Did u get any check engine lights after u did that? I put some on mine and the lights came out I took it to the bmw dealer and they say it’s because of the aftermarket kidney grills 😬🥺🤦🏻♂️
Nope! You definitely shouldn’t get any lights and if the BMW dealer is telling you it’s because of the aftermarket kidney grills then they’re wrong and uninformed or they want you to buy their own overpriced ones! When you’re taking it out and in you don’t touch any wiring or move anything else at all so it can’t be because of that

I understand now. So the original grille has a hole for the night vision camera to look through. When you put the black grille on that doesn’t have a hole for the night vision camera, does by chance the camera fall between the slats on the grille

On eBay there’s a good selection
Bmw was quoting me £200 labour to fit on the grill. They mentioned it needs some type of glue to be fitted on correctly. Don't know how true that is
In my opinion that’s not true. Unless you have some very unique option on the vehicle such as a night vision camera that makes it different and I have not tried it on something like that then it is simply held in by the clips (although I suspect it would be the exact same process). If you try and take the grilles out like in the video and they come out fine like they should, then there was no glue in the first place and there’s no need to add glue with the new ones.
@@gregoryjsealey cheers for the reply. Yeh I think the same thing regarding the glue a simple click in procedure like you showed in your video should suffice. Just another question, are the ones you fitted here official from BMW?
No problem at all. Nope my ones are from eBay. They’re literally the same and if not feel a bit better. When you buy the ones from eBay when you get them you may think they feel “plasticy”. But when you take off the original ones you’ll see how they feel just as plasticy. Point is when you put them on they look original
