Kirkland comes from Alexander Murray. That's how there are all these casks outside of the distilleries themselves. This sounds like it's from The Speyside Distillery. (Drumguish) Murray has Blair Athol 17 and Deanston 17 releases. Deanston would be highland, and they'd be happy to have the Blair Athol name on it. Either it's something that is under NDA (like a Macallan or Glenlivet) or the name wouldn't help, like a Glen Moray, Speyburn, or Speyside. I suspect the latter since it's neither sulfur nor light.
I am enjoying this Kirkland Speyside. I just got one while away in Alberta!! Cheap and pretty good!!
Sounds great. Cheers
Great review as always. This one for me was good but not as good as the 19 and 22 eddiions. Glad you enjoyed.
Totally agree. Thanks again for the donation and Cheers

Yes no doubt Alexander Murray has all sorts of great and agree it's most likely and off profile major name that did not want their name on it. Cheers
Alexander Murray and sons is who blends the Kirkland scotch. I'm so annoyed at what some distilleries are pricing their whisky at.
So very true on Kirkland being Alexander Murray just wish we knew what distillery and yes many prices are terrible now. Cheers
Gotta say, the Kirkland 22 year Single Malt from about 4 or 5 years ago is still my favorite and about $80. Their 23 year old was a letdown for me.
I totally understand and agree that 22yr was amazing. Cheers
