:) My friends never understand why I gigling so mutch time with the kick and snare drum... In My case, time to time is eating up around half time then all the rest drum parts. With stock drum kits You never can be sure, is the best sounding kick in Your session. Workstations are excellent tools to find and then modify to the song. Good to see I am not alone with this :) Great clear video! Greetings!
I was trying to follow your tutorial on moxf so I initialized a voice and at the element level chose a category of drums; but I couldn't find the envelope page like in your tutorial around the 2 min. mark. Help! Thanks
is complete trance/progressive production possible in say korg krome without daw, computer and usb interface .im asking because ure very experienced .i want to buy korg krome?
It's most certainly existing already, maybe in a little modified version. But I couldn't give you a song name as in this case it's just an improvisation.
More like "There are thousands of trance songs out there. There most certainly is one that I don't know that has the same chord sequence and a similar melody."
Good post and great efforts. I really like the arrangement at the very end of the video. Was it made by arpeggiators ? Any clue please. Thanks for sharing these stuff
Is there any difference bewteen the s and motif synthesis engine engine . Like all yamaha rompler/sampler products these use the awm2 tone generator . So bassically the s 80 is a moti without the sequnecer
Ward de jager Basically they’re identical. However, the S series has a bigger sample ROM than the Motif equivalent, usually for a more detailled sampled pianos and stuff. So the S series can always load sound banks from the workstations. But backwards compatibility is not always guaranteed. S80 is by the way based on the CS6x, S90 on Motif and S90 ES of course on Motif ES.
I amon the fence for either an S90 es or a motif . Seems that the s90 only has 3 partials pervoice , where as the motif has 8 ..can you confirm this ? Does it also have 18 filter types ( like on my yammie sampler and the motif ) ?
As I said, they're practically identical except for the additional samples. Up to the ES series each voice can contain up to four parts, XS and XF can have eight, no matter if Motif or S90.
+Khriox Recently I took samples that I extracted / isolated from commercial tracks. However, sometimes I layered them just the way I described in the video, by modifying filters and pitch curves.
Very nice and detailed tutorial. I would really appriciate a tutorial about scales, chords and arpeggios in trance.
Always enjoy your videos and the sounds you get out of your synths. Thanks for posting.
Excellent video. This is just the kind of information I wanted to learn about the intricacies of a bass drum make-up.

is the hardware synth give out studio quality audio out of the box if i plug my headphones directly in the synth output jack
Is that cool sequence at the end from something? I might just try to make a song around it, but only if one doesn't already exist.

+JayB Ah. So you've heard something like it before but don't remember the name?

Ah I see, thanks for the quick response :)

+Saif Alsarraj Yes, it's a single arpeggiator that triggers three tracks. :)

simply clever!! thx!
Awesome! I've always wondered how you created those fat kick samples. :b
+Khriox Ironically I haven't used any of these in my tracks except for the Deep Mix of Reverberation.
+JayB Wow really? What have you used before then, vengeance samples or something? I'd have never guessed lol.

+JayB interesting method. I'll have to try this out soon. Thanks for the video!
Creating music look so easy like this yet most fail so hard even with FL Studio, man I feel noobish now :P
Let's extend 130 BPM kick drum for 9 minutes and 38 seconds
