The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is to provide a self-sustaining African carnivore sanctuary for the purposes of wild species preservation through education, awareness and funding, especially pertaining to the rapid decline of large carnivores in Africa due to habitat loss, human-predator conflict, unscrupulous hunting, disease and their illegal trade.
To raise awareness, Kevin has now set up his TH-cam Channel 'LionWhispererTV'. The channel is all about raising awareness about not only the declining numbers of lions, but also how this rapid decrease is happening. By watching these videos, you are directly contributing to our scheme of land acquisition.
Kevin captures the majority of his footage on GoPro cameras, allowing the viewer to get as close as possible to the lions.
By doing this, Kevin hopes to give people an insight into the lives of these beautiful creatures and to let them see just what they can do to help. You can nearly touch them.

I spent 2 weeks working on Kevin's sanctuary in March 2018 and got to meet and feed these two beautiful lions....can thoroughly recommend it as an amazing experience....loved all the lions and hyenas and leopards but.George was my favourite....

@@davdagic2114 Google Kevin Richardson Sanctuary and you'll find a link. Very easy, but not inexpensive. It costs to do the volunteer work. But worth every penny, and what isn't spent on taking care of you during your stay goes to caring for the lions, hyenas & leopards! Good luck!👍😎

Omigosh. Georgie as a cub and those incredibly long eyelashes - so much respect and love for him - I know what it is to live disabled - and the Dignity and Courage with which George handles his disabilities is really, really encouraging and heartwarming. He's one special guy❣

I love love love George & Yame! I remember the poor little cubs & how distressed George was after the flight from Spain. He'd been separated from Yame (who acted as his eyes) and had scraped all the skin off of part of his nose to get through the enclosure. Poor Georgie! But he's a fighter and continues on despite his health issues. Brave George!💟Yame has become a gorgeous lion and has a sweet nature. I'm as proud of those lions as if I was their auntie!😄 Thank you, Kevin, for updating us on two of our favorite lions!💟🦁🦁💟

I get bad thoughts about whoever is responsible for the damage done due to them suffering from malnutrition so they could stay small so people would pay to pet them. Just heart breakingly Inhumane

He breaks my heart, Kevin. Thank goodness for you and all you do for them. These two boys especially tho, are so moving, considering where they came from. The ignorance of our species doesn't seem. . . to me anyway... to be dissipating with time, but worsening when it comes to compassion towards life apart from their own. It's so true that the more one learns of other animals, the more difficult it becomes to remain terribly enamoured with their own.
