I hate when people classify Meruem and the Royal Guards as B level threats. Are we forgetting the queen had ample time to consume humans (making every Ant more intelligent) and Meruem was fed nen enhanced humans. Meruem is literally the peak of strength in HxH and he only used his Nen ability to get infinity stronger on 4 people (the guard he killed and his 3 royal guards)
People just completely misinterpreted the classifications tbh lol. We have very little information on the Dark Continent but people treat it as if there's just thousands of creatures stronger then Meruem there and if that was the case, no one would've came back alive. The fact Netero survived his expedition to the dark continent yet was barely anything more than an annoyance to Meruem tells me that Meruem and his royal guards would likely be fine in any actual fights on the dark continent, the real danger likely comes from all the weird unknown abilities of the creatures there rather than the actual fighting ability
But that's the thing they are ONLY B level. The clasifications is based on a number of factors that are also ooked at when you observe the entire species and their life cycle, not just fighting power. Humanity would be a C level only even with people like Netero factored in. We are capable of doing some crazy shit but are still only C level with how dangerous we would be to the world. The same way chimera ants are classified as a B calamity even with how broken they are in the later stages. I mean this is a B level extinction level clasification, not just some danger clasification. Meruem is only a B level because his raw strenght could never hold up to anything above B because creatures of that level are a whole tier higher when it comes to how likely they are to kill humanity. Even with nen he could never prepare or make a nen ability to deal with even 10 percent of the things he would see on the DC.
It depends on if Nen users (if you could call them that, given that they're not human) exist in the Dark Continent. That's what made the Chimera Ants a true threat after all, they produced insane Nen users.
Not at all, you could get soldier ants that are the same strength as pre-rose meruem, The dark continent without nen the ants will look like menthuthuyoupi he’s made entirely of non-human parts only having magical beast, parts, The magical beasts on the dark continent have to be way stronger so anything that Ant would eat, will produce guards strong stronger than menthuthuyoupi
Also the magical part of magical beast is just nen The ants could use nen, but not to the refined point that humans could think menthuthuyoupi using manipulation on his own body before learning nen. so what’s your meaning to say is The refinement of nen is nonexistent on the dark continent, which is true as far as we know.
Short answer: No Long answer:What makes the Dark continent isn't the creatures alone but its the diseases and supernatural beings that creep up on you. That's been the main focus of the dark continent so far in the series.
I’ve been working on starting my anime page and tbh bro, I like how informative you are, no gimmicks and bait post like some others do, and you move with integrity. Salutes to you bro bro.
Yea, I dont even think they were sure if the queen even specifically came from the DC. It's not the only place in HxH where humans don't go or haven't colonized yet.
If I had to throw out any guess about the dark continent it would be, besides focus shifting away from Kurapika (whose threads I think will get resolved on the black whale, for better or worse) to Beyond, Ging, and Pariston, somehow Leorio is going to end up on the Dark Continent. The closest thing Leorio ever had to a spotlight arc was the election, where he managed to bulldoze his way into Ging and Pariston 's chess match. DC seems primed for round two, so it feels appropriate Leorio would somehow end up involved again. Moreover, the entire purpose of the expedition is to find something valuable to humanity, though the countries involved seem more focused on profits and power than the well being of humanity. Meanwhile, Leorio has always wanted to be able to help people at heart and that desire is genuine. I think that'd bring something to a DC arc.
"All Guardian Spirit Beasts created from the same Seed Urn are imbued with two primary instinctual rules: they do not kill one another; they do not directly attack a person possessed by a Guardian Spirit Beast." So Tserriednich's Nen beast cannot attack Camilla directly.
Nah man you've over looked a couple things, The nen beasts can't directly attack other princes but Camilla is not a prince so Tserrys nen beast can harm her AND Camillas nen beast isn't one summoned via the seed urn so it is able to be harmed or dealt with
The Meruem Ants are a special case because they are able to use Nen. The consumption of Nen users also made them stronger than normal. The typical CA is like the ones we saw Kite shoot. They aren’t super powerful and are normal ant size. We might end the series with Meruem being top 3 strongest in the verse.
Nen is the main power source alongside biological strength, as humans originated from the Dark Continent where survival for them required Nen. Over time, as they entered a new world with no need for Nen, most people forgot it. However, motivated individuals retained or relearned Nen, while the majority lost it due to lack of necessity and need for it Survival
The answer to what happens after the succession contest is Leorio becomes the main character. They voyage to the dark continent and he finds a cure for his sister's illness.
Isn't that beast of Tserri achieved with the urn? If yes, then no. Tserri is unable go take her out, harm her or anything like that. One of the biggest rule in this succession war arc is the fact that the princes and their beast are unable and should not harm other princes and their nen beasts directly. That's why they got guards that works for them.
Camilla isn't a Prince, shes not in the succession contest so she can very much get the treatment from Tserrys nen beast. Camillas nen beast isnt created via the seen urn either and so doesn't play by the same rules so if Tserry just straight up killed Camilla, Camillas nen beast would kill Tserry and revive Camilla
@@Tom-bi7ir what did you smoke bro? It's not one piece, please follow the story and stop writing nonsense, Camilla is the 2nd prince. Camilla directly shot Benjamin in the head multiple times, and his nen beast did not show up. What's the issue?
Cammila as in the second prince? Unless you are talking about another character named that or I got her name wrong. She can very much use Cat's name (Her nen beast/ability) on other princes, while her guardian spirit beast actively can't hurt other princes.
@@SolidSnake240 true but compare that to actual A class threats. Nanika has straight up wish granting. Another makes people immortal. Even post rose meruem isn’t on that level or even near it imo.
@@tjadams98 Yea that why it's hard to exactly gauge but in terms of just raw power, I think Meruem would fare pretty well against most things. not saying he'd stomp everything cuz how do you fight a disease but I think he could comfortably survive if he knows what he's up against.
@@SolidSnake240 yeah I’d pry agree with that as well. I just think there’s levels. There’s being at the absolute pinnacle of combat system. Then there’s breaking it entirely. Nanika damn near breaks the system (even tho she technically doesn’t nd still obeys nen rules). But yea meruem should fair pretty well against most things.
I think Meruem is yes somewhat special because of his Nen and human blood. He is a rare case because maybe Nen is not common in the Dark Continent or at least it's not something Chimera Ants usually eat. Also his intellect is pretty surprising although he was, in the end, immature. That's also something that may lack in the DC, intellect. Those are some things I personally think Don Freecs has, a pretty strong Nen and a great mind. Mind that made humans such a strong force, in the end. Hopefully, we see this amazing arc unfold.
Assuming the ants in the DC are no later than the Queen we saw, which was apparently a mutation, they are too weak on their own with their simple size and power compared to other creatures
Be really cool if after Kurapika's showdown with the Phantom Troupe and the end of the Succession War, when we arrive at the Dark Continent, like you said Ging, Pariston and Beyond will get a lot of focus but I think it would be sick if Leorio finally came into a more main role again. Like, maybe he's searching for Nitro Rice and the healing herbs to help treat people back in the human world like he always wanted to, but more than he could ever have imagined. And it would be quite the underdog story since he has the least amount of combat experience of the Hunters we've seen. So, maybe he's a late bloomer and his Remote Punch and Ultrasound Hatsu end up being quite powerful or he is able to prove his worth entirely through keeping morale high and everyone alive. We'll see!! Great video👍🏾
You also need to take a minute to think of the opposite. With your wolf example, the dark continent, technically could’ve been dogs because just like in the real world humans almost caused wolves to go extinct and in contrast trained them to be dogs for them to survive so technically ants in the dark continent could be much weaker as maybe they adapted to work with other species to stay alive.
I think not I think they were fodder in the dark continent. Eating human Nen warriors was a huge advantage 2:03 she washed up half dead in human territory
I was going to say the small regular looking Chimera Ant was anime only which it is. However, they describe Chimera Ants in the manga that fit the description of what attacked Killua anyway. If you go by the anime though, its interesting that the first Chimera Ants we see are in Kakin
The queen if you remember in her first apperance was wounded, tired and hungry. Meaning, somewhere from the dark continent, her species where being destroyed.
Wasn't it mentioned that the Queen was a mutation? You're not gonna just casually see ants her size even in the DC. Also the fact that she already had human emotions or something close to them as well as human-like teeth.
I think Chimera Ants in the Dark Continent would be like the first generation we saw, heavily resembling the original animals the Queen could eat back in the start of the arc: No speech, low intelligence and too brute to pose an actual threat to a bigger species. There could even be Dark Continent anteaters or some species that evolved to consume CA's there. I don't think they could even build a skyscraper-sized colony so easily like they did in NGL.
Camilla’s ability is her own nen ability, I think we’re still waiting to see what her nen beast does? That’s why she was so certain of her ability as a nen user when she confronted Prince Benjamin. Love your videos man!
i wouldnt be surprised if ancient humans from the dc made a pact with the guides to have less power but be safe from the horrors of the dark continent by living in relative peace. I also wouldn't be surprised if this is why we both need a guide to get to the dc, and why they send us back with a calamity every dc trip, our ancestors made a vow and if we try to break it we get a taste of what we exchanged our safety for. Maybe the humans from the DC thought if we had enough time in peace we could eventually grow into a species (with nen, studying nen, advancing technology, etc.) that could exist or dominate the DC in the future
I mean, the queen was only able to thrive because she went low key on a remote place. She ran into a perfect set of circumstances on the human world as well. But that's not the point, we're talking about a perfect set of situation in the dark continent as well where would be able to feed on the strongest of creatures. Maybe it's part of human-ran expirement where all the food is probided ready for her. Would we be able to to give birth to a stronger specimen?
I thought that the video is about the new chapter and I was excited, I am not usually in a hurry, but I was really excited, especially since its Arabic version was already out, and I hope that the next chapter will not be that far.
If there was a creature who could rival or surpass Meruem on the Dark Continent, I think Netero would have fought it. Meruem was the opponent Netero had spent his entire life searching for, and he only came into existence by consuming humans. Netero said there was no victory to have on the DC, only survival.
I be down for beyond/Ging to become the main character as we jump between w/e happening on the DC and gon getting his Nen back maybe dealing with Gyro I don't think Kurapika surviving this arc tho same for the spiders Leorio will prob survive tho
I have an embarrassing amount of hours on multiple street fighter games… we’re talking 1000’s lol… and I did not know that meme came from M.Bison who I main 😅. Didn’t expect to learn that on an manganamist HxH video that’s for sure.
Meet potential species the Chimera ants. Oh boy when the queen consumes enough species she'll make something invincible. Oh boy if the queen eats an individual of this dangerous species. Chimera ant Queen always if and when but never is.
The Chimera ants might actually be potential species in the world of hxh they could of hypothetically make the strongest creature in existence but they never will.
I thought princes couldn’t hurt eachother with there nen beast so how would prince tsuradnick hurt his sister prince for her to even use her cat ability
@@MatthewKGarr yeah that’s a great point, slipped my mind in the moment, guess it depends on what constitutes an ‘attack’ but Camilla might be immune to it
@ the goat replying 🫡 I love your vids man. Someone else pointed out the question, is this the nen beast he earned? Or the nen beast given by the urn. If by the urn then probably not, but if it’s the one he conjured up then hell yeah
Imagina seeing a human in the dark continent and he's just born with nen unlock and insanely bestial Maybe even a kin to something like Pickle from Baki series
The chances of humans being in the dark continent is definitely possible But not like we think If the earth was just a few islands on a lake then there might be other islands like that in other lakes that have low threat compared to the actual dark continent where creatures like humans can live and survive
The ants prolly wouldent get to the point of making a mereum that fast. Would take them alot more time but i think the ceiling would be higher because the ants scavaging a corpse of a a lvl threat would give them a big boost even thoufh they didnt take it down. Those possibilities would make the ceiling high but aas far as speed of development i think known world humans and nen users are prolly best nutrition a easy hunt could give them.
Chimera ants were weak in the dark continent going to human world because the environment is so hostile they weren't given the opportunity to grow. Like you're already fighting lvl. 100 boss from the get go in game. But the Chimeras did have the right opportunity to grow as they are now and they have now the right strength and intelligence to conquer the Dark Continent through Meruem because the has the actual ability to get stronger infinitely just by eating more and more weaker than him. If all hunters were to give themselves to Meruem to be eaten, there might be no entity in the Dark Continent that can match him physically. About other things like the calamities powers, he just need time and knowledge to overcome their abilities maybe with the exception of Nanika's limitless wish granting power.
I put my bets on meruen being only weaker than the highest class of dark continent monsters, maybe on the same ground. Why? the chimera ants had no knowledge of nen, which kinda imply that above b is where we see nem. But meruen isn't just a nem user, it is one of the best of them, so low s after bomb makes sense to me.
Also humans from dc might all have nen. We know any human can develop it so it makes sense that in the hostility of the dc only the ones who did survived. Also other dc creatures use nen (nanica)
I don’t believe the b rank the ants got also refer to meruem. I don’t see hxh just power gapping that hard with things that eclipse him when the top potential hunters like gon only maybe equated him. The only way they can do this would be for the threats be not just power related but hax. Or there is things in the dark continent that can power up nen users that they can’t train for naturally.
Common misconception is that people think the DC is typical shonen power level. Yes, the calamities have higher THREAT (not power level) than the chimera ants humanity faced is unlike the calamities, the ants can be reasoned, bargained and talked with. Unlike the calamities, a solution to the ants and Meruem was figured out The calamities likely do not have raw power on par with Meruem or his guards but they can kill much more efficiently and effectively. Look at Alluka. By herself, she is a normal human kid that can easily be killed but one wish can kill Meruem. If someone powerful didn’t know Nanika’s power, they can easily die from it. I’m sure though we will meet some or very few characters that are more powerful than the strongest hunters we have seen, but saying every DC creature can easily kill Meruem is just poor logic. Meruem can thrive on the continent if he is careful. As Netero said, the DC is not about “winning and losing battles” but hardcore survival. This is why Netero was disappointed in his expeditions there. But when he found out about Meruem, he got excited since it was a battle from the DC that can be fought with either victory or defeat to follow.
I do not subscribe to that theory that Meruem is fodder in the DC. Meruem is pretty much at the pinnacle of its species, which means he scales higher than the average Chimera Ant. Next, if we compare fighting levels, Netero(who did go and survived the DC a couple times), one of the strongest in the human species(a nation of which rank B+ to A-) wasn't even close to the power of Meruem; remember Meruem survived the countless attacks of the statue, Zero Hand, and a Rose bomb, meaning his strength would fare much better in a place like the DC.
Im sorry but what kind of question is this? Meruem only grew to what he was by consuming humans. Unless you're going to say that nerfed him theres no way. Now, this is Togashis nihilistic ass. He could have written it so consuming humans is what made him weak in more ways than psychologically. Then the board game seals his fate. I don't know actually i just talked myself into a 50/50
Yes he;s weak......remember hes a Ant........................Killuas sister/brother can blip him with a thought. Thats also something from the Dark Continent
I think so. Meruem would be the Radditz of the dark content for sure. Considering how the Ants aren't even on the top of the food chain over there. This is why the villain's of the series always get hold of their eggs to use to the own ends.
I think people fail to understand the terrors that the dark continent is hiding. If a younger netero can only survive enough to leave the continent, what makes you think that mereum will have a cake walk? It doesn't matter how intelligent meruem was and regardless of his nen, he would've still gotten folded in the dark continent. Especially if we can take an educated guess that they're probably creatures that are natural predators to chimera ants in the dark continent.
A cakewalk? No, but Mereum definitely would have a solid shot at rising to prominence. Though it does also sort of depend what “version” of Mereum we use Freshly born? He dies 100% because he’s far cockier, far less intelligent, and not quite as strong Mereum from the Netero fight? At the absolute low ball Mereum should be at minimum equal to young Netero while being smarter, I’d say if Netero could survive then so too could Mereum Post Rose- Assuming Mereum somehow survived the rose, this version of Mereum would absolutely survive We also have to consider, Mereum at the time of death, STILL hadn’t actually taken the time to develop a proper nen ability, he was a lot like Ging in that regard that everything we’ve seen em do, was through pure intelligence, talent, and raw strength. Until we actually get to the DC and see just how powerful the creatures there are directly, the biggest threat we know of is actually the hax effects of many of the things living there
@nfrance999 Actually, mereum did have a nen ability. It was called aura synthesis. This was pre-rose meruem as well. Remember, meruem may have been the most powerful being in the HxH world to date. However, it's just in THEIR world. The dark continent is a whole different beast. It doesn't matter what version of meruem you put in the dark continent. The DC would've still consumed him. Remember, the survival rate for the DC is 0.04 percent. Even humans in the absolute peak of their abilities, including nen has that percentage rate of survival. To add more insult to injury, we're not even talking about the entirety of the DC, just the shoreline of a lake somewhere in the DC!! So yes, the DC would be smoking that meruem pack easily.
This is such clickbait. We're talking about a world several times larger than the island that all of HxH takes place on. If Chimera Ants were any kind of dark continent threat, they wouldn't have gotten wiped by amateur hunters.
Hopefully Chapter 410 out today!

Aura exists in all so they all have that potential. That would also explain Hell Bell's abilities
Short answer: No
Long answer:What makes the Dark continent isn't the creatures alone but its the diseases and supernatural beings that creep up on you. That's been the main focus of the dark continent so far in the series.
I’ve been working on starting my anime page and tbh bro, I like how informative you are, no gimmicks and bait post like some others do, and you move with integrity. Salutes to you bro bro.
i'm glad your channel didn't die after jjk died i enjoy your content
JJK now joins the ranks of Demon Slayer as a series that ended too early
Keep in mind that the only creatures from the DC that we know are on the shores of the lake. Imagine what lays beyond that.
Human brains 🧠 is what made meruem the strongest and all other ants that were fed humans
"All Guardian Spirit Beasts created from the same Seed Urn are imbued with two primary instinctual rules:
they do not kill one another;
they do not directly attack a person possessed by a Guardian Spirit Beast."
So Tserriednich's Nen beast cannot attack Camilla directly.
Does that mean a royal can kill Camilla, because her nen beast couldnt attack the royal.
@@totallyjerd1751 The cat is not her *guardian nen beast.
Nah man you've over looked a couple things, The nen beasts can't directly attack other princes but Camilla is not a prince so Tserrys nen beast can harm her AND Camillas nen beast isn't one summoned via the seed urn so it is able to be harmed or dealt with
@@Tom-bi7irwhat are you on about? Camilla is a prince.
Pretty sure calamity powers are stronger than nen....
@@hamzaansari5435 we don't know if humans originated there. That's just a theory
About Camilla, you forgot that nen beasts can not attack other princes ( nen beasts owners ).
I don't get it. How is she not in the war? The term "prince" refer to all the sexes and genders.
Which information am I missing here? @@Tom-bi7ir
@@Tom-bi7ir True but Tserri's other nen beast (lol) isn't created by the seed urn either so he might just survive it
Cammila as in the second prince? Unless you are talking about another character named that or I got her name wrong.
She can very much use Cat's name (Her nen beast/ability) on other princes, while her guardian spirit beast actively can't hurt other princes.
I personally think meruem is pretty high on the food chain. He'll be fine of not get stronger from the dark continent
Yea. The threat rating didn't take post rose meruem into account nor his insane growth potential
@@SolidSnake240facts
The humans in the manga are able to access their spirit energy. That's what made them so strong.
If we ever explore the Dark Continent I definitely would like to see how native Chimera Ants work.
I thought the nen beasts couldnt attack other princes.
Beyond his reviews, insights and live reactions it was at this very moment @6:09 he transcended mere humanity and entered the realm of THE G.O.A.t.S!
0:57 I think we do beyond brought her here to kill his dad
Princes’ Nen beasts cannot target other princes
Even if Chrollo didn't remember the Kurta, Uvo sure as hell did
For the final question, that probably can’t happen. Camilla has a Guardian Nen beast and the rules say the beasts can’t attack anyone who has a beast
I be down for beyond/Ging to become the main character as we jump between w/e happening on the DC and gon getting his Nen back maybe dealing with Gyro
I don't think Kurapika surviving this arc tho same for the spiders Leorio will prob survive tho
I want Leorio to be Dark Continent protagonist, using his amazing hatsu and knowledge to gain advantage over nature and keep everybody safe
Now if meruem went on the dark continent he cud definitely produce a super baby
I have an embarrassing amount of hours on multiple street fighter games… we’re talking 1000’s lol… and I did not know that meme came from M.Bison who I main 😅. Didn’t expect to learn that on an manganamist HxH video that’s for sure.
Every Ant gansta until Chimera Ant Eaters walk in
Who wins Meruem or Beru?😮😅
What if they roll up on the dark continent and just a bunch of mereums on the shore
A better way of putting it is… physically yes but they wouldn’t have Nen that’s what made Meruem and the other ants so much more formidable
What indication do we have that the Queen was from the dark continent? Didn’t she say as she died that “perhaps” she has human DNA in her as well?
Meet potential species the Chimera ants. Oh boy when the queen consumes enough species she'll make something invincible. Oh boy if the queen eats an individual of this dangerous species. Chimera ant Queen always if and when but never is.
If Togashi had his way the ants would have won and Beyond Netero would have became the main character.
I'm expecting Leorio to survive the Black whale and arrive to the dark continent alongside Ging and Pariston
Its stated in the manga oariston us the reason for the chimera ants src and he have 200k ants more
I think netero's bought the ants to the human world, in order for his plane to start
The beast can't attack Camila, as GB can't attack other princess.
If meruem likes the taste of nen users, i wonder if dark continent creatures taste exponentially better for him
The Chimera ants might actually be potential species in the world of hxh they could of hypothetically make the strongest creature in existence but they never will.
I thought princes couldn’t hurt eachother with there nen beast so how would prince tsuradnick hurt his sister prince for her to even use her cat ability
Meruem being weak compared to DC creatures is same as
Calling Gon, a new born weakling.
Chapter 410 is out bro! Benjamin said there’s only 4 princes left does that mean 2 more died off screen?
I didn’t think the nen beasts could attack anyone else that has a nen beast in the contest?? I thought that was a rule
Imagina seeing a human in the dark continent and he's just born with nen unlock and insanely bestial
Maybe even a kin to something like Pickle from Baki series
The chances of humans being in the dark continent is definitely possible
But not like we think
If the earth was just a few islands on a lake then there might be other islands like that in other lakes that have low threat compared to the actual dark continent where creatures like humans can live and survive
Yes, he is probably a normal ant
Im expecting like 50% of the cast immedietly dies or hell maybe just like 6 ppl survive or something
Tserri can’t use his men beast on Camilla because she is a prince
Common misconception is that people think the DC is typical shonen power level.
Yes, the calamities have higher THREAT (not power level) than the chimera ants humanity faced is unlike the calamities, the ants can be reasoned, bargained and talked with. Unlike the calamities, a solution to the ants and Meruem was figured out
The calamities likely do not have raw power on par with Meruem or his guards but they can kill much more efficiently and effectively.
If Meruem didnt stay on one places.... He could've destroyed many countries
A normal king might be but he was mixed with nen users
Adapting one's nen is probably much easier in the human world do to them not needing emedeat brute strength
I dont know why this topic keeps coming up, its already been confirmed that Meruem is the strongest creature to exist in thw HXH universe
Weak compared to KASHIMO
My glorious king meruem
I don't know actually i just talked myself into a 50/50
yeah the ant queen was weak, but duh meruem at least should be the average level of dark continent
Chimera Ants were a B rated Dark Continent threat. They prolly are weaker on the DC since they arent top dogs at all
Yes he;s weak......remember hes a Ant........................Killuas sister/brother can blip him with a thought. Thats also something from the Dark Continent
i thought this was from solo levelling ngl
lol s2 drop yet?
I think so. Meruem would be the Radditz of the dark content for sure. Considering how the Ants aren't even on the top of the food chain over there. This is why the villain's of the series always get hold of their eggs to use to the own ends.
Wrong. Human world chimera ants were stronger because they have nen.
You really don't know how powerful the dark continent really is
I think people fail to understand the terrors that the dark continent is hiding.
Though it does also sort of depend what “version” of Mereum we use
Freshly born? He dies 100% because he’s far cockier, far less intelligent, and not quite as strong
Mereum from the Netero fight? At the absolute low ball Mereum should be at minimum equal to young Netero while being smarter, I’d say if Netero could survive then so too could Mereum
Post Rose- Assuming Mereum somehow survived the rose, this version of Mereum would absolutely survive
We also have to consider, Mereum at the time of death, STILL hadn’t actually taken the time to develop a proper nen ability, he was a lot like Ging in that regard that everything we’ve seen em do, was through pure intelligence, talent, and raw strength.
Amateur hunters didn’t wipe out the ants
Netero had some of the best hunters on the job
Gon and Killua were capable too
