Oh man, I've had trips like that too where important items are left behind...but never a sleeping bag. 🤐 It was so nice to see how you girls shared and improvised with what you had and made the best of everything. Women Rock! We're good at finding solutions and team work. Kudos girls! 💖
Oh my gosh this is such a uplifting video. Things forgotten , things going wrong and your both smiling and happy as can be. We’re all human and forget things but it’s all in how you deal with it and move forward. Awesome video❤️
One thing I read from a book of an old Indian technique is if you are trapped in the cold and not warm enough, is to stuff leaves and debris into cloths for insulation. I know was not cold enough for that, but good thing to know incase it was a hyperthermia situation. Nice carrying the survival blanket and handwarmers with you.
My brother and I stayed on site 5, night 2 of our May long weekend trip this year. (We weren't the ones that moved the fire pit. lol) There was a lot of unnerving animal activity in the forest behind us that evening, but all that digging by the shoreline was absent. Small world!
Cool. It’s a very popular campsite. I was actually quite surprised that it wasn’t booked when we decided to go a couple of days before. We didn’t have much noise at all in the forest. Thanks for checking out the video and for commenting. Cheers!
So happy to see you have a video up Christina , Hi there Jenny .What a nice spot with some shelter in the tree's love it !. Nice job on setting up your tent Jenny.! I know bear flip rocks & move logs looking for bugs , Id ask is there any bear scat around the camp area. if not probably not a bear if no tracks or scat from what i've notice on crown. lol interesting start things happen eh
Thank you so much, Sue. I thought it was Wednesday because I am taking time off work to go on a trip for Canada day weekend and accidentally published it a day early. So surprise! Lol. Thanks for the great comments as usual. Have a great weekend!
Looks like a fun adventure so far, as long as you keep watching out for those bears. We have porcupine that do the same thing while looking for grubs. Looking forward to the next part, be well my friend.
I agree with the bear scat comment - they like to poop everywhere! If you're not seeing it around the campsite anywhere, I'd conclude that at least they're not hanging out.Great "making do" without the regular camping equipment. I got to cowboy camp with a friend last summer, when her tent pole broke and it was super windy. We just bundled up in our bags on the ground in Montana. Had a great night of sleep! Glad to see another video on your channel!
I have quite a few tandem trips on my channel but solo is mostly my jam. I also don’t own a tandem canoe. I own two solo canoes, so that’s generally what I use if I’m going with someone who doesn’t have a tandem. Hope you enjoyed the video. 😊
When I was re-packing the morning of leaving, I was going to put everything inside a garbage bag to protect from rain, then decided against it. Those were the first 3 items I packed, and when I decided against the garbage bag, they got forgotten in the garbage bag. Out of sight, out of mind. Like we said in the video, it was a bad week, and my mind wasn't in the game.

@@jennymckinnon7054 There's always a challenge on canoe trips.
Sometimes I see turtles dig like that . See it Algonquin all the time
Hmmm interesting. No one’s suggested that as yet. Thanks!
Does Jenny have her own TH-cam channel? My wife thinks she read or heard that in one of your videos.
Lol.. no she does not. She has a personal Instagram, but isn’t an influencer.
