For now, it is impossible to match the onboard with every angle as the camera FOV in-game (onboards cannot be edited in LMU) differs from the one used IRL.
A cool thing to watch here is the way that front right wheel reacts to the bumps incredibly similar, and in the same locations, between the 2 videos. Most noticeable is at 0:49 in the video out of Piratella, just after the left kink of 10 down the hill before Acque Minerali. The bump causes the cars to react exactly the same in the 2 videos. Pretty cool.
LMU is the most realistic sim right now. Unfortunately some people don’t realize just how slippery these cars can be on cold tires and don’t bother to warm them up - then complain about the handling based on a grand total of 2 laps of driving.

Mmmm... Not really. I'd argue rFactor 2 is more realistic in terms of "feeling". I tested it myself on my wheel, (Moza KS w/ Moza R9 DD wheel base) and rFactor tends to have a clearer sense of limit. I tested this with two "similar" cars with the Porsche RSR in both LMU and rF2 over at Imola with 2 warm-up laps and 25 racing laps. (With mistakes because I'm not that great) Though rF2 has the older car but they're similar in terms of handling. rFactor 2, like I said earlier, is better in terms of giving you the feeling of "on the limit". The I can feel it in the wheel when I'm starting to lose grip and it's definitely a prominent feeling. In LMU, it's a bit more subtle. There's definitely that "on the limit of grip" feeling but it's not as prominent as on rF2. But I can't say whether one is more realistic than the other. I've never driven an actual racing car before, let alone go past 150km/h on corners. Of course, this could just be a bug and Studio 397 can definitely fix or improve it.
That’s the reason why 47 euros for the season pass are absolutely ok. It’s insane, how accurate lmu is. And people who are moaning about the price have no idea how much work s397 put into the physics.

ACC in v1 had a lousy netcode and a lousy tire model. V1 was catastrophic. And is a lmu supposed to be to blame for that now? We sim Racer are a fan of a niche product. Indeed! The developers are really putting all they dedication on Le Mans Ultimate, we can almost feel the smell of burning rubber. The sound departement its one of the best things in the sim, specially on the cockpit camera. Best early acess game that I bought on Steam 🙂
Yeah just don't put other cars on track, don't change the weather or time of day and don't look too closely at side track details. Ah and don't forget to have a coffee preparing each time you want to lead something. Geesh... This games looks and it feels good, if we were in 2015... just don't look at details, don't look at the car in front of you having 3D object poping in and out of existence within 2m. Don't or your experience will be ruined for ever.... arrr....

Loading times are long only once, until the track and cars are cached locally, then it's 30 seconds to a minute on an SSD and 90 seconds on a solid HDD. The tyres and suspension on ACC are beyond broken and are outside of the realms of reality, while the same cars on iR are 2-4 seconds a lap faster, whereas I am within a tenth of Fuoco with properly driving, not slowing myself down on purpose (I know this as 99% of people cannot crack 29s on LMU on Imola). I know your comment is bait, but find other purpose in life, other than spreading something that is blatantly not true, as per the video. Have a nice day.

Presumably bespoke models created by racing teams are closer to 1:1
every minor detail is present in the track, from the sponsors, to the gravel traps, to the kerbs... if only codemasters tried as hard as LMU, this game is awesome
It's funny, when I first saw LMU I didn't think much of it since it had to compete with like ACC and iRacing. And now I see it's far better than I initially gave it credit for.
Crazy. Only thing I noticed wrong is the arrows in the wrong place on pit entry (showing the split). On game they have been placed on the side of the barrier rather than the end.

This game requires a powerful CPU (Ryzen x3d), 32GB RAM and a powerful GPU with 16GB vRAM (e.g. 7900gre). Don't count on optimization. There will be no optimization

It’s not the most realistic. It only has the most realistic Hypercar tyre model, on cold tyres.
That does not make it state of the art in simracing.
