Exactly normal girls have a Thai boyfriend and don't live in Pattaya or Phuket Bangkok would be the best place to find a normal girl just don't go Nana area
Generally speaking, the "Man On Any Girl's Dream" must be: a) handsome, b) rich, c) with big qualifications. Anyone that has 2 out of 3, in any combination, is called "the perfect man". Someone that has only one out of three, must have plenty of it... very rich, extremely handsome, "gifted". If you have nothing of the above, you are doomed - especially in Thailand!
Most educated financially independent thai woman' are simply not interested in a foreigners, why would they be? What can you offer them? Language barriers cultures differences and dating a farlang would be frowned upon in there family and social circle s There are exceptions however most thai woman who are prepared to date a foreigner is money motivated it is not just bar girl's Let me give you an example you would think dating a 50 year accountant in Issan that I dated would be a world away from extortion. , within a month she asked for a 50,000 baht contribution towards her sons university fee's which I i politely refused, when I questioned as to why she asked, her response was "this is what is expected of dating a foreigner.she was actually confused and could not understand as to why i finished the relationship
did meet my gf that live in thailand on tinder been together 2 years i live in sweden, she is 22 i'm 34 i dont drink/party and she don't do any of that to, i stop drinking at age 27years, have been 2summer in thailand did meet her family, cousin and more but i would say not many people on tinder dont drink.
I came to Thailand with my 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa. I only like to drink at night and my limit is two beers if that. You see my dad is Scottish. And my mother is a Native American. Hard liquor makes me very romantic. So I don't do this. Two beers and I'm good. The other thing is that I have never been to a go go bar. I guess I don't have a girlfriend is because I'm having to much fun on my Busa. Bangkok to Koh Samui. Was a blast! I did this alone. I don't like a girl on the back of my Busa because I don't wanna be responsible for another life. But if we got along with each other then maybe after a few month's I would be okay. Now here's the part I have never given away. Because I may have a crazy person who I had dated and now she's trying to break in. Maybe with some mail friend's. So I never take my date to my house until I am sure I want to spend my life with her. Until that day I act like I just arrived and looking for a place. Then I ask if would like come with me? In the evening I pretend to get a call and I tell her my buddy wants his bike. If she wants to come I just say that the back seat is now covered. But that I will be back soon and to enjoy herself. That said I go straight home. And then have a taxi bring me back. And I tell two weeks of fun. It's sad that I have to do this but this is our reality these days...And that my house is a rental and costs $122,000 Baht per month. So I keep my fortress of solitude a big secret. When I am in town with said girl. I wear the T-shirts and the half cut jeans. Tennis shoes or slip on's baseball cap turned the wrong way. And this is my look. Around the house I'm in Taylor made shirts and slacks from James international Bangkok. I guess what I'm trying to say is this. Is what I'm doing okay? Like if I have been with this girl for over 8 months would she get mad finding out that this is the real me? PLUSE. the girls I know back home working in a restaurant make more then $30,000 Baht a month. You should be able to weed out good digger's that always show their true colors. I look at it this way. My girlfriend loves me. She takes care of me. She cleans the house. Goes out and gets whatever we need. And she cooks for me every now and then because I like going out to eat. Pulse she is showing me all around Thailand. So I see no problem with paying her each and every month. Thai girl's also have dreams. Thai girl's also have hopes. $30,000 Baht a month? Doing everything she is doing? And how much we are in love? Been together for three to eight months. And then I bring her into my world? I'm not only her boyfriend but her employer who pays for doing all the things she does. Might be stupid but you know what? I'm going to Heaven with a clear conscience. And that's what matters to me. Bandit.
My opinion is doesn't matter where you're meeting them , even in the mall working at a kiosk, doesn't mean they don't freelance after work .
Correct there all on the game been visiting 24 years.

Bro you my new best friend and favourite channel ❤
When I was there living on an island I was dating a girl from a big family it was like old fashioned courting.i took her to a club and she was crying I asked what was wrong she said that a guy just approached her thinking she was a prostitute it was so hard as every European thinks every Thai girl is a prostitute...
Sad
I knew a lad who had been in touch with a girl for a couple of years. She told him she loved him bla bla bla. So, on my first night in Phuket, I found her. On my second night, I paid her 1500 baht & boom boom. It's all about the money, trust me!
Incredible hahaha
What a g
No surprise.
Absolutely.
Your a good mate !
Good information video
Pro tip... don't care about what is said about you on social media, better yet don't even have social media accounts.... so liberating...
Since then, I've been a serial monogamist.
a difficult subject , well tackled!
Not like the US
I’ve never heard of anyone taking a freelancer off of the street and having a family with them. Seriously
Any other Thai apps that may be good when traveling to Thailand?
We both went to the Amazon cafe, I asked her to "Come to my crib at night"
Def. not a great way to ask, should have said something like "This is how special my space is, feel free to check it out whenever possible".
And ever since then she ghosted me.....
This taught me on thing....
Don't be too desperate.
Wahahahaha you cock blocked yourself mate 😂😂😂
If she's a normal girl, she will think that you only want to have sex with her. Normally she want to know you first and have several date with her.
I have lived in a large city in North East Thailand since 2021. Most Thai women in non tourst cities are married or in relationships with Thai men it is their culture . Be careful if you think of approaching them in shipping mals or temples as most will not tell you they are married etc..having confirtation with a thai guy is not going to he a,postive outcome for you they will over react to the situation and aggression is very common in that situation
However, in Bangkok, there is a much higher percentage of women who are single as they have left provinces to find career and work opportunities and live alone in one of the many condos, etc
If you dress smartly, you can talk reasonably.
Haha. I went to Many Yankees games in South Bronx. A Sabre tooth tiger would be the nicest animal in that jungle.
99% on ThaiFriendly are Freelancers or Bar girls? Wow
Nice safe city with movements thank you
It's Central World. It's actually in the central of Bangkok.
How do you manage to stay so long in Thailand bud ?
Education visa 👍
how much each year to hang onto that?@@TravelGlitch
Micky for the Win❤🎉
If u don't have money, good looking, social skills and are shy, no thailand basic language skills, just go straight to Freelancers and dont waste ur time.
Thai normal girls never make foreign boyfriends without money. Thai culture is not that broad and organized. Do not waste time if you are looking for a real partner for your life.
I get rejected by freelancers, I don't get discouraged...
? why ..they want more than money?
you need these from ur partner:
1.a career(at least a degree)
2.Have a decent amount of saving.
3.has own a car.
4.her/his own flat(*not living w parents)
5.got a few assets
6.independent(go dutch!)
There's not many normal thai girls in pattaya what would have anything to do with a frang . Reasons, culture differences and there religion. Most are freelance and have normal jobs .get out off pattaya is the best advice if looking for normal thai lady .
To be honest Pattaya is going to be one of the hardest places to find a normal girl 😵
I'm not socially awkward but I would do the card thing. Just because I do not want the woman to feel awkward or pressure
Dating guru 😮
Generally speaking, the "Man On Any Girl's Dream" must be:
a) handsome, b) rich, c) with big qualifications.
Anyone that has 2 out of 3, in any combination, is called "the perfect man".
Someone that has only one out of three, must have plenty of it... very rich, extremely handsome, "gifted".
If you have nothing of the above, you are doomed - especially in Thailand!
I was very popular in Thailand with Ladies I treated them very well and kind - I got well rewarded O
If you get paid in US dollar, you are considered Rich by Thai women.
Same rules apply in Thailand as anywhere. You just get better value for your money there compared to the West.
Most educated financially independent thai woman' are simply not interested in a foreigners, why would they be? What can you offer them?
Language barriers cultures differences and dating a farlang would be frowned upon in there family and social circle s
There are exceptions however most thai woman who are prepared to date a foreigner is money motivated it is not just bar girl's
Let me give you an example you would think dating a 50 year accountant in Issan that I dated would be a world away from extortion. , within a month she asked for a 50,000 baht contribution towards her sons university fee's which I i politely refused, when I questioned as to why she asked, her response was "this is what is expected of dating a foreigner.she was actually confused and could not understand as to why i finished the relationship
Just say "Are you working?" and that will save potential embarrassment and loss of face et al.
Micky is pretty based.
First. Take the hat off.
First. Don't tell people how to dress. Stay in your lane.
Where can I meet an ordinary Thai girlfriend ? please let me know

In bars ? No thais are not easy. Its about money..nothing elsr
100%
Bandit.
Nice essay
