Very nice! I got a 2023 IS 350 F Sport in June of 2023. I love it and I got the Ultrasonic Mica Blue 2.0 with white interior. It's such a stunning car. I was thinking about IS 500 but didn't find any with the choice I wanted and also it's quite a bit more than 350.

I have always liked the IS 500 Lexus. Starting price of $60,000 is a good price. I would LOVE to own one. I hope Kris gets a lot of use out of this car.
I have a 2018 Lexus and it is now an expensive lemon: Lexus cut support for all gps updates, telematics. Shame on them. You d be a fool to buy a Lexus considering how they don’t give a shit for their customers.
Own a 2023 IS 500 in atomic silver and couldn’t be happier. This car is perfect for daily driving and a joy when you wind out the V8. Looking forward to owning it for years to come!
The first thing that occurs to me with this stunning IS500 is the blue vector color which echoes that RR Ghost you recently reviewed. The blue stitching with the interior really pops. The exhaust note with your on-throttle drive is just perfect! Awesome, Joe. Congrats to Chris for making this purchase.
Absolutely love IS500. I've never owned lexus before so for me design isn't really outdated or even interior, such a head turner for me at least.. The IS500 is the only I would probably get from lexus line up. And obviously RCF
@Evenflow-us1py what does that mean? The most tech I've ever needed were power windows, remote lock, and music is all I need. What more tech is there?
Through it all, this is probably the only new vehicle on the road today that's built right. Thanks for bringing this legend to us Joe!! Happy New Year 🎊🎊🕛
My brother is on his second IS. He had a 250 and now a 2023 350 F Sport and loves them. I rather have daily pure Iron reliability in a Lexus than something thats a bit more powerful and better but unreliable. Its just me and my 42 yr old mind. Lexus reliability and premium is the way for me. Great vid 👍🏽👍🏽
That interior is far superior to the stretched Ipad screens these days. A fantastic combo of performance fun and usability. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
My coworker got that exact same car. Same color. Im very happy for her! It's so cool looking in person. Its a smart choice. You can't beat it for the price and reliability.
Lexus may never rival the likes of Mercedes or BMW in terms of prestige and reputation amongst car enthusiasts, but they will always be that one brand that never sacrificed anything to attain what they've always stood for. LS400 to LFA to LC500 to this, they're just so classy and beautiful.
Lexus is in such a unique position. You have the best-looking exterior in the segment, the last V8 option in the segment, but the oldest interior in the segment. Don't get me wrong, Lexus quality is fantastic. Nothing rattles, nothing tears, or falls apart, but they need to update the screen and the control system to the new RX/TX/NX or even the ES system. These parts are all available working amazingly on other models, but it looks like they want to launch a brand new model for a full redesign soon.
A CD PLAYER ?!?!?!?!? IN 2024 ??? THAT IS AWESOME !!!! I am sad that so many of my CDs have gone to waste because newer vehicles dont include CD players anymore.
Great review and kudos to you for being the first to review the IS500 in Blue Vector. I also ended up buying this exact car (2024 IS 500 Blue Vector) last month and I have to say I was considering this vehicle for the last 6 month. When this colour came into the show room I was sold immediately and pulled the trigger. I think it was in the showroom for only a day. For those of you considering any IS500, these vehicles are hard to come by, especially in this colour (150 units). Prior to this I've owned 3 different BMW's (X5, 335 xdrive, and 435 xdrive) and while they're fun and great looking cars they do cost quite a bit to maintain and have a tendency to find issues. Note, I've never had engine problems with BMW's, it's all the other stuff the goes and cost an arm and leg to fix. The reason why I went with Lexus is because I've also owned a 2006 Lexus RX400H (purchased in 2010) and it's been bulletproof. This vehicle was used primarily as the family hauler and it's currently at 335,000 KM ( 208,000 miles) and has only gone routine maintenance. I bet you it will last another 5 years. In short, if you're comparing a Lexus IS 500 vs M340 or M440 and you're looking for a great daily driver that will be a long term vehicle then I think the IS 500 is the way to go. Yes, the M340 is slightly faster 0-60 but realistically is that why you're buying the car? I personally found the BMW M340 too firm and uncomfortable as a daily driver. And yes, you'll be spending more money on fuel as the IS isn't as fuel efficient. But, you'll be saving way more money with the IS in the long term as you'll be avoiding costly repairs and maintenance at the dealership. Not to mention I bet the IS500 can outlive the life of any BMW.
Manny, I have a question for you about your car's color and term being used calling it Blue Vector. I picked up my IS 500 yesterday and the dealership had it advertised as Blue Vector edition but my Mulrooney calls it Blue Flame and the key fobs had little stickers on them stating Blue Vector. One of the many videos I watched over the last couple weeks had what they called a Blue Vector Edition and it had a plaque between the seat heat\cool buttons on the center console stating the actual build number for the special build. That car with the plaque had a metallic blue paint in a very similar shade as my car which I am calling Blue Flame. My car seems to be what in the Toyota lineup was once used on an older Corolla and the newly released GR Corolla which is not a metallic flake paint job and at this point I am confused what car color I have...
I found the answer to this and I had it wrong. I mixed up the Launch Edition with the plaque and this special release which does not get a plaque. Also, the release is calling this color Blue Vector and the only way you're going to get it is buy one of the 150 or a repaint 😛.
This car is literally perfection imo. It's beautiful, more than adequate performance numbers, and that reliability that Toyota/Lexus is known for. Top 3 cars I'd love to have in my fleet right now
Sure you have to look to find them and there's quicker sedans out there but and a big one. The quality is second to none. These are built at what's called one of Toyota's best factories and the resale value will make you smile. And that 5.0 is perfection.
Nice car & color. I had a ‘21 IS350 FSport but traded it in for a ‘23 GR Supra 3.0 Premium with no regrets. The Supra takes it up a notch in sports car performance and turns heads more. 👍🏼👍🏼
I got myself an Ultra White IS 500, this car is one of it's kind. The last of the Lexus V8s which are naturally aspirated pure clean power and bonus you get an LSD. The engine is so full of character, I wish there were auto mirrors and assisted trunk with real semi-aniline leather seats. Apart from that this is the best of the IS. Perhaps 2024 might be the last model year for this car, get it before it becomes another GS F.
Yes, I was lucky to find my Ultra White IS 500 last April and it is a great overall car considering the four usable seats that fold down along with the usable trunk. I echo the sentiment about auto mirrors but no biggie. At the end of the day, it is a sleeper and great daily driver and can knock out 28mpg at 70 mph on cruise. And all the while cranking a good CD on the stereo. If you ever have to get out of the way, just push the pedal.
The major flaw for more than spirited driving is the transmission, as most owners will complain about. It doesn’t kick down the gears when you step on it, and in Sport+ the paddles do not react fast enough and adds frustration not enjoyment. Less frustrating to allow the tranny so it’s thing. The engine and suspension (AVS) on this are both awesome. We looked at getting this one (2023), but the tranny just took away from it. The tranny is actually a bit more enjoyable in the V6. Since we’re in Canada, we ended up with the AWD F sport. Missed the sound from IS500 V8 test drives, so we added the Lexus sport exhaust which makes the V6 sound really wake up and not have to rely on the sound pipes in through the speakers. Once the warranty is up, there are aftermarket tuning options and add ons to reduce the gap between the IS500 and the V6, and still retain reliability.

The interior is not dated. It is a driver's car, for goodness gracious, yet it is a great daily driver. That's a wonderful design.
I love the way you think !
On what planet is this entire car not outdated. You have got to be kidding.
Very well said, not overdone with expensive repairs that are destined to fail in the future. It's not a dinosaur 🦖, it's tried and true.
Yes the design is dated…..this style has been out since the 14’ models. Some cars started with the same dash style in 13’.
@@dz_gt500The basic car goes back to 2006 and the engine 2008. Dated AF.
Wish it was an actual F model and not a sport model but nothing can go wrong with that sexy sounding NA V8
What a beautiful color, slapped on a beautiful design …. Chefs kiss 🤌
Too bad we don't have them here in Germany. What a beautiful looking and sounding car. Love the color combo.
That is actually terrible
@@RaitisRides it really is. Glad I could see and hear it on your channel. Such a lovely ride.
@@HoarschtiI’m so glad that I can share it with you
@@RaitisRides looking forward to the next rides you will check 🫶🏻
Same situation here in Australia. I have a FBO mod 2008 ISF. Looks like I will be holding onto it for a long time.
Great review as always but that "You Get A Mouth Full of Bulge" had me rolling!! 😂😂😂😅😅 No thanks!!😂😂😅
My favorite quote haha
As a realtor who just bought an IS 350 I can relate to this video a lot good for Chris. I’m gonna have to get one of those one day
Cool review Joe 😎
Thanks Chris fir letting me bring it to you
As a JDM 2006 IS 350 owner, this car is the pinnacle. Just a newer ISF, this thing is V8 perfection. Chris def needs to get on that exhaust mod tho, sounds so quiet
Exhaust modded now ! 😀
Love the car, and the color.
It really fits it well!
As someone who daily’s an IS 200t,I would LOVE to own this 😭. I’m in love with the 500 and corvettes.
It’s literally the exact same car as mine but with a GREAT NA V8
Wow this color is stunning bro
I agree with you!
I remember everybody was the GS fan I still didn’t care for Lexus and then they made the IS and I’ve been a Lexus fan ever since.
If they still offer with a manual transmission, I will be all over it. It great though that they still include a CD player 🙂
Dude love this car so much he’s spitting on the key card to leave his mark.
I love the color 🔥
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one!
Very all round car. A V8 with style, comfort and cherry on top its reliable.
This car will outlast any teslas built in 2040.
You better believe it!
those 5.0 are unkillable.@@RaitisRides
@@alpe6228you better believe it
The red interior on the Lexus is just fine dining
You are spot on about that!
SHEESH THAT IS GORGEOUS!
The blue ads unique character and also safety on the road. This is one of the last great cars.
I totally agree with you!
COACH ~ yes, I'd love to attend the auto shows with you guys this year heehee. Lexus makes quality automobiles - long live ICE. tony
That would be awesome Tony
congrats on your 1 million subscribers !! great show !
I absolutely love this car and would buy one if I were in the market but that exhaust is too quiet. Wish they gave it more grunt from the factory 💀
The IS model has always been my favorite. This one right here is next level!
Best Lexus sedan ever made in my opinion. Stellar design and truly unique with the NA V8. It's too bad they will be mostly unrealistically priced and unaffordable for the mid level consumer. They're making these collectibles at dealerships.
on throttle will always be my favorite part of these videos 🤩🤩🤩🤩 nothing better than hearing those engines scream
That is a nice looking engine compared to most of today's newer cars with giant plastic pieces covering everything!
Love the IS500s!! An amazing car
Beautiful 😍
I totally agree with you!
IS500 and LC 500 that's a dream duo ❤
Thanks Chris nice car
That’s awesome of you to say
Love the review!!!! BUT I just know KRIS saw that spit on his key card and arm rest! Smooth way to wipe it off 😂😂
I saw it without a doubt 😂
Lol😂😂😂
Alright Joe let’s see if this Lexus IS 500 is the winner
I think you are going to like it!
That is true. Personally don’t consider that all bad although there could be updates but won’t happen.
That Blue With 5 Percent Tint Looks Amazing
ON THROTTLE !!
You know it!
One of the prettiest cars on the streets. I confess, I look back in my rear view mirror to look at it while driving my Giulia.
Ten year old Tony is snickering over: “Mouth full of bulge.” 🤦🏽♂️🤣 I freaking love this car,. I’m almost at 23k miles on mine and the honeymoon is still going. 😍 Nice but Kris , you’ll LOVE it! 💙
Definitely, it is, it flies, and that V8 sounds awesome. From that V8, you go straight to the Ghost's V12.
Excellent points.
F stands for functional 😂😂
Heck yeah
I can imagine this one in blue interior just like the c8 corvette it could be nicer than it is now I love it!!
Yes ,keep your blue EV hands off my V-8 engine
I am right there with you Richard!
@@RaitisRides Thx for your great content always 👍
@@richardscott5155of course my friend
This color is insane !! This is one of about 5 cars I got on my list for my next car but I’m not getting another car until 2026 when I finish college a gift to myself
Pause…. Mouth full of what 😂? 4:44
I’ll own one someday 100% if I can find one it’s in my garage hands down! I’ve owned 2 Lexus IS 350 F Sports and they were one of my favorite cars ever owned I can’t imagine it in an NA V8 its hands down the best vehicle on the road for me IMO.
Get the Last of V8, because Biden will try to end these cars. Sad day for america. I would buy up every v8 i could.
It’s not just Biden, it’s the entire WEF. Stop letting the media blame it all on one person. It’s all been socially engineered, and Trump won’t save us either.
Please no politics.
You got that right. And it's not "politics" bro - it's reality. Get a clue.
@@ranthony2714yeah deny reality, keep living in stupid.
Move to the faster future. Gas is so 100 years ago technology.
LOL "On Throttle" just as he's passing the 35mph sign :) - love the IS500. Almost bought one.
I Absolutely love that they are still using a V8
Black headliners are one of those little details that I appreciate…makes me feel cocooned in my man cave. I would even forgo a sunroof (I never open them).
Best 4 door sports sedan out there.
lol @ 14:20 hope u disinfected my mans key card 😂 sweet ride 😍
You crack me ip
i knew I wasn’t the only one that caught that 🤣
