@@NateGate dude, absolutely shall! unfortunately, doesn't look like I can watch it for free on any of the streaming services I've got atm, so it might take a minute, but check back in 3-4 business months and maybe I will have by then? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love murder mysteries. Grew up with shows like Midsomer Murders and Murder, Shew Wrote but now it really does feel like it can rarely be done well.
Silver lining is, when it is given the time and care it can be something amazing such as the example you listed of Knives Out. Even when it's not the full standard whodunnit category in the traditional sense there can be great murder mysteries made. My personal favourite modern one is Beyond Evil, it's a Korean show that was on Netflix and one of the best mysteries I've ever watched. Highly recommend it as it does a great job of making everyone's actions make sense once you learn more information as the show goes on.
On the poorer side of things, I watched about 10, maybe 15 minutes, of the modern remake for Death on the Nile and I couldn't stick with it as it felt like they were shouting the information at the viewer, rather than letting us pick up on potential motives and opportunities by paying attention.
One final positive note, which the video reminded me of with the clip of Who Killed Mr Burns, is that a TH-camr called Eddache made a great video on that Simpsons episode and how it's possible to solve it and figure out who the one killer must have been. It's a really good analysis of how a whodunnit should be written in a way that it's possible for the viewer to figure it out, but only if they pick up on all the clues and tick potential suspects off the list.

Thank you so much for the suggestions!!! I really wanted to put some footage of murder she wrote and midsummer murder (they were my mum's favourite shows when I was younger) but didn't have time. Also Columbo!!!!
What has annoyed me is how I forgot to talk about the show "house" in how you can change the genre subject but still keep the style to create entertaining narratives
I've been hearing bits about beyond evil but didn't know it was a mystery, I'm way more interested now, ill give it a watch for sure!!!
I really agree about death on the Nile, it was too worried about its setting to spend any time on subtle relationships and genuine interactions.
I will for sure give the Mr burns video a watch straight after this comment. i think I must have watched it ages ago but forgotten about it and subconsciously that's why I put the clip in and I'm only now realising! :)
