I feel like none of the people commenting this know the full story. These animals are raising most of the money going towards actual conservation. They are bred and maintained healthily, they are given amazing quality lives. Instead of picking off dying populations of lions and sentencing wild prides to death, they're taking a controlled amount from captivity. Cruel?? Somewhat, but far more humane than what could be.

This is called “canned hunting” and it happens in real life. Lions are raised around tourists so they are comfortable with people, and then they are released into a (usually not to big) area to be hunted. They stand no chance.
Unfortunately this practice is supported by the south African government because of the revenue it generates and parks/zoos need the money too. But this is morally and ethically wrong and people who take pictures with wild animals for Instagram are to be blamed.

I think supernatural monsters are worse (real demons or aliens for example).
