Came here to comment on JB's knees on the concrete as well. I keep a couple, simple gardening knee pads around just for situations like this since my (OEM, mod 1) 70 year old knees just can't do that anymore. I'm also wondering when we'll see JB using a hoist table to get these units off the 'deck' so he can work without being up and down so often. Ah, to be young again, though...right? Great video, as usual JB!

@@cjgeowyliekrit3351 if the are stripped you could carve a slot in them for a flat head screwdriver with a dremel if needed. The screws go into plastic so they should come out.

Any videos on newer Honda HRN 216 surging? Just sent mine into the shop. Tried spraying some carb cleaner but no luck. Any idea on what it could be/how much the fix will be?
My flywheel nut came loose on my Toro self-propelled. Nut came loose once again, I tighten the nut one more time 2 1/2 two 3 years old and the motor started knocking I knew it was game over I've never had a lawn mower motor blow up on me I guess I can't say never now I'm just taking the parts and putting it on another motor but anyways thank you for the video
I’d like to ask a question about my toro 21 inch recycle transmission. I have it set to low pace. Then out of to blue it goes in high speed and won’t release. It’s 4 months old.
Hard to tell what the problem is without seeing it in person. I would check you cable to make sure it’s set right. If that doesn’t work take it to a shop.
Like a video how to clean collektorbag it was a messy job have to put in a bin for minimum 24 hours then multicleaner and pressurewash it ,but now it looks like new and work a lot better 😅
I tilt my honda hrx after every mow towards the oil dip stick to clean under. Sometimes, it starts up and shoots out oily smoke like yours did and sometimes it doesn’t. How can I make sure it doesn’t shoot out oily smoke?? Do I have to make sure its at tdc on the compression stroke?
It’s kinda hard to avoid. You could tip the mower back and lift the front wheels up to get under there. You will have to get down on the ground though most likely
Hey JB- great video! Shouldn't you have taken the opportunity to sharpen the blade? I finally remembered to subscribe!! Thumbs up from Iowa. "Stupid baby carriage handle!"
Hey Chuck! I’m on limited time lately in the garage! I’ll catch there blade next time I have the table out in the driveway! Appreciate you bud! What’s the plan for the weekend?
Once again the difference between the recycler and super recycler. Super recycler has an aluminum case transmission , but a more delicate drive pinion set up, which in m opinion needs more frequent maintenance.
Absolutely a great video. You walk us through the process step by step. Well explained. Just out of curiosity how old is this mower to have the tranny 💩out like it did ?
Once you have all the crap out of the way, including the belt cover off, might as well take out the drain plug and drain it all out, flush it, and add a magnet on the plug.
I really wish they would put some better quality parts in a lot of equipment considering the prices they charge us. I would be willing to pay more for something that is quality built!
Another example of newer isn't better. How old is this Toro? Plastic washers? Shot transmission? My 20 year old Toro super recycler going strong with original transmission.
